As ever, the environmental editing you do for your voice is ASTOUNDING -- one of my favorite things you do! Entering space and making it sound like you're speaking through the helmet? SO COOL. You're one of the most immersive creators I've ever had the pleasure of watching, and I hope this video takes off like a shot, I'd love to see you complete a classic!!
God, this really makes me feel old lmao. I was 14 when it came out in 2008. I'm 28 now. I'm so happy to see people experiencing this series for the first time. My favourite was DS2 and I hope they remake the second one seeing as this one looks like it's going to do well in sales, have fun guys : ) P.S i actually recommend lowering the brightness settings for an even creepier feel :P
Also born 1994 and am 28. Time goes by so fast once you’re an adult. Loved this game but it terrified me as a kid. I played one and two recently and had a lot easier of a time with it.
I remember playing this, and the later games. I love that Isaac got a voice in the remake. Its also fun to see IGP's reactions to things. It would be amazing to see you doing a full playthrough of the game, even if it takes several episodes
In the original game Isaac was mostly confined to grunts and assorted mouth noises, and indeed had no spoken dialogue. You are able to see his face after the crash landing when the game gives you this brief opportunity to turn the camera around before he puts his helmet on, and you see his face at the end of the game.
The game progression is about the same as I remember. Dead space was great at tension management, that part where it presented you the monster like it was the first time was just to create tension before the combat. It does that a lot, builds up, then lots of combat and then calms down. One of the many reasons this game was a horror masterpiece. Also, I hate to backseat, but the game hinted at you several times you should cut their limbs off. That is why it is taking so long and so much ammo for you to kill them.
This is great! Love watching someone's first playthrough. Also loving the minimal edits. Please make this into a series! Would love to watch you see it through to the end!
i really do love the effects on the voice you add, like the effect when isaac went into the vacuum. absolutely great game, first time seeing it. really hope for a part 2
It is worth it to continue a video for this. Please do it. Your comments and and reactions are hilarious. It's great man. Keep going with the Dead Space Reamake. Other UA-camrs are covering it so keep it up mam. IGP for Dead Space!
No idea why, but it was driving me nuts at the fact he wouldn’t just sell a small med pack, or a little bit of ammo, for the tiny amount he needed for the upgraded suit lmao, great video
he has this astounding ability to not pay attention to important details or read things when it's first brought up, so i seriously doubt he even realized that there was an option to sell things, even though he looked right at it lol what REALLY bugged me was how he passed right over a room he had to reroute power to open its door in the cargo area and he would have gotten a bronze semiconductor. would have tipped him over the amount he needed as soon as he got to the tram. But that's just my inner loot goblin getting annoyed.
@@necrochemical5572 it truly amazes me at how oblivious he is to the most basic things, stuff that, THE GAME TELLS YOU. That’s why I normally don’t watch IGP for games that are story driven or that have really intricate ways to play.
I watched the animated movie first which terrified me out of playing the game. Watching you play scares me back into when I was a young teen, I can't help but feel the anxiety of potential panic attacks about to come on when I hear the ambiance.
Game play wise yea they die when you cut the limbs off but lore wise they don't ever die they're just rendered immobile. Also really loving the remake it's so awesome that your voice actually changes when you enter the vacuum in space. Maybe these remakes will be the thing that nets us a dead space 4!?
Dude you've become my fav game tuber by far. Dig your insights and attention to detail, and you genuinely seem passionate about investigating these titles and enjoying their journeys. Props fr
Im so hyped you're finally playing this! Though for future reference the ones that crawl on the walls and ceiling you should aim for the head/neck if you want to be efficient.
What an absolute rare gem it is to get to see someone’s first play through of this i wish I could experience the primal fear I had at 10years old first playing this, how time flys by
Dammmn, I remember being 18 playing this for the first time. It was intense and different, and hard because it was so intense like the necromorphs did not hesitate for a second!! Now I'm a couple weeks away from 33 and seeing all these old games coming back remastered/remade is making me feel extra old lately
Glad to see you're enjoying it. My playthough is about as far as this video, and so far it's playing a lot like the original, just less clunky. I'm undecided if the smoother controls are "good", as the awkwardness of it added a lot to the oppressive atmosphere of the original game. If it's like the original, the game will also leave you fairly free to go back and explore previous areas for any loot you've missed. Some of the late game upgrades can get expensive, so backtracking is a way you can pick up some extra credits between recording sessions.
If you want to know a good tip on how to conserve ammo without just spamming shots you should try and use your stasis on enemies to slow them down. You can also get suit upgrades using nodes that extend stasis duration, stasis blast size, etc which can help a lot in terms of crowd control so that you don't have to worry about panicking and popping off shots like crazy. Also, if I remember correctly from my experience of playing the original game, most of the basic enemies will die regardless if they lose 2 limbs so my recommendation to conserve more ammo is to focus fire on 1 leg then one arm once they're on the ground. For the crawlers that have spike tails I'd recommend toggling your plasma cutter to being vertical rather than horizontal since that should make it easier to sever their arms. Other than that stuff my only other suggestion would be to look around the map as much as possible (even if you're going to backtrack on yourself) instead of just trying to blaze right through the game as much as possible because the reason why you aren't finding all that much ammo and such anymore is because after Chapter 01 the devs start hiding a lot of the major loot in side rooms and such. My personal favorites I would call "loot rooms" since these rooms specifically would have multiple containers to loot and a node box inside of them. P.S. Stomp every human corpse you see. You'll understand as to why later on down the line.
Not sure if they kept this feature, but you should be able to use the limbs from the necromorphs with kinesis to impale others to save ammo. What a nostalgic thrill this one was though!
That wasn’t in Dead Space 1, it was introduced in Dead Space 2, but they added it to the remake so you can do it now to conserve ammo, but there’s no need, the game gives you plenty of ammo, IGP just doesn’t pay attention when the game tells him something. And as much as I hate to say it, he kinda sucks at this game, *FOR NOW*, I’m sure he’ll read some of the tips and take pointers from us who have been playing this game the past 15 years, and maybe, just maybe, he’ll get good. Love IGP and his videos, it’s just certain games require you to pay attention and do certain things in order to progress or properly play the game.
You should for sure continue IGP! It gets so much more insane as you go thru, not te mention the weapons and armor upgrade system. I might get this to replay, I loved all three games!
this remake was my first entry into dead space as well. I had always heard good things so I decided to give this a try. just finished the game last night and all I can say is WOW. I hope you do more videos on this game.
coming from someone who mainly uses the pulse rifle. it starts off somewhat shitty, but its a force of nature once its upgraded. so happy to see you play this. i hope you play its entirety so we can see someone with fresh eyes on it experience this.
IGP I really think it is worth the wait. The models of the creatures, to even just the graphics alone. I never really fully played the original version and I have really no say in comparison, but what I can take at least from the beginning is that it looks like they are following the same story. There are new things like Isaac speaking and that will change the experience by some. Yet when you lost track of time due to how much fun you were having that should be a good indicator that it is worth it. I would love to see more of you play it in video format. Also when it came to the security lady in the medical center with what looked like a floating hand in front of her, it wasn't floating it had a really long finger that was lodged into her chest which caused it to suspend in front of her. It was really hard to tell from the angle you were at, but when you moved I could see the rest of the finger.
I didn't even think of it being a horror game until a couple years ago when someone mentioned it. "What do you mean, it's not a... a... huh, I guess it actually is". And funny thing is I don't like playing horror, but the DS series is one of my all time faves.
Hey Indy, so great to see you finally play this. It was the first game that truly had me on the edge of my seat. The suspense horror is just amazing. Some tips though from someone who's played the original: Shoot the limbs. That's all they respond to. Don't aim at their bodies, don't do a headshot. Cut off the legs first, then maybe one more arm and they're done for. For the crawlers, shoot off the arms and they're harmless. Turn your plasma cutter vertical for this. For the babies, wait until the stop and get the three tentacles out. They're stationary when they want to attack. Shoot the tentacles off to kill 'em. Can be done with just one shot if you aim close enough to their bodies. The bodies themself don't really get hurt, so don't shoot those. The plasma cutter will be your most used weapon by far. The pulse rifle is useless, since they don't care about bullets. If you find it, or can buy it, the line gun is incredible. Hall full of enemies? Blammo, all legs are cut off. Crawling on their arms? Zapp, gone. It also has a nice mine secondary function. The weapons that you carry in your weapon slots determine the ammo you find. Get that pulse rifle into the store storage, or you keep finding useless pulse rounds, instead of the better plasma cutter ammo. Stasis can also be used on enemies. Too many? Freeze them. If you need kinetic for a door, there's usually a charging station nearby. Don't use stasis all that much? The refills you can find can be sold for large amounts. Impaling them with kinetic is awesome. You can also rip their giant claws off, to shoot at the next one. There's no charge for kinetic, so this is free ammo. You can also lob explosive cannisters at them this way. Remember that you can also take a swing at things. If you're floating in zero g, that's the way to open storage boxes, or enemies. Also, don't shoot the breaker at some doors. Save ammo, punch it. If you see a blue or green light, there's something you can do or pick up. If you see yellow bulbs, shoot it. The original started practically the same as this one. So no, that part where you were wondering if the original started there, because of how you saw those monsters being presented, they just tried to scare you. And yes, you're correct, in the original Isaak never showed his face and didn't say anything, except for some moans and grunts. Have fun! I hope you get as scared as I was.
13:23 to answer your question about the sound basicly ASMR tingles or "goosebumps "ect ect in a better context in scary situations (dead space) its shivers, in amazing situations (god of war ragnorok: the call of ghjalahorn scene (personaly goosebumps every time) its goosebumps and then theres the short cut of asmr where its smashing that brain button in a relaxed setting making it tingles
The original paved the way for gore and atmospheric horror, having the best ragdoll gore and dismemberment mechanics... Along with the terrifying death screens where Issac gets ripped appart.
19:24 surely it is because, in this case, everyone is panicking and doubting everyone else. You can kinda come in and gather info on everything to your advantage... or well, at least that is why I think Isaac could survive :P
I love that you got to play this!! Will follow every video of it if it becomes a series until you finish. When I got to watch youtube, Dead Space was the first game I have watched playthroughs of... Memories... Also not much has changed from the original besides Isac not being silent protagonist and his face showing. I kinda liked that part in the original. A few hints, if you don't mind... - You can stomp dead stabby dudes and use their arms(blades) to impale other enemies. Can save ammo that way. - Using the plasma cutter: cut both legs and then one shot to the head is usually all you need for simple stabby dudes. - Exploration pays off big time :)
Bro you gotta turn this into a series, this is one of the best games I've seen in a long damn time, not to mention a hilarious UA-camr in the seat playing, bro please turn this into a series.
I'd love to see IGP do a full playthrough of this, but goddamn watching him essentially spray and pray with that pulse rifle was hard. That and wasting so much ammo on the babies. Either way, I would love to see this continued.
The edited voice of being in a vacuum was perfection haha Also yes I wanna see more. Just remember, you're running out of ammo cuz you need to be more surgical with cutting their limbs off. The babies are eating ammo because body shots do far less damage. You have to wait for them to expose the tentacles and cut em off
IGP : "why won't they die!?" IGP keeps forgetting the 1st rule of dead space 'cut their limb' he tends to do bullet barrage into the necromoph rather than precise cut to the limbs.
Just a few tips, Slashers, the blade handed ones, have free blades on their hands, use those to harpoon things. Leapers, the sabertooth crawly ones, have tail tips that can do the same. Lurkers, the babies, are killed easily by shooting the tentacles when they come out.
easily top 5 best youtubers. thx for playing this. also, if you do comeback to this, the plasma rifle can be used the defeat enemies when ur surrounded, and you can slow enemies with the stasis pack. also, u can shoot the baby tentacles off. also, if u don't continue then guess u'll miss the regenerating one and the leviathan!
I love that you get to experience this game for the first time ! It's still one of my most favourite games ! So far, from watching you play the remake, it looks the exact same, just prettier graphically :)
My favourite, scariest game. So happy with the remake and watching you experience it for the first time brings back so many memories. I’d love it if you went through the game. So many wonderful, horrible reveals! Peace!
Some advice for you since I've played some of the games. Always be precise with your shots. If it sticks off the torso or glows, shoot it. And go for the tentacles on the babies instead of the main body. This applies with all weapons except explosives, which actually benefit from body shots.
Not sure if you noticed but you can use singularity on the enemy's to slow them down makes aiming at limbs easier, also those creepy scorpion kind of mobs the ones crawling on the floor that has a weird tail looking thing it is the main weak point if I recall correctly.
IGP, you are absolutely gonna suffer later on if you don't take some time to explore. Go into the rooms that aren't marked as your objective and use those circuit breakers to open the other paths to get a lot of extra supplies. It will be worth it in the long run Also, you can use kinesis to pick up the breakable crates and throw them to break them in zero g
It's so funny watching someone experience this series for the first time. But I have some advice if you are willing to read it. You can use Stasis to slow necromorphs down to shoot the limbs easier. You can use the Kenesis to rip blade limbs off the dead ones to shoot at the others. And for the babies, wait for the tentacles and shoot those over shooting the body itself. Good luck with the rest. I love the videos and look forward to seeing more of them
Try to take your time and survey every room and area. There are lots of boxes and items to grab. Also, the lore; there's tons of eerie and intriguing lore scattered around. From writings on the wall to notes and random holoscreen ads and other things.
If you do end up playing this again. When going up against the babies, wait until their tentacles come out and shoot off two that'll kill them and save you ammo. You can also use your telekinesis to grab the dead necromorph's limbs and use those to impale the others. I do hope you continue this game. It is always nice to see genuine first time player reactions on such a beloved game. :)
Considering how much I avoid horror games now it amazes me how my 13-14 year old self played this game the whole way through back in 2008. Keep bringing back the memories!
Important thing to remember IGP, the game will give you more of the stuff you lack when it comes to loot. So if you got a tone of health packs, you'll find more ammo. If you got more ammo, more health packs. Also precision shots at limbs is key. And you can use Kenesis to pick up blades off of dead one, or even any blue pips and impale enemies with them.
Very cool bruh! Just commenting and liking to add engagement, the longer videos i think certainly tend to be the best ones. Because then you get to live along to the game or situation or whatever. Anyway always glad to see new stuff like this whatever you do!
IGP, When using the plasma cutter aim for arms, legs, tentacles. The baby enemies, wait for the tentacles to pop out the back and shoot off two of em. Take out two legs and an arm for the humanoid ones. You'll find fat guys attached to walls, shoot tentacles attached to the walls and then the head. The crawling sprinting guys shoot arms/tail, two limbs should do it. Flip the vertical/horizontal orientation to opposite of the limb you're aiming for. Double check main/side missions and slow down a bit in general, you can access different options with the circuit breakers and you'll find items in odd places, most items have a glow to them. TMI, i get it. Basic tips, will help a lot. This game is so awesome, have fun my man. Side note, I am LOVING what you're doin with your voice in different environment settings
When you play again use your status and freeze them easier to shoot there limbs off also when you get kenosis you can use there arm and stick them to the wall it’s awesome looking when you do bro. I love this series wish they would do more with it. Also the plasma gun is actually the best gun in the game once you completely upgrade it and your getting to the good stuff now you got to keep on playing bro
FYI on that zero G u found a box but u cant break it with melee/stomp but u can pick up that breakable box with ur magnetic thingy, and smash it into a wall near you so u can pick up the resource within the box just like when u picked that rod to impale enemies
Please look for more loot in the undesignated area's, you'll find a lot of things you need. Plus you can use the necromorphs blade 'arms' as a throwable with kenesis
If you played it back in 2008, you'd see how it revolutionized horror games: no hud, all menus are live in game, enemies required a different way to kill, random jumps and dead enemies would just get up, ntm the in-game cinematic sequences. All that stuff is pretty much general practice now.
Need more! And btw the rifle has a secondary fire, well all weapons have a secondary function. Protip: use kinesis on those blue cryo/electric thingys on the ground, slows down the enemies! Think I may start this up again!
I loved this game when it came out, there was absolutely nothing like it and it was terrifying. The next-gen update looks amazing and finally giving Isaac a voice is great.
Yes, ive been waiting for you to play dead space Tips Don't shoot the baby yet wait for their tentacles to come out aim for those it will save you ammo. The Machine gun is shit to cut enemies useful to some cases like bosses where you aim for weaknesses the yellow glowing part Flamethrower would be the best one for crowd control

God, this really makes me feel old lmao. I was 14 when it came out in 2008. I'm 28 now. I'm so happy to see people experiencing this series for the first time. My favourite was DS2 and I hope they remake the second one seeing as this one looks like it's going to do well in sales, have fun guys : )
P.S i actually recommend lowering the brightness settings for an even creepier feel :P
Shit, dude. Also 28.
World's changed so much.
If this sells well they might
Thank god you told us your current age else I would've been scrambling my brain forever wondering
@@NickyNicest nice sarcasm lmao
The pulsrifle is actually very strong, but you need to aim at the limbs. the enemys can tank a lot of Body shots.
An hour video? Hell yeah. Can’t wait to watch this!
A true classic never dies (No pun intended either, lol).
never dies? should have gone for the shins.
"That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die"
Abdul Al Hazred (the mad prophet)
It is worth it to continue a video for this. Please do it. Your comments and and reactions are hilarious. It's great man. Keep going with the Dead Space Reamake. Other UA-camrs are covering it so keep it up mam. IGP for Dead Space!
No idea why, but it was driving me nuts at the fact he wouldn’t just sell a small med pack, or a little bit of ammo, for the tiny amount he needed for the upgraded suit lmao, great video
That, and also the fact he kept going for bodyshots.
I kept telling myself "all he had to do was sell that small pack of plasma cutter ammo and he would've been set" 🤣
i was hoping to see him use the stasis onto a enemie right after he got it, but nothing happened with it xD
he has this astounding ability to not pay attention to important details or read things when it's first brought up, so i seriously doubt he even realized that there was an option to sell things, even though he looked right at it lol what REALLY bugged me was how he passed right over a room he had to reroute power to open its door in the cargo area and he would have gotten a bronze semiconductor. would have tipped him over the amount he needed as soon as he got to the tram.
Need a complete playthrough, asap. Absolutely love watching you play this
Audio design was nuts back then, crazy how they've only improved it ten fold! My favorite Platinum 15 years ago. 🥰
19:05 you have no idea how much I think about this whenever I read a book or watch a movie or play a game. It's nice to know it's not just me.
Was about to go to bed after a bad day then IGP dropped this gem. Looks like imma be up a bit longer 🙂
Same. After witnessing a bad accident, I was about to go to bed as well. But this video pops up and I really wanted something to cheer me up!
Props fr
I love when he edits his audio to match his surroundings. It’s the little cherries on top of his already lovable content cake.
Honestly happy you're playing Dead Space! Hope you can figure out how to dismember them in fewer shots, man!
FINALLY YOU'RE PLAYING IT! and it looks so good as well
this remake was my first entry into dead space as well. I had always heard good things so I decided to give this a try. just finished the game last night and all I can say is WOW. I hope you do more videos on this game.
I'm so glad that you're finnaly playing this game!
coming from someone who mainly uses the pulse rifle. it starts off somewhat shitty, but its a force of nature once its upgraded. so happy to see you play this. i hope you play its entirety so we can see someone with fresh eyes on it experience this.
I just love how the more you stomp repeatedly the angrier Issac seems to get 🤣🤣
IGP I really think it is worth the wait.
This was one of my favorite horror games from my childhood. As long as EA doesn't pull their usual bs you'll love the game.
I didn't even think of it being a horror game until a couple years ago when someone mentioned it. "What do you mean, it's not a... a... huh, I guess it actually is". And funny thing is I don't like playing horror, but the DS series is one of my all time faves.
Yeah like with ds3…
Hey Indy, so great to see you finally play this. It was the first game that truly had me on the edge of my seat. The suspense horror is just amazing.
Some tips though from someone who's played the original:
Shoot the limbs.

Hm?
13:23 to answer your question about the sound basicly ASMR tingles or "goosebumps "ect ect in a better context in scary situations (dead space) its shivers, in amazing situations (god of war ragnorok: the call of ghjalahorn scene (personaly goosebumps every time) its goosebumps and then theres the short cut of asmr where its smashing that brain button in a relaxed setting making it tingles
The original paved the way for gore and atmospheric horror, having the best ragdoll gore and dismemberment mechanics... Along with the terrifying death screens where Issac gets ripped appart.
I would love to see play more! Watching you experience for this for the first time has been so much fun!
Please play more of this, it was a lot of fun watching, couldn't stop.
I liked how you changed your voice for the zero gravity scene. Very cool, thank you. Also please play more of this
I'd love to see IGP do a full playthrough of this, but goddamn watching him essentially spray and pray with that pulse rifle was hard. That and wasting so much ammo on the babies. Either way, I would love to see this continued.
The edited voice of being in a vacuum was perfection haha
Also yes I wanna see more. Just remember, you're running out of ammo cuz you need to be more surgical with cutting their limbs off. The babies are eating ammo because body shots do far less damage. You have to wait for them to expose the tentacles and cut em off
IGP : "why won't they die!?"
IGP keeps forgetting the 1st rule of dead space 'cut their limb'
he tends to do bullet barrage into the necromoph rather than precise cut to the limbs.
Definitely need more of this from you. Getting to see someone play Dead Space for the first time, is never boring XD
13:23 You Sir are having your Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response trigger when you hear that noise! I get the same way over certain sounds!
I really like how you edited your voice during the zero gravity sections, added a lot to the immersion!
You HAVE to keep playing, this is so much fun to watch!
I really hope you end up recording a whole series for this game. It’s so good
IGP, you are absolutely gonna suffer later on if you don't take some time to explore. Go into the rooms that aren't marked as your objective and use those circuit breakers to open the other paths to get a lot of extra supplies. It will be worth it in the long run
Also, you can use kinesis to pick up the breakable crates and throw them to break them in zero g
I love the videos and look forward to seeing more of them
I love the unedited videos. I love all of your videos
Once again, the attention to detail with this guy! The space segment was perfection! Gotta love it!
13:34 I never experience ASMR from the asmr videos and stuff. But I always get it from music like that too. Tingling down the spine.
I like the effects he’s done to his voice when he enters the vacuum and the large open areas 🤣
Watching you play this is really entertaining. Are you gonna upload another video on this? I'd really like to see you play more
15 years and this is still my favorite game it’s something that’s actually a horrifying concept considering it’s sentient organic hive mind.
I loved this game when it came out, there was absolutely nothing like it and it was terrifying.
The next-gen update looks amazing and finally giving Isaac a voice is great.
Yes, ive been waiting for you to play dead space
Tips
Don't shoot the baby yet wait for their tentacles to come out aim for those it will save you ammo.
The Machine gun is shit to cut enemies useful to some cases like bosses where you aim for weaknesses the yellow glowing part
Flamethrower would be the best one for crowd control
Omg!!! I can’t even be mad at you for waiting this long to play it. Because now I can watch!!!!!!!! This game brings back so many childhood memories of me and my sisters sitting on the couch while I play this game and me having to pause it in the middle of a scary part so we could all scream and hold each other until I could gather the courage to hit play again. I looovvveer this game and I’m so stoked to be watching my favorite gamer be playing it!!!! Love you IGP!!!!! ❤
Igp please make this into a series, I promise you that you will be thanking us all by the end of the game. There's some shit about it too that we can tell you about and hopefully get you badass gear, (only in the occurrence that you missed it due to not exploring, which you really should do every last corner) lol
Holy smokes man! I've watched people play this game a couple of times but, by far yours has been the most enjoyable! I really hope you keep going with a dead space series!
I really enjoyed the concept of the video not being edited as you said, gave it a cool vibe 👌
Bro I'd love to see the rest of this as the updates to this game are awesome! Also hells yeah I really enjoyed watching you jam this. Definitely better than calisto protocol. It was fun seeing you learn the things I learnt and genuinely enjoying the game.😁🤘
