AMEN BROTHER!!! For some unknown, well unknown TO ME when I hear/watch Mr. CT I can understand, visualize exactly what it (Lesson) is that Mr. CT is trying to convey and teach.
I can then immediately work through, or mimic the lesson that is being put forth and I can even identify, for the most part where I am going wrong or what I am doing wrong and then work to correct my problem in order to practice, and hopefully instill the correct way through practice, live and dry fire in order to make it rote/embedded/memorized and automatic in my brain.
I have watched and listened to other "Experts" in their field of __??? (Which they are experts at their craft" and have to constantly go back over and over to try and figure out what they are trying to point out. Why? Well because a lot of these experts aren't very good teachers, as in they can't get a message, or "Teach" a lesson to other people without a high degree of confusion or being repetitive BUT I understand and know what Mr. Mick here is teaching and on the first time
I DO KNOW that there is nothing in a video that equals a hands on, face to face lesson but there is nothing worse than a lesson that is kept a secret and/or never even heard.
I wish to hell that I could get a hands on, face to face class with Mr. Carry Trainer but I am a 62 year old man that haven't been able to run since my first of 5 total hip replacement surgeries at the age of 29 and a 62 year old man that is coming off of his first, and hopefully last/only battle with cancer that was diagnosed on June 6th 2023. With all of this being said I am far from the average 62 year old as anyone can be. I am/was spry, flexible, in good shape and as most people that know me say "Ornery as fuck" that was 6' 1" and 185 Lbs before June of 2023 and now down to 6' to 5' 11" and 140 Lbs and trying like hell to work my way back to at least 170 Lbs .... This "Non-Running" has always been and always will be the big reason that I never took a hands on, face to face class with any trainer as the few trainers that I did contact would say that I HAVE to be able to RUN as I may possibly hold the rest of the class back with my slow pace of moving and I CONCUR and 100% FULLY AGREE with these thoughts from trainers so I thought well hell, I will just be cannon fodder and a delay mechanism for the innocent people that I care about protecting that are either with me or in my vicinity
Mr. Mick, please "Keep on keeping on" for the sad sack people such as myself and please do so without paying any attention to the "Non Teacher Experts" and I KNOW this is a hard thing to do but keep your head high and push through the BS from all of the so called experts and also please realize that you ARE helpful in keeping at least one person informed as much as possible and that one, sure person that you help immensely is ME!

As former law-enforcement, who has also trained in all kinds of things for over 40 years. I'm gonna tell you right now that first off none of the guys that tell you they are invincible are invincible or they wouldn't get shot up all the time which they clearly do just look around at vets. That's war guys and remember half the ones that take them down they aren't anything special. Violence isn't simple like that. It's not a football game. They want to tell you that because they're selling you something...don't listen to it. Look at how many these supposed elite heroes have been exposed for possibly fabricating a lot of what they claim to have done. Were they smokeless fire guys. Be careful who you follow. Why would anyone need to draw and rack the slide if they are properly prepared? Israeli carry is not taught in CCW courses. Moreover, 1.57 seconds isn't his best time. I've seen people draw and place a shot on target in under 0.90 seconds. My fastest time is 1.10 seconds from an IWB holster using a full-size pistol. What's most important is a fast draw combined with a slow trigger press, because the real measure of success is whether you can place the shot where you intended to hit.

As one who came from, many years ago, SOF, there is nearly zero context overlap of being on a 12 man team with every available resource a radio call away and laying in your bed, in the middle of the night, and discovering an uninvited "guest" outside your bedroom door. I teach full time and very little of what I did in the service of Uncle Sugar means anything to the dad with a child on the way who wants to learn to better protect his family or the woman involved in a bad relationship who is afraid of being harmed. The folks that claim that military or LE experience is necessary often have ego challenges and are leaning on yesterday instead of what they are working on today.

Your video on Pistol draw and return to holster is the best instruction I've seen on the subject. It helped me in learning to utilize my natural body mechanics and become much more proficient with my handgun. Seriously under rated video.
You sell out your classes and have all kinds of people that not only support you, but truely appreciate what you have to offer. That is testomony enough that you're doing something right. Don't worry about what eletist dicks have to say about being a citizen and keep doing what you love and have a passion for. Nobody got hurt that night, luckily. I had been trained with a M-16 but never with a pistol. Ever since then, I've heard people say one shouldn't carry without training. I've had considerable training since then, but I'd never tell somebody responsible to go unarmed because they haven't been trained. Fact is I'll never be "highly trained" or in fine fighting shape, I just make do with what I've got. "Pros" forget about this sometimes.

I go to the range as often as I can to keep my skills sharp. However every time I go to the range, 80% of the people who come in with targets at 15 or 20 feet can’t cover their cover their shot strings with a yard stick. You teach the basics of safety, proper handling and improving their marksmanship skills. I see some of these tactical gurus teaching things that are going to get their students some prison time. There's a giant industry built around the idea that everyone who carries needs to get high-level training and specialty gear that is actually 95% unnecessary for 99.9% of us.

I have run into a handful of the elitist types over the years. They all say a similar thing. What keeps me coming back to the craft is seeing somebody (who is cared of guns or had a bad experience) go through a lesson and do very well. To see their face light up after correctly performing the fundamentals and they hit the bullseye. That counteracts any of the naysayers that occasionally come along. We don't do it for the elitists, we do it for those that need quality instruction.

I teach at a range where cops train all the time. The only negligent discharge with injury at this place since I have been there was by a set of police officers during training. Nothing against officers but some of the least trained with firearms I have met are officers. At least in S. Florida it seems to be part of their culture. For some reason, they don't seem to think they need to train with their weapon.

Devgru/Delta teaches handgun basics over and over so that their soldiers become the best, and we know they are the best.
Just as the BASIC FUNDEMENTALS in Jits are the backbone of a good competitor.
Some of best spec ops operators who has youtube vids are bad teachers. Maybe good operators, but definitly not good teachers. You are a great and entertaining teacher.
"So, dont be a dickhead" and let them get into your mind.😂
    We love you Micky.

Keep at it!!! Ive been trying for awhile now to schedule one of your classes!!! I am non LEO/military, so I would rather learn from someone that lives "my life". NO disrespect, just different training mindsets! Im a pretty close neighbor, but hell of a work/life schedule. I will make it eventually!

Mickey. I learned how to shoot pistol watching your video's on UA-cam. I shoot better than any SpecOps people I know. Not to mention some of the most ignorant gun stuff I've ever heard has been from military and law enforcement. Sorry but it's true.
Keep doing what you are doing and thank you.

You provide and deliver a superb product to the people that need training. You have proven that you are not entitled and liberal, but have the life saving discipline to teach others. America's Founding Fathers are looking down from Heaven with Joyous Discipline and Gratification from the work they help create.

You are exactly right. Personally, ex-military or cop is a red flag for me, there are a few cool ones, but for the most part, I'm tired of their tone and vibe. I'm retired military, I saw more wannabes than anyone wants to believe. Same is true for cops, lots of losers who want to make a carreer playing cops and robbers. Your series on the P365 is priceless, I got one because of you. I'm glad to hear that the jealous NO IDENTITY goof balls don't bother you. How difficult is it to just not watch the channel again? Keep up the great work -- please.

Hey ...on the whole... "you gotta be an "operator" to be qualified to be a trainer thing.... BS... a lot of agency and military trainers I find have specality in law enforcment gun employment or war fighting... carrying a gun as a civilian in the united states is a whole different ball game as far as ROE, legality etc. Its different and a lot of what they teach doesn't apply to what joe blow citizen has to do to defend himself on the street, in his home, at work etc.
