I really hope that with the inclusion of skateboarding into the olympics, a wider audience can appreciate and understand the beauty of skateboarding. In the same way that events like ice skating have been recognized as an art form, so is skateboarding. It's a personal expression of athleticism combined with creativity.
On that note, anybody who has taken the time to read this should watch some street parts if you're into it. Shane O'neill, Yuto Horigome, Nyjah Huston, Chris Joslin, Mark Suciu, Milton Martinez, Cody McEntire have all put out some amazing work over the years, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many others worth watching for their dedication to the craft. Cheers everyone, and buen dia!

Jeezzzz. F.A.O. sports commentators: Seriously, take the day off for skating. That was a Ghetto Bird Joslin stomps (who says “stamps”?!) last trick and it was an alleyoop backside flip over the rail. Not a “Backside flip the hard way”. 🤦🏻♂️If these weird comps are gonna be bearable to watch, letting actual skaters commentate would help.
