Cara ele moleque passou muito trabalho, me lembro que se fosse ontem, não tinha tênis não tinha skate, o primeiro cara a presentear ele foi Nilton urina com Shap, e ele mesmo sendo muito pobre como a grande realidade de skatistas raiz, ele com seus 11 anos me deu uma camisa da Black shep que ele tinha ganhado, me orgulho muito em falar que andei com ele pelas ruas e morros de Porto Alegre, grande honra merecedor de tudo e muito mais...
Luan é uma representação do que o skate street signifca, mano. Pra mim ele é muito maior do que qualquer campeonato, porque ele é o cara que melhor representa o que é o street skate: locomoção. Cresceu andando nas ruas quebradas do Brasil enquanto os gringos cresceram em ruas lisinhas na California. É outra história.

Apesar do pouco rendimento nos últimos campeonatos continua sendo referência pela história dele e daonde veio. Chegar nesse nível correndo em torneios internacionais pouquíssimos brasileiros conseguiram. Realmente um monstro no skate. Sem palavras!

That would honestly have to be Daewon bc of the creativity he has on real urban streets. But really the greatest "skilled" street skater ever is without question Nyjah. Luan is so good I don't even call hard-flips by their tech-name anymore. I just say Luan-flip. He pops and flips his board better than Nyjah he just doesn't have the same skills across all street "disciplines" ie rails, ledges, etc.

Those judges underscore Luan so much. He deserves 9's but not that low. Idk how they rank scoring super specifically, but if composure and style are on point, which Luan's style is textbook, then the score should reflect that.

The frontside flip over the prop at 200mph was the craziest trick I've ever seen in a contest.
If Luan does the same trick as someone else, he deserves more for it. Hands down it'll be popped higher, with more style, and executed perfectly.

@@angelmonroy9644 Okay, he does a hardflip and he gets a 10. Now someone else does a *switch* hardflip on the same thing. What are you gonna give him for the same trick but literally harder? Also a 10? What if he's 0.2 points behind? This person would lose the competition even though he objectively did a harder version of the trick, which would be breaking the scoring system, which arguably would be worse.

That SLS in New Jersey he won, man... he was on fucking fire that night and virtually unbeatable. It's crazy (counting just the finals), that out of two contest runs and 5 best trick attempts, he only missed ONE TRICK in the whole finals, and that was the first attempt for 360 flip noseslide bigspin. Not to mention he did few more tricks outside the runs just for fun.
