I love the LED SMD Sign. LED's are the way to go and can make things look so nice. I create some of these LED signs with a 3d printer, plexiglass, and programmable LED's I code
15:20 Ever sense I learned this from you I do it that way every time! The golden nuggets of knowledge that are sprinkled through a SMD video are invaluable.
I've watched these videos (series) enough times to know every word by heart. Today, I noticed something that I totally missed. Lol! The metal trimming moment. I saw the mod but missed the moment where you actually did the cutting. I'm having to do this with a set of Sony 6.5 ES components on an 06 Accord. The molex moment was NOICE too. Struggling with the tweeter placement (for me) as I like the whole stealth look of my tweets in the dash. This placement gets them out of the dash which changes the front stage in a positive way I'm sure. Video saved for ref. Thanks for sharing brother. Oh - Love the box too - that it works and keeps the spare in the car.
You usually have a fine selection of tools and equipment. But you didn't have your green tin snips for left turning cuts. However you managed very well for using the wrong tool. And you are the highest quality . Don't doubt your work . You don't settle for less than the best. Keeps my interest where most don't
I could see Steve’s invoice to J-Bird already, Amps: $2.00 for both Subs: $2.50 for both with box Battery: $0.75 Wires: $0.05 per foot Etc........ Labor: Love
Steve is the kind of friend ya want to borrow/help with $. He's a good guy and as far as his business, he stands behind his products and puts out great products. I've been really happy with everything I've had that was a SMD product and stuff he endorsed. (Of course until some pieces of shit thieves broke into my garage/car and stole everything. My entire set-up and all my install tools.) I would seriously recommend SMD products to absolutely anyone.
18:45 Phil Collins - one more night the basic thing that we all need to know to install sound system... the master himself showed us how he did it.. big respect to the master... SMD !!
I've had the simplest of questions when it comes to using both terminal spots on the xs power batteries. Thanks for answering that question for me in this video. I have learned so much from these vids and ive put that to use. Thanks for the entertainment and all the knowledge. Happy new year.
We need more ppl like u around, showz u really kno wut u are doin man, i paid about 6 grand for a dd system and focal highz, only lazted about a month until shit started breaking dwn
Nice work! Also, I like the 2pac, E40, & Spice 1 in the background. I guess that stood out b/c I’m still stuck in that era of that style rap/hip hop, lowriders, etc.
Watching the front door speaker install, to make it easier to cut round holes in sheet metal, use either red( right cut) or green( left cut) handle sheet metal sheers. Great channel, thanks.
i don't need help. It wasn't hard. Except for one side that was double walled. I have been working with sheet metal for 30 years, i got this. But thanks anyway just in case.

I think I've seen built in laptop speakers with more guts than those stock Honda ones. Did a real good job on the speaker rings, great work as usual guys.
Now this is interesting, a budget build! Something that I can actually try at home hahah.. its too bad that in europe this stuff is relatively more expensive and less abundant (car audio equipment in general, there's no way that setup would cost 140€ here)
@@meade916 Well that makes more sense hahahaha still, it was really interesting to see the doors part, as its very similar to my car, sadly in mine the speakers are fixed to the plastic part (interior part) of the door panel so it rattles itself appart with the smallest bit of bass, even tho i covered the whole panel with deadener.. but hopefully i'll get another car soon XD
@@JosephNnbs do what you gotta do with what you have at hand...nothing wrong with that. Ive been doing it for 35 years. Only had cnc's and lasers for the last 4.
I hope he painted the exposed metal edge after cutting off that thin strip. Lots of moisture will get in the door from rain and washes, and the raw metal will rust quickly if not covered. Worst part, no one will see it and it will fester and spread and eat the door from the inside.
love this build series man!! im getting ready to start my first active system build in a 2014 ram sport. Ive got the cad skills to make rings and boxes just need to get some cnc machines or something. Been watching since the Eye ball poppin out days. Keep killin it! Build posts on the forums soon
I love a great sounding car stereo n sub setup on the cheap , but what i love equally is the guy that makes sure Nothing on his car 'Rattles' like a license plate, panels, etc etc ...
@@meade916 I am out of xt60 connectors right now i have some Dean's ultra connectors might make a short video it probably wont be a great video because i have never made one before. Would prefer your magnetic quick disconnect those look awesome.

That's what's up hooking up the brandito on some valuable knowledge. U a good man Senor Meade.
This so similar to my Acura Tsx install. Its good to see how a master does it. I woul’ve killed for those rings for the 6 1/2s.

Beautiful, amazing how times have changed, we had to make those out of mdf by hand back in the day or cut the original speaker up into a mount
Craven Moorhead that’s what I did. Gutted the stock speaker using the ring and part of the basket

What's the car audio scene like in El Salvador?
Sounds good I love the magnets idea is cool but I’ll would put another set of 6 1/2s in the back deck other then that I love all the extra options 👍
