Great video, good job showing how to connect /disconnect these plugs and also, this is the only video I've found so far that explains the difference between grey and red Anderson plugs, thank you.
Nice run-down on your process and the options - I would have like to see the crimping process itself and a clear shot of the crimped lug (maybe you're keeping that for the onlyfans!) 😅
Thanks mate. You're right I did miss that shot completely 🤦♂️ With these hydraulic crimpers all you need to do is lock off the wheel, pump the handle and keep the crimp straight in the die and use the right size. If my cable is too small I often bend it over to fill as much of the die as possible, or crimp the die at say 10mm first, then drop it to 8mm for example and crimp again.
Hello Great Video. Just a question in regard to the piggyback anderson plug. Say for instance I had one of these connected to a n anderson plug lead on the van that presumeably come from the battery. . Can I plug in 2 Portable Solar Panels/Blankets One is a 280W 20.5 Volts (Panel) and the Other is a 200W 18 volts Blanket, both with MPPT. Or am I better putting MPPT closer to the battery. and connect to each individual battery. I was told that I cannot connect the panels in parallel because of the different type and voltage of the batteries tks
Double check your sizing, you might need to go the next dye down. Automotive sizes are often not quite a match for metric lugs so for example it will be 31mm instaed of 35mm².

Good description. Thanks. Annoyingly, most camping solar panels come with grey Anderson plugs fitted.
You can use grey Anderson plugs, they're offering the same functionality really.

quer dizer que toda manifestação será relacionada a quebradeira?...
I am not liking crimping... I have a hydraulic crimper, but after the crimp, the wire keeps on falling out with a slight tug :/

PQP, dá NOJO!!!
I wanted to see one thing, you crimping it lol.
My bad!
Sometimes you forget to film stuff, or forget to press record 🤦♂️
