Just needed to drop you a line and say THANK YOU for posting this easy to understand, clearly explained, well-lit and videoed, EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL video. You just saved us a couple hundred dollars. You're awesome!
I just replaced the bake igniter, thanks to this video! I'm so proud of myself--and so appreciative of your providing this clear, easy to follow video. It took less than half an hour--and that includes the time it took to watch the video a few times.
Thank you!! All the kits I saw online came without the white clip at the end of the wires. Couldn't figure out how that was going to work. But splicing them on with wire nuts. Makes total sense.
You saved me BIG TIME!. The oven wouldn't heat and because of the Corona pandemic, I didnt want anyone coming to the house to repair it. I found your detailed UA-cam video with your helpful tips ( removing door an water around screws). Ordered igniter from Amazon and once received, took less then 30min to install! A God sent for me and a pain for my wife because now we dont have an excuse not to cook lolol. Many many thanks 👍👍
I rarely comment on videos but this one is not only extremely useful but the thorough from beginning to end with well thought camera angles. Thanks, you saved me $$$.
The oven I was using was not working for months. At first I initially thought it was just the light that needed to be replaced and that's what was preventing it from starting. However upon replacing the light I found that the igniter on the bottom also didn't work. This video was definitely life saving literally because my microwave had also stopped working and it helped me fix this issue. Make sure to turn off the gas and unplug the stove before doing this repair! (something that wasn't mentioned in the video)
I really did learn from your video. Thank You for making it so easy to do. I did have trouble getting to the two screws in the back of the stove where the gas pipe connects to the pipe line. But with Perseverance and patience I was able to get the screws into the back of the stove.
How did you reach yours? My setup is also a little different from his where a pipe runs right across one of those 2 screws giving only about an inch of working room...
Thank you for the video. Just finished on an older model of this oven, but your video made the entire process doable for someone who’s never done this repair before!
So good to see this done by someone who does this sort of thing for a living. Very well made video. I may have to get my wife to help me get back up again but it will be well worth it!
Excellent repair video! Just enough detail and great closeups. I ordered the new "Ignitor" from "Appliance Parts Pros" and it arrived in just a few days. Perfect part ... easy change out. Thanks
Great Video! It saved Christmas for us this year. I swapped out the broiler igniter for the bad oven one and BAM! Thanks for the video!!! I will be ordering new igniters on Monday.
Love these videos! I'm sure I sued this one a while back for my broiler igniter, and years later it is the bake igniter. It's really surprising how easy it is to make these kinds of repairs. Also, key feature is that I could get the part and the video from the same people. Price for the part happened to also be really good at the time.
I just wanted to thank you for this excellent video. It, combined with another video, gave me the clear-cut instructions to tackle this myself. Quality, thorough, instructions, and excellent stable camera work / edits.
My setup is also a little different from his.Where the two screws hold the bracket holding the ignitor, in my range a pipe runs right across one of those 2 screws giving only about an inch of working room...i cant reach it with a flathead nut driver and not even a 1/4 ratchet and socket. Any ideas?
Question. I'm in a pinch. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. My oven went out today, I don't have time to get a new igniter. Can I take the broiler igniter and put it in the oven side? And the burnt out into the broiler until I can get it replaced after Thanksgiving?
I thought the oven igniter was my problem. Not coming on at all but broiler works fine. I ordered an igniter from you guys but my GE JGRP20SEN1SS wall oven still won't lite. Could you possibly give me a tip on what I could troubleshoot next. I guess it could possibly be the digital circuit.
Did you ever figure this out? My next step would be to make sure there's 120Vac present at the igniter terminals. If not, could be something with the circuit board. If present, then it's a bad igniter.
Does it matter which wire goes to which connector? I replaced them in the same position as the wires coming out of the back of the new igniter but with a replacement part that had no inatructions with it, it was sorta scary.

After struggling for two day, I watched you video and had the repair done in an hour. Thanks! You know your stuff!

Just replaced mine and it was just as easy as you showed! Thank you so much for making this video.

Super easy. Thanks!!!!
You are very welcome!
How can I get in back of the wall to open the electric box with wall oven ? Thank you
Does it matter which wire goes to which contact?

This is spot on.
Thank you!
You are welcome!
Do you need to shut the gas off first? Or can this be done with it still on?
Both wires on my new igniter are both white .and both wires to the oven are white how do I know which wire goes to which wire or does it matter
Thanks man!
You're welcome!
Great detailed video thanks

No. 120V AC does not observe polarity like DC.
Thank you.
You are welcome.
my connector plastic broke, is there a replacement part for it?
Broiler igniter replacement starts about 10:21 (but watch how to remove the door & unplug before repairing).
I live in a foreign country… I cannot get ceramic wire nuts… Anyone have a suggestion on a replacement?
Nice. Helped alot3
You should have left your wires longer....
Ukrainian?
