Six's betrayal is sort of justified. Six is a creature of vengeance. She was captured by the bullies, so she kills a bully. The doctor nearly killed her, so when you burn him, she warms herself up.
Six was happy in the Hunter's cabin, she was happy just to be with her music box. Until you broke the door and took her away from it, then after that you brought her to the outside world where everything wants to kill the both of you.
But over the course of your adventure, six forms a friendship with mono. She catches you when you fall and when mono releases the thin man, six doesn't run away, instead she tries to help you to get up. She only runs when you finally stood up.
And when you hid, six was seen. She tries to reach out for you, she wants you to catch him the same way she catches you. And what do you do instead, you hide and you do nothing and six is taken away.
And then, monster six. Despite being a monster, she was happy. She has her music box again. Shes back in her safe space. That is until, you guessed it, you broke down the door again. And despite you leaving six to be captured, six isn't angry at you. Instead, she offers you her music box, showing that she does see mono as her friend despite the fact you did nothing when she was captured.
And what do you do, you destroy the music box. You destroyed six's offer of her friendship. But most importantly, you destroy her music box. You destroy six's safe place. Our nightmare might be when six drops us. But six's nightmare was when you broke down her door and took her away from her safe space.
Six is mono's little nightmare. But mono is six's little nightmare.

She didn’t have any pain with the music box though. She wasn’t suffering for once in her life and Mono tried to destroy her peace
It brought her peace. Having something you hold dearly and then having said object destroyed, it really changes you

I always thought Six was agressive towards Mono in her monster form because of the Signal Tower.
But after playing the game and seeing things for myself, I realised Six wanted to show Mono her music box and she was never agressive until he destroyed it. She just wanted to protect the one thing that made her feel safe.
But if he didn't destroy it then she would be stuck,

Am I the only one, but why it feels like when Six was monster, her scream felt like she was in pain.

Three theories, one Six recognized Mono's face from the Thin Man's.
Two, her hunger pains were coming in and she couldn't bear to eat him.
Three, Dark Six took control and didn't want their bond to get in the way.
I'm hoping that there is a DLC to give us more of a 'happy ending' in this.

Remember in the dlc secrets of the maw in LN1, at the end credits it pans out of a tv to show a tv and inside a silhouette of Thinman. A possibility would be six knew the maw would be the best bet to hide away from mono since it seems like most of the TV's there doesn't have a good transmission to the tower. Or at least have the properties of the TV's at the tower.
Alternately; she was genuinely mad at him because she didn't understand that he was helping her when he destroyed the music box, and cast him away out of spite.
@Something Diabolical Since mono is thin man he did exactly what six done to him. Remember when they grow inside the tower they get extremely warped and always have a purple light up top. This purple light was also shown above thin man when mono opened the door. Once thin man was able to capture six he also trapped six and made her grow and warp into a monster. It's a repeated cycle of Thinman/mono and six hating each other for putting themselves in the tower. Mono/thinman trapped six because she didn't save him and solidifying his transformation to thinman. Six is mad at mono/Thinman for trapping her and breaking her music box.

Six was showing signs of evil since the hospital, she was breaking mannequin fingers while waiting for Mono and sat by the furnace while the Boss burned inside
I hate six but nah you can't blame her for that since obv she was bored and the fingers themselves never show any sign of sapience, the furnace is optional and she was just looking for warmth.
Alot of people say six may become the Lady. I kinda believe it because if you listen to her cries, after you hit the music box, when you scream and it hurts her, she sounds kinda like the lady.
Because the voice actor are same but the devs said they are not the same.

Well, I kinda expected Six to be evil because in the ending of the first little nightmares at the Maw, Six drains The Ladys' energy so the power she drained must've had evil in it
This is a prequel, in the secret ending when six exits the TV her “shadow” self glances at a card with an image of the maw on, the LN1 takes place.

@@medicgaming101 those aren't mutually exclusive however. both can be prequels, the tricky part comes when deciding which one comes first. if little nightmares 2 was a sequel, then that would raise a few questions. like, why did six get their coat halfway through the game? an explanation could be that the sixes in very little nightmares aren't six at all, or vice versa.

I feel like this game was loosely based on the philosophical idea that no one really exists, you are every person you ever came into contact with, and each time you die you reincarnate as the next. Each time you’re reincarnated a different lesson is learned, a different perspective is gained by a new perception.
The worst thing that’s ever happened to you is but a minor inconvenience to another. Your goldfish dying is the quintessential of pain, yet your next door neighbor’s child has just died. You have no children, you know nothing of that kind of grief. Your next door neighbor suffers in silence, coincidentally, she is also a raging bitch. And so, you perceive her actions as such.
Your goldfish has just died and this how she treats you?
You work at a corporate office; you lash out on the new ditzy intern. The ‘ditzy’ intern has actually just survived a car crash, and now suffers from mild brain damage, thus perpetuating the vicious cycle.

Mono IS hat man. He thinks he is fighting for Six’s life not realizing the entirety of the battle was really his own. A battle for his own soul.
Six remembers Mono betrayed her first when (hat man) comes after them and Mono stays hidden under the bed: Ultimately, this is Mono sacrificing Six for his safety.
Later, Six, makes the correlation between Mono’s unnatural power and Hat Man’s. Are they one in the same? This is the internal conflict Six weighs as she holds Mono from the ledge.
When Mono first found Six, she had already been captured, presumably mistreated, and neglected.
You can tell by how she runs from Mono, he must gain her trust first.
I find this part of the game was added purposely for Six’s character development.
Naturally, this survivor trauma would make her think intellectually, not emotionally. Mono has already let her down once, whilst Hat Man was chasing her, a colossal betrayal, life threatening. She already gave Mono one chance, and Mono has shown her that when it comes down to it, it’s every man for himself. Six is a survivor, she doesn’t take the risk, she drops him off the edge.
Mono is just a kid. You watch him turn into a teenager, and then a young adult. Betrayed and Isolated for so long, He turns into Hat Man, a monster. We
See him as the vigilante, because we played him as the little boy. And That right there is the message.
No one else sees the pain that turned him into a monster. But that was the battle for his own soul. It wasn’t about Six.
The paradox is played out in the 1st little nightmares. It’s meant the be the next chapter. That’s why Six already has the raincoat. She becomes a bit more insane, eating raw meat, whole rats. More apathetic, eventually eating a nome, a whole living creature, each time she escapes another monster; eventually becoming one too. the lady
I don’t myself believe in reincarnation, but philosophically it can be a beautiful message when you leave it as such.
Will you let your battles turn you into a monster? Or will you let the painful experiences breed kindness ? forgiveness? understanding? art? Are you apart of the sickness of the cure? Hurt people hurt people.
Don’t worry Mono, after you defeat the Balrog down under you’ll return as a white wizard.

STOP REPLYING MY INBOX IS GONNA BREAK There was a secret ending that six came out of the tv she was hungry. six knows mono is a good person/friend, so six let him fall because she doesnt wanna eat mono. and shes hungry because of her evil inside. from eating the lady. remember? shadow six.
But letting him fall has killed mono and made his soul turns into the thin man (because thin man is mono of the future since thin man can move through the past and future because he is a paradox time of mono)so at lore level what is the point to do this instead to kill him going to eat him?. So yeah, you are wrong, the truth is that six is evil(for this reason she is the final boss in little nightmare 2 and she has dark six ) and is the true antagonist of all game series.

Anyway, it was better for him to get killed in this way and become thin man instead to get eaten?i don't think so because in both cases mono gets killed and tbh the first case is worse than the second one because mono not just gets killed but his soul got stuck forever into the tv in this way become kinda a monster which is the thin man and is condemned to forever walk through time and tv without rest, and so, at lore level what is the point for six to do it?.
actually Six absorbed Mono's powers and let him die in there. I mean, only Mono could get out of there because Six doesn't have those powers, so she absorbed them to save herself and nobody else. The game is a precuel, the true ending shows it

All six had to do to prevent mono from becoming the thin man was save him. They could have made it out together and been good. I can understand why she did it, you can see her hesitation before she finally lets go. I have a feeling theres going to be a battle in the third one where they fight in there boss forms.

Unfortunately, the lead developer at Tarsier Studios confirmed the studio will no longer create Little Nightmares games. A third game is still a low probability with Bandai Namco alone, but it wouldn't be the same.

Her hunger problems only began in the first game (Little Nightmares). This is the prequel of the first game therefore Six didn't have those issues yet as you can see throughout the game.

This doesn't explain anything. If this took place before the first game, how did Six know Mono was going to become Thin Man? That would have to indicate that Six had powers before all that absorbing stuff she did, or is she just a monster?
I doubt she knew anything about mono being the thin man. She just didn't have a use for him anymore. She's not friendly she's a hardcore Social Darwinist survivor who discards what doesn't have a use and who keeps stuff like that close to her chest

Reason why Six Betrayed Mono: Have you played the LN1 amd sae her and the Gnomes and The Final Boss? Anyways....you see Six have an hunger issue's which she starts to starve hard her dark side is coming up. Which when Six holding and trying to save which she starts to starve..Except of eating Mono up instead she fall him back.

She is. At this point in the game she was taken by the games main antagonist to the signal tower and once Mono (the protagonist/Antagonist of this game) beats the Thin Man he goes to the signal tower where presumably the thin man did something to six that turned her into a monster (it's also why when Mono calls out the big Six responds by attacking whatever is there)
