I was at a graded competition and I was in the slowest heat with half the contestants in the race being over 35 years old. I had the slowest reaction time of 0.20s with everyone else in the race being sub 0.2s. Even for older sprinters they usually go under 0.2. 0.269 is insanely slow
How was the wind? Does the altitude of the track matter? Is reaction time apart of the game? eh, who knows. Regardless, pretty cool to see that he would have done it if he had fast enough reaction.
Reaction time is part of the sport, you need a good reaction time to do well. Bolt had both so he deserved the world record; Yohan had 50% of the sport down but not 100% and so he didn't get the world record. It's tough but it's part of the sport.
