This video saved us having to purchase a completely new dishwasher. Thank you for posting such clear instructions for all of us F/P dishdrawer owners!!!!
Thank you so much for this video. Thanks to you, I was able to repair our DD24 F&P dishwasher. It was indeed the pump valve that was defective. But this was not as easy as you made it look. Although I had a towel under the line, when I unscrewed the main, there was so much water that came out, so much that I doubted myself if I even shut the main water to the house. I kept switching towel after towel. The Print Circuit Board, supplying the power to the controllers, got completely flooded. After finishing my work, I tried drying up the PCB as much as possible with all sorts of methods. It was not enough, once I switch the power on from the breaker, there was nothing. The unit was not powering up. I decided to user a hair dryer aimed at the bottom of the chassis. That helped, the power went on. But there were lots of errors, top drawer was giving an F9 error (electronic error), bottom drawer was causing top drawer to turn on and off for some reason and would not complete the Fast Check function test, the top drawer cycle selector menu was super sensitive and erratic. I thought I had burned the circuit or the controller. Finally, I simply left the dishwasher untouched for another 48 hours and when I switched the breaker back on, everything works fine. The FC function test works 100% and no errors with the water fill. Thank you once again, I could not have had the courage to fix this by myself if it wasn't for your video.

This is very helpful video. However: Let's add a few things: 0. Before you remove the lower drawer, TURN OFF YOUR BREAKER. No power to the dish washer. Yeah, he did not mention it, and the last thing before opening the drawer is the drawer being turned "off" with a switch. 1. Turn off water to the unit (I know he said that). Note: for most people, this means turning off the main water supply. 2. Drain the water as much as possible. a. Run all your sinks open when the water main is off. b. Run the FU diagnostic program until it trickles. There is no pump to burn out, this is water pressure driven. Run it empty. 3. When you disconnect the old water valve, have the new water valve ready to replace the old on immediately. Even though, you've drained everything, there will be a lot of water left to drain. It will not be high pressure, but there will be a lot of it. Get the new valve in place ASAP, and you will not drip much water into the electronics sitting just below the water feed line. 4. You are going to drip water into the electronics. It is going to happen. The work space is too tight for you to manage everything properly. - Have some DampRid, or some other desiccant, ready to clean it up. - A box fan and a shop vacuum (wet vac) are also mandatory (I think). 5. Clean up the water: - Suck and mop all of the water you can out of the spill area. Use desiccant packets to soak up all water. - I made packets out of my cans of DampRid by wrapping it into pater towels ad taping them. - Do not put desiccant directly on the electronics. This stuff will absorb moisture into it and, if there is a lot of moisture, will create its own goopy mess. Pack the packets onto and around the electronics, but do not obstruct the airflow of the fan. - I sprinkled a lot of the stuff all over the bottom of the drawer slot, where they can be vacuumed up after. This will help dry the air flow, and accelerate the evaporation process. - Place a box fan in front of the drawer to get air moving into he closed space. Most of the water was contained within the drawer space, but some leaked out onto the floor. A lot of the water dripped into the electronics. I do not expect this to be a problem, if you immediately dry it up. Removing the electronics looks very difficult. I have time to kill, while this thing dries out. I will update this comment once I complete the task.
That is awesome. Top drawer wouldn't work for me anymore, the bottom did but I never use it... so I swapped the valves until my replacement valve gets here. This saves me a ton of money and time. Thank you!

Great vids. My double drawer Fisher payKel dishwasher has been giving me a U6 code on the top drawer. I removed and cleaned the rotor, filter and impeller but still getting a U6 code even though the rotor spins fine and looks perfect. I even switched the rotor from the bottom drawer to the top to see if that would work, but still get the U6 code. I believe U6 Isn’t always displaced rotor, it can mean insufficient water pressure I hear? Any thoughts of what it may be since either roter doesnt work on top drawer? Thanks!

Fisher Paykel model DD24SAX9 N single draw dish washer error code A6. Remedy was to replace the single water inlet valve part number 529827 24volt $18.00 Turn the breaker and water flow to the dishwasher off. Push the clips on the bottom sides of the draw and then push the rails/slides all the way in while pulling the draw out, be care to not bend the water lines and power cord. You have just enough room to lean the draw up and out of the way. Then take a small flat head screw driver and remove the plastic cover that’s covering the electronics etc. Pull the old inlet valve out of its holding spot (just gravity holding it there) and then detach the tiny 24v 2 wire electric cord connector from the water inlet valve, next put a thick towel under the water inlet valve that you’re replacing to catch residual water and unscrew the water input, next remove the blew hose clip (I used 2 tiny flat head screw drivers to separate the teeth) and then use a small flat head screw driver and work the hose off of the water valve and then pull the hose all the way off. Keep the old valve in case this isn’t what’s wrong with your unit. Put the new unit in reversing the steps said above. Test the dish washer for 5 minutes running water etc through the unit then turn the unit off and then after letting the water drip from the top of the dishwasher into the draw for 30 minutes, open the dish washer and shine a flash light under the draw and check for any leaks.

Hi. I was just watching your video. It was very informative. We have a problem with our double drawer dishwasher in that the top drawer thinks its open all the time and will not begin a cycle. There are no error codes. Is there some "drawer open indicator" part that can malfunction? When we go to start it, it just makes a little noise to indicate that the drawer is still open when in actual fact it's shut.

Joseantonio Valverde we pulled it apart expecting to find the control board loose, therefore not seeing the door closed signal. The control board was ok though. On the body of the dishwasher to the right just behind the seal you will see a clear looking insert. Make sure it’s sitting snug back in the housing.. ours was not, pushed it back and now it’s working ok. !

In my case the three quick beeps with no error codes on lower drawer was resolved by changing the electronic control module under the front panel of the lower drawer. Once changed the lower drawer immediately began working normally again. Hope this info helps someone else with same issue...

Fisher Paykel model DD24SAX9 N single draw dish washer error code A6. Remedy was to replace the single water inlet valve part number 529827 24volt $18.00
Turn the breaker and water flow to the dishwasher off.

Okay, here's my issue right now, the valve was taken out before the new one arrived. How can you tell which hose goes where when putting in the new valve ? since the old one was already removed I have nothing to go by.
