Yeah, I'm so glad Kurt Travis is getting some play time. All of their singers have brought their own vibe, the band does well at emphasizing their strengths!
If you're doing the rest of this album just keep going in order a lot of songs play into each other. Also, you HAVE to do it pt.1 & 2 of hot water on wool together. Imo.
Just remember, hot water on wool has 2 parts and you should really listen to them together. If you can find a video on youtube that puts them together, please use that one
Once you reach their album “happiness” you’re mind will be blown. Kurt Travis is their best singer in my opinion and songs on that album like carl barker, tree village and strawberry swisher 2 really demonstrate that.
If you get to the rest of the album, I'd recommend listening to "the robot with human hair" pts 1 and 2 from their first ep, because there is a pt 3 in the death star album
Thanks for starting Deathstar! Glad you checked out this song, first DGD song i ever heard and still one of my all time faves. I agree with the others, best to listen parts 1 & 2 of hot water on wool together you decide to check out the whole album. The flow to the whole album is incredible but those two songs especially.
Dude thanks for the reaction! This is a great album with a great underappreciated vocalist. I agree with others here saying to just go through the album in order as albums are always put together in a specific way for a good flow. The next song on this album is Buffalo! Also theres a song on this album called the Robot with Human Hair pt.3 the first 2 parts you'll find on their very first ep titled Whatever I Say is Royal Ocean dating back to 06'. When you get to Hot Water on Wool on this album make sure you listen that and the reprise together as they split it into 2 separate tracks that flow together. Sorry for the long posts and keep the DGD coming!
@@TheJake2l oh you checked them out? lol nice and same Circa Survive vibes. Sianvar broke up last year tho. Have you heard Hail The Sun? Same singer, Donovan, but he's also the drummer in HTS.
Ok so youre getting into thr 2nd singer you really havent been paying attention too. You listeb to johnny and tillian this is kurt travis ready to blow your mind
You sir are right! Jon had medical issue i read it was lyme disease. But i never confirmed from jon himself. Will does all the unclean on that album only
The uncleans on this album are jon mess but left the band shortly after the release, will swan the guitarist recorded the uncleans for their next album happiness.

Yeah I think most people would disagree with that.

Dude I'm so hyped for every song on this album
I lost it too when I first heard that "got what you paid for" part.
That last part is beautiful!
Funny how I decided to come back to this after the TCS reaction of this song and the Breaking Benjamin reference is still there. What a ride.
Dgd is like an expensive bottle of scotch!

Listen to the band Hail the Sun if you’re into Dance Gavin Dance
I’m so excited for when you hit Caviar... you’ll be in for a treat!
Caviar is a beautiful song best in the album . I'm curious what he thinks of rock solid lol
React to All in Question by Royal Coda! Kurt Travis is their lead singer and DGDs lead guitarist plays guitar in that band as well, they’re fantastic
React to "vultures and sharks" by oceans ate alaska please
yeah man all THREE are badass: Johnny, Kurt and Tilian. Listen to Royal Coda. Kurt is the singer and theyre on Will Swan's label.
Will swan was also in that band which is awesome

If im not mistaken, the unclean is their guitarist Will Swan in this album and the happiness album.
You sir are right! Jon had medical issue i read it was lyme disease. But i never confirmed from jon himself. Will does all the unclean on that album only
The recording of Deathstar is Jon Mess
Jon Mess was only not on Happiness.
Jon Mess still recorded this album with the band. Then left due to medical issues before the album dropped.
The uncleans on this album are jon mess but left the band shortly after the release, will swan the guitarist recorded the uncleans for their next album happiness.
