Hi. Do you know what about the rest of connectors on the radio? What they should have connected?
Awesome video, very helpful. Do the steering wheel controls (volume up/down, next/previous track) still work after you installed this aftermarket stereo?

Unfortunately Choochoo, I did not have steering wheel controls to worry about on my application. But if for some reason they do not work, all you have to do is add an eternal module to interpret signal to keep them (ASCW-1)
I have a big question my friend.
Con ese nuevo stereo los controles del volante también funcionan? Que colores de cables son los que se conectan al volante?? O no funcionarán los botones en el volante?

What are the functions of the inside wires in ac connector ?? Mine only has the outside wires on left and right and is missing whatever was plugged in the middle
couldn't tell you right off the top of my head Marcus...but if you go to this site ( Nicoclub.com ), they will have the FREE service manual that will tell you the specifics on what those wires are for. Great question though, and thanks for leaving a comment!!!! Let me know if it works out for ya:-)
How have you like your stereo so far? I saw the review it was 3 stars. What do you like and what you don’t? I am planning to get one soon.
Hey Preah...I would give it a 3 1/2. I say this because I wish it was bigger (screen), and came with everything I needed to install without needing anything extra (wiring harness, dash kit, antenna). But as far as the unit itself and the features...for the money, I think it is definitely well worth it! Do shop around (just to make sure) this is still a good buy, because companies offer more and more as time goes on, which can make this unit not so desirable in the future. Again, not because I don't think this unit is a good buy, but just to make sure:-)
Did the radio controls at the steering wheel still work after this install??????
Didn't have any steering wheel controls on mine, so unfortunately can't answer that...sorry:-)

I was told your not supposed to tape the wires together
As long as they are sufficiently double protected with a layer of some type of covering around single wires, then all together, it is perfectly fine...it's just to make sure nothing touches together and shorts out. But, always consult with a qualified professional if in doubt and follow what they say:-)

I have 2 more clusters of wires on the back off the radio you only removed one
It's ridicum, did you ever figure out what those were.. I don't remember cuz it's been a little while since I've done this, so I can't say for sure what they were supposed to be, especially since I don't have that vehicle right now anymore. I very interested to see if you figured that one out:-)
Según lo que yo se, tu tienes un stereo boss, y se usan 4 conectores en el stereo y el stereo de este video no es boss solo usa el conector derecho de la antena y el conector izquierdo de las bocinas y voltajes, aunque el stereo si tiene los conectores en el centro, no hay conector para ellos . yo también quiero saber que hacen esos conectores del stereo que no se usan.

One of the worst harness jobs ive ever seen. Dont twist together and e tape it up.. crimp caps, butt connections, or best of all would be solider and hear shrink.
Sorry, I wasn't very clear on when I said that I wasn't going to show you how to assemble the harness, I meant also that I wasn't going to show you the process I take which is 2 solder and rap together. I guess that didn't come off very clear, but as long as you do some type of connector, electrical tape is just as acceptable as shrink wrap IMO. Thank you for pointing out that! you do not want to just mate them together, then proceeded, if longevity of radio effectiveness is your goal😅

@hurstysgarage not trying to be offensive just my 2 cents but wires twisted and e tape wrapped around is no way shape or form even close to a proper connection and or close to heat shrink as you say. Wire nuts would even be better then that (which shouldn't use for automotive) What happens is over time heat will mess with the underside of tape causing it to peel off and wires come loose or undone. Proper way would be butt connector/heat shrink and or solder/heat shrink. I'm a 22 year electrician so I almost passed out when I saw that, but just my humble opinion... ✌️ have a good one
