I feel so bad for that older lady in the second video clip. She’s genuinely confused and worried, and she was being blamed at first. Even the witnesses claimed to witness what they didn’t see well enough. Makes me wonder if they only sided with him due to his level of confidence due to her level of panic/worry. Can’t assume. Don’t say you’ve witnessed it if you haven’t. I’m so grateful they had cameras with proof.
Reminds me of the witnesses in My Cousin Vinny, its awful for our judicial system since if there was no cameras shes the one in trouble because of those witnesses.
You see "Better Call Saul"? Pilot episode of the series is loosely similar to this. Pair of skater punks tried to claim an elderly woman hit them with her car, and then shake her down for money threatening lawsuits. The elderly woman was the aunt of a drug-dealing psychopath named Tuco who kidnapped them, dragged them to the dessert to execute them. Jimmy McGill (aka. Saul Goodman) was going to be the scammer's lawyers, but instead convinced Tuco to just break his client's legs instead of killing them.
Those supermarket "witnesses" spouting the obvious "pedestrian has the right of way" did more harm than good. The cameras and the cop's willingness to investigate, saved the day!
It's possible those 'witnesses' are actually working with the guy. They do that so they put pressure on the victim into giving them money or accepting blame, or to jump in a fight if one starts. These scammers are rarely working alone.
11:22 aw that poor lady. The cop tells her she's not at fault and instead of being relieved, she asks why she isn't at fault, all because what happened and how the man reacted she thought she had done something wrong, she likely didn't even give herself time to process what happened and if she indeed did something wrong. I'm so glad that she didn't get taken advantage of. A lot of more confident people could have handled it, but this affected her so much that even now after all this time and the cops reassuring her that she didn't do anything wrong, it would not surprise me if she still thinks she did something wrong. Someone give that lady a hug.
Yeah but I'm not sure I like the idea of someone so mentally weak and 'muddled up' being in control of a vehicle, having quite literally (by her own admission) NO F* IDEA WHAT JUST HAPPENED ... to me that's not a good sign of someone to be trusted to operate a literal 2 tonne killing machine on the streets.
The eyes thing CAN be a tell, but I wouldn't use it exclusively. Most people when having a convo will break eye contact periodically. Imagine intense prolonged eye contact with everyone you interacted with, that would be weird af.

You've got that right! These "analyses" of body language have been debunked over and over again, but "know-it-alls" still cling to them like gospel, even professionally. I remember old Judge Judy episodes where she would use the looking left, or blushing as clear signs of deceit.
A long time ago I decided to try and boost my self confidence, and part of that was maintaining eye contact during conversations. Sometimes I'll get a feeling I'm boring into the person's head and giving unwanted eye contact and making them uncomfortable, and other times (women) get all flirty and no idea what the difference or thought process to either, but that's been my experience. So usually if I feel I'm making the other person feel challenged or intimidated I'll frequently break eye contact in an attempt to keep a reasonable comfort level based on how I feel the conversation is going
@Yourlocalbacterium they sided with him at first because the older lady, confused and scared ( as anyone would be) thought it was her fault and took the blame. However, once the cops saw what actually happened on the cameras, they realized he was being deceitful and then let the lady go. The lady was not punished at the end.
Wow, that cop in the first video chasing the handcuffed lady was really nice. You can see when he caught up to her, he pulled her and threw her on the grass instead of tackling her face first into the pavement

I've had something happen to me like the first lady. I was stopped waiting for traffic to exit an apartment complex driveway, when I barely moved and someone ran up and hit the side of my car and slammed his fists on my hood. I was so confused and scared, I really thought I hit someone. But then the man, while screaming and crying that I ran him over, said that if I paid him $200 he wouldn't sue me, I knew he was trying to scam me. I called the cops and they came down and after checking everyone's stories and seeing if he was injured, arrested him since he had warrants.
As someone who struggles socially I struggle to look at people in the eyes when talking to so some times it makes me wonder if cops or detectives thought I was lying if I ever get questioned but I also assume if my body language is normal they would notice

I had a similar thing happen to me just like the second lady in the video. I was slowly, almost stopping, turning a corner and waiting for an old lady to cross so I could resume my driving. As soon as I started moving again a speeding bike suddenly cut in front of me and I crashed into it. Good thing I was going super slow. Issue is, I talked to the guy that I bumped into and he started yelling at me, calling me dumb, reckless, etc. I told him it wasn’t my fault and that we could review the cameras and see how he sped in front of me and how he wasn’t using any security apparel like helmet, reflective clothes, etc. (it’s a law in my country to wear them if you’re a cyclist). He just sulked and left.
Damn! That first chick took off like Flo Jo! And the way she is going, she is going to end up like Flo Jo. And what was her mental process? "Ok, I'm in a whole heap of trouble, now how can I possibly make this worse? Ah, I know - I'll try to escape wearing handcuffs!" 🤣🤣
I was with my sister was having her baby, a security guard came into the room and asked me to step out of the room. I did and asked whats going on? The guard told me they caught a man who had stolen a womans purse and he told them I was with him. I had went out to smoke and he seen me. He even told them that I had a large bandage on my neck. I just had surgery two days prior. Thankfully the nurse and family vouched for me. People dont care who they hurt.
the whole "looking for the subtle signs that someone is lying" thing for the second one reminded me of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, where you have to do that sometimes to press a witness

9:30 The thing about the eyes and body language, just isnt real. He actually played it off very well, the normal thing to do in a conversation is to look away after a few seconds to not seem intense or starring, and the nodding is very common and normal since it just means you are interacting in the conversation and or agreeing with something
That poor lady on the second clip. She seemed so scared that she actually hurt that man and/or thought she was in big trouble. Luckily the camera caught the scene clearing her innocence. Bless her heart and I hope she’s doing well
funny how the cop completely claims to misunderstand when she said she hadn't been to target for a minute. He took that literally. A very good demonstration of why you NEVER talk to cops.
This was super satisfying! lovely... good to see cops doing a GOOD JOB for a change! I know all news is biased, we only hear about bad policing -- so it's refreshing to see the good stuff occasionally :)
My dad got scammed out of a $40,000 barn AND a $14,000 backhoe. One was overseas, the other was a scam artist that had scammed potentially millions of dollars from people doing the same thing. After over 2 years of waiting and working with prosecutors, we got the barn scammers' ass. It feels really good to know that these people get their comeuppance.
17:47 She gave 3 completely different rapid fire excuses here. She had even given a couple of different ones than these before that, but the expeditious nature of the changing excuses right after this time mark is something else!
I’m not sure about the sizing because I don’t like to just keep staring at peoples eyes when I’m talking it just makes me uncomfortable to just stare into someone’s eyes for a long period of time. So put that into your notebooks to because there are plenty of people like myself doesn’t mean we’re being deceitful just don’t like staring into other peoples eyes nonstop for long periods of time.
Yeah, body language is not an evidence based science and really varies depending on culture, neurodiversity, personal quirks, etc. There's so much variance to how every individual physically responds to things that it's impossible to put it down to an exact science. Like some western media will say that avoiding eye contact is a sign of deceit, but in lots of eastern cultures, eye contact is viewed as disrespectful. Or like in your case where it's just uncomfortable. I feel the same way. Anyone who claims to be a body language expert is full of shit.
I had to train myself to maintain eye contact while in conversations because a friend of mine called me out for refusing to look at anyone while I talked to them. Definitely agree that body language isn't always concrete evidence.
True, but the cops deal with the neurotypical a lot more often than they do the neurodivergant, so it makes sense to investigate more when they see something like that. Does no harm since there's no real hard evidence they can use to claim you're in the wrong if nothing turns up though.
I look away a lot while talking because I have bad ADHD-driven anxiety. I either hold eye contact and don’t break it to the point of the other person being uncomfortable, when I’m passionately talking about something, or I have situational anxiety and am nervous, regardless of if I’m at fault or not. It sucks.
Reading way too much into the eye contact and body language, just cringe. People who think they can read subtle bodylanguage are the worst people to talk to. Imagine just chilling and someone is convinced you have alterior motives.
ahh, I remember reviewing footage when I worked at Grocery Outlet 😂 I got hired as a dairy/deli stocker, but somehow was also the non official “loss prevention” ..plenty of times we chased fools down and probably illegally, got the stuff back, but I didn’t give a damn, it was funnier than stocking milk & eggs.
It's not just a lack of empathy that these scammers have but common sense. You'd think and even they should know not to do these crimes in the first place. Also, they should know when to give up when caught.
There was some lady that tried scamming me at a dollar general. There was literally a single spot left in the parking lot and the lady took up her parking space and a quarter of mine. I opened my door and never touched hers. She then claimed that the dent in her car was caused by my door. I feaked out for a second thinking I might have actually done it but then realized where the dent was. It was beneath her protruding door handle and 2 feet from where my door would have met hers. There was no possible way my door could have done that. At first she was confident and said she was going to call the police. I pointed out what I discovered and was in the process of taking pictures when the lady sped off. Stay calm people. I nearly fell for it. That lady was really good at what she does.
Dash cams are so worth it for insurance scammers and showing who’s at fault in accidents when no cameras around. Everyone should have em. Just watch any dash cam compilation video.
I worked for attorneys for 25 years. The shame of the guy crossing in front of the woman is that years ago there were no cameras and scammers like this got multiple settlements. I remember a case where an investigator saw a woman drop oil on the floor before dropping like she slipped and it was the store’s fault! Three scams make everyone’s insurance go up!

The only witness I saw was the lady with the vest. The way she was sitting with the man after makes me wonder if they’re in cahoots.
Most likely she didn’t see it that clearly and assumed the “victim” was being honest
Reminds me of the witnesses in My Cousin Vinny, its awful for our judicial system since if there was no cameras shes the one in trouble because of those witnesses.
Eye witness accounts are the worst, most unreliable form of evidence. But are given the highest level of credibility in a court of law.

I genuinely love the way officers handle the lady who accused of hitting that man. This is what a real investigation looks like.
Got my stiiizy got my drink I’m ready to watch dis vid
this how I be watching these too
@@StampsSBword gotta have some good eats too ‼️
That’s a mood brother 😂
She missed her calling!
She could've been the first woman to run 100 meters in less than 10 seconds!
Her answer was "I haven't been to Target in a minute " not "I've never stolen anything "
the whole "looking for the subtle signs that someone is lying" thing for the second one reminded me of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, where you have to do that sometimes to press a witness
The first one was the most harmless but of course it was the "most satisfying" to you I see why your channel has the growth jt doe. Also, looking into you thanks for that.
20:35 “Austin, this is the police! come out right now!”
“I’m not Austin, I’m”……. a nitwit? Not too bright? Justin The Slow-witted? Justin time for handcuffs? 😂
Last lady said, "I'm not right in the head" . . . finally some truth . . .
Bless her heart and I hope she’s doing well
6:35 honestly that lady lucky as fuck, he could have dropped her on the concrete but he pulled her over to the grass for a softer landing
Love the content! I watched every video on your channel in two days
Holy cow!
The trauma that lady suffered isn't worth $62
Lmao. Dannggg….o’ boy tried to hit abuelita with the skateboard skam from Better Call Saul 😂😂.
Tuco: “He called my abuelita a BIZ-NATCH!”
😂😂😂😂😂
" to be honest with you" The telltale sign of someone that's up to no good being up to no good
I just want to point out he made a conscious effort to drop the first lady in the grass instead of the concrete
funny how the cop completely claims to misunderstand when she said she hadn't been to target for a minute. He took that literally. A very good demonstration of why you NEVER talk to cops.
Or just don’t steal shit or break the law
@hoebiwan-kenobi6198 the logic is not dependent on whether or not you have broken the law you.
@@jussayinmipeece1069 very much is so bud
Bro if you get stopped by a cop and refuse to speak you will go to jail lmao
You judge a cop for taking something literally but you’re acting autistic
He was being sarcastic you goon
This was super satisfying! lovely... good to see cops doing a GOOD JOB for a change! I know all news is biased, we only hear about bad policing -- so it's refreshing to see the good stuff occasionally :)
Kaylee's grandmother is the hero in all of this. Good job Nana!!!!
Last one is hilarious. Did she think there weren’t enough cops to handle everything? Even if it delayed them, it wouldn’t be by much
I'm surprised the dispatcher connected the dots so quickly right to her. Great work by them as a team.
@@talyahr3302When a criminal makes a call they probably have a flag telling them about it.
She got arrested by the even bigger scammers lol
Im glad the scammers get put in there place. Me and my family got scammed out of $500. It was an awful experience
@@broodsauce2214 Yea we got scammed from a guy saying he needed money and tried to sell us his “real” gold chain for $500. It was fake

Yeah, I'm on the spectrum and "correct" eye contact is difficult for me, if not impossible.
great idea for a video. should do more with scammers
subscribed, i love your videos. thank you
i feel sorry for people who have trouble keeping eye contact and are completely innocent
If I was Justin I’d have surrendered immediately to get away from Kayli.
For the second guy, if someone immediately calls thier lawyer right after an accident, immediate suspicion
ahh, I remember reviewing footage when I worked at Grocery Outlet 😂 I got hired as a dairy/deli stocker, but somehow was also the non official “loss prevention” ..plenty of times we chased fools down and probably illegally, got the stuff back, but I didn’t give a damn, it was funnier than stocking milk & eggs.
Hey "Shemka", If you're gonna give the police a fake name make sure it's a name that you know how to spell‼️😭
Lmao. Imagine giving a fake name and not knowing how to spell it
“Why not” 😂😢 awww poor baby was so traumatized and confused
That first girl in the blue was ZOOMIN 😂😂😂
It's not just a lack of empathy that these scammers have but common sense. You'd think and even they should know not to do these crimes in the first place. Also, they should know when to give up when caught.
The insurance scam makes sense. a 60 dollar fine, and a 14K dollar payout.
Hopefully that insurance scammer won't get paid out in the future as a result of already being caught trying to scam someone once
My dad was a cop and one of the things we say to each other is “STOP RESISTING!”. I get that it might be insensitive but still.
Dash cams are so worth it for insurance scammers and showing who’s at fault in accidents when no cameras around. Everyone should have em. Just watch any dash cam compilation video.

3:24 the poor cashier dude looks so confused his facial expression has me dying
I worked for attorneys for 25 years. The shame of the guy crossing in front of the woman is that years ago there were no cameras and scammers like this got multiple settlements. I remember a case where an investigator saw a woman drop oil on the floor before dropping like she slipped and it was the store’s fault! Three scams make everyone’s insurance go up!
Her T-Shirt says it all. "That's all folks"!
And normally even if someone SCANS stuff, if they don't pay, the alarm at the entrance has to go off!
