No one is getting rid of it . Your leaders administration is signing border crossers SS from your retirment fund . There is $2 Trillion there but it will be gone soon at this rate . There are people in other countries who never stepped foot in US are getting SS . get your facts straight .

I want the people for the White House that listen to this.. I heard a lot of restaurants are closing a lot of big stores are closing see the people want to erase on their paycheck are you expect the company to give you a raise and they're closing early. That's why they're laying off a lot of people make no money closing early. If you change the time to stay open little longer like it used to be you could make more money we could keep our workers we could hire people if the store stays open longer stores won't go out of business. Then you can raise up taxes now you cannot raise taxes if there's no money coming in to pay taxes. The only one who could pay taxes or the people are rich. The people are not rich they don't have money they pay taxes we have to lay them off open the stores longer I guarantee you you could make more money like that you don't have to close these little program or helping people to survive. Try it for 1 year I guarantee you it'll work.

Generally speaking, " a contribution" is considered voluntary.
To the worker, it is not. It's a mandatory tax.
The difference is that THIS tax is more like a premium..... but that "tax" will be used towards paying benefits to specific people.

You are not alone To keep up with rising cost we are beginning to see the equity of our home for what it truly is, Its becoming hard for us seniors not to ask the obvious question: Should we cash in, invest the money, and rent/relocate?
Have you thought about keeping up with the whims of a Landlord? I am invested fully in the markets under a custodian who is a fiduciary to me and my beneficiaries. You should not sell your home with a good plan. This might only work if you are looking at investing under 5 years
Very true, people downplay planners role, until burnt by their mistakes. I remember just after my layoff early 2020 amidst covid outbreak, I needed to stay afloat, hence researched for license-fiduciary advsors. Thankfully, I came across someone of practical knowledge, and decades of experience, I liquidated 200k of 325k from my 401(k) it has yielded nearly 1 m after subsequent investments so far.

True, but so are those "contributions". To me, it's more like an insurance premium....that you MUST pay, before you can recieve the insurance payout.
