@@thejonathan130 responding to a long dead comment thread, but from what I could find it appears Northbrook Film Collective was either a company, group, or individual, who made mostly copyright music primarily for movies, though a lot of their work would appear in video games. I say mostly copyright, as I’ve heard a lot of their tracks play in various video games throughout the late 2000s and most of the 2010s. Whatever they (or it) were disappeared, and it seems they took their music to the grave with them. All that remains of Northbrook Film Collective are the remnants of their work in sound files, like those from War Games.

I call this particular tune - Opening Gambit - because I turn this tune up and enjoy the excitement as I plan and prepare for my next battle. This tune evokes drama and trepidation as I place my initial units on the battlefield. It generates the drama and fear of not knowing from where the initial enemy attack will actually come from. Opening Gambit a great tune.
