      Exactly. We know he's bullshitting when he says things like "I think Knorr Aromat is better than salt" or "the stockpot really brings out the flavor of the beef", but he says it so calmly and in passing almost that you don't even register that he's advertising it.

    People give him so much shit for the knorr sponsorship but they dont realize that in this industry there's no retirement.       @@kronictonic yeah. He had 3 Michelin stars early on in his career. In fact, I think he might have been one of the youngest ever. He hated how he felt stuck solely focusing on keeping those 3 stars after receiving them. Not being able to take risks for fear of losing them. So he said screw it and gave them up. There's a really fool multi part documentary of Gordon Ramsey called Boiling Point. It takes place before and just after he finally received his 3rd star. Gordon was Marco's student. So they go into that story.

    I want to see what happened behind the scenes of the meatball record. He looks rough and sounds utterly fed up with life at several points during it. You can tell it's killing him to put a stock pot in the pasta water.

      Maybe they force him to say that he likes boiling pasta with the cube instead of just salt... i think as part italian person / because his mom was italian it could be hurtful / outright a lie
      Edit: they might have asked him to say hes been using it for years... it sounds humiliating

    why do i like this better than cheesy camera tricks and cheap music of some modern cooking shows. hes teaching you how to cook and doing it well for someone who actually wants to learn. i do get that if you are a bum who watches cooking videos but have never picked up a knife or pan in your life this can be boring.

    I love him as a person above all else even over his cooking and him being a chef. He is such an intense person, you can tell he feels so passionate about life in general. He understands feelings and how to embrace them and understands peoples feeling around him puts himself in their shoes and boosts their morale. Sure he knows exactly who he is and expects respect for his accomplishments but at the same time does not see himself any better then anyone else. He’s the type of man you would learn alot about life in general being in his presence for awhile overall incredible man.

    What I like about Marco is that even though he is clearly a master at his craft you also feel like he is down to earth and real about it not to posh which I find is more appealing to a average joe like myself.

    I love this man so much... He's always so calm which when he's on masterchef it's actually kinds scarier than Gordon, Gordon explodes whereas Marco is so calm he gives off this era of disappointment, I'd love to cook with Marco because I wouldn't be a nervous wreck

      I can't remember if it was a documentary or what but there is a video where Marco kicked the camera crew out of the kitchen because he was pissed that the chefs fucked up and he didn't want what he was going to do or say be filmed.

    I usually alway cook based on family learning and hands on experince, but this mans tips actually help unlike other cooking shows or online recipies. Its also nice to know he uses packs of noodles too, I don't have the time to make my own like other folk ;-;
