There are various small portable chargers available that come with a solar panel for optional recharging. I have a couple of them for emergencies (I live in FL). They are great and not large devices, easy to store. Before your camping trips, just put a full charge on it by home outlet and then use the solar panel during the day to recharge at the campsite.

Amazing job an old classic with a modern retouch . I especially appreciate the minimalist approach in a day in age where we're overwhelmed with technology options.

I love seeing how everyone has their own way of doing things. You were already invested in those tools and you knew what your family would need and made it work!
My little camper came with electricity too, thankfully it can plug into the jackery I already had for tent camping. Since it's such a tiny camper, the jackery runs all of it. I like the idea for the water too! I have a similar system going on.

Very clever! Thank you for sharing the many ways a person can use the Milwaukee tools. I didn't know. Really great for a 1st time. Now, after camping some in it with your family, you'll be able to see where you want to make any changes. I personally love it the way that it is!

Great job!! I love the layout you chose and I think choosing to go “off grid” gives you so many more options of where you can camp comfortably. I am the same age as the camper now and my parents have taken us camping my whole life, every kind of camping you can imagine. The best part of it was being together with the whole family! I didn’t care much for sleeping in tents but I would have (and do) love this comfortable, beautiful place to camp!!

It looks so good and I do have a question? So I just bought a Shasta to redo and I'm wondering if any of the walls load barring? I really hate the closet that is next to my sink and the top to bottom closet that is right across from it and it seems like they where put in by previous ppls attempt of a redo but I'm not completely sure. Do you think it would be okay to take those out or should I at least leave a wall even if I take out the cabinet and closet area. It is right over the wheel area.

We bought a 1969 low liner about two days ago and of course when we bought it we seen that the left side was sagging by 4 inches. Found out the the wheel well was detached on the back side on the left side. How can I get that wall raised up without it completely giving out on me. Just need a quick fix in order to get to are location.

A few years ago I was going to buy a moldy fixer but ended up regretfully passing. I love projects and I think I could have done it a modern justice. Simple and basic is my style. Mold is so bad though. As is (or was) the rust. I wouldn't had to move it but would have wanted to make it road worthy. Maybe in the future I will get another chance. Nice job! Have you moved it? Curious how rigid spayfoam would be?!

If this was my first trailer, I probably would have done the same thing you did. Learning how to properly rebuild and renovate one of these now I realize how dangerous it is to "gut" the trailer since its built totally different than a house and how important it is for the cabinets to keep the structural integrity so the trailer won't fall apart on the road. To properly rebuild means to remove the outer skin and pay attention to how its built. Sorry to be a downer but if this unit is on the road it's a danger.

You’re trailer is very aesthetically appealing however trailers need to have the upright cabinets especially as well as the upper cabinets for structural integrity. If they are removed there is nothing holding that trailer together besides stick and tin. It becomes a dangerous rolling accident waiting to happen.
