Atlas Rise was not on the show's setlist... Even after 2 hours of an exhausting show, they played to end the show and respond to a request from the fans... 99% of the rock bands on the planet (maybe Metallica itself) they would leave the stage and not take on this challenge... They, aged 17/15 and 13, did it brilliantly...
It was at the request of the owner who’s birthday it was, it was otherwise as you said.
They were 18, 16, and Ale just turned 14 a month *before* this show however. 😉
Metallica would and already did such things in the past. Not to mention that they are now around 60 years old and still going strong like these teenagers
Three teenage girls doing the job of Four grown men, and absolutely slaying it!
You're teenagers, you've just finished a two hour show and this is what you choose to play as an encore. That's just showing off - doing it brilliantly. This girls are taking rock to a whole 'nother level.
To me, doing a cover song doesn't have to be from the OG bands "BEST" song, as that is subjective, and a personal thing. This cover was done by request from the Owner of Whiskey A Go Go, for this Private invite only show. This is the only time they played it on a stage in public. I think they did a badass job here, after doing a 2 hr 20+ song set as young teenagers. If you can't get past the lead singers voice, you will never be a fan, or even want to listen to them. I get that 100%, I am the same way with other artists. Thanks for being polite about it. 🤘
I've got that with Geddy from Rush. Great music, but I don't like his voice....bad for me, I well liking the music.

Not bad considering they are 19, 17 and 14 here. ALE,14 the bass player looked plum wore out. They had already finished there set and the owner asked them to do this one last song for them.

Two weeks later you would be correct. At this gig they were 18, 16, and 14.
Keep in mind that Atlas Rise is played with 2 guitars 🎸 and The Warning only has 1 guitar played by Dany.
Furthermore, they had been singing for more than 2 hours and this song is demanding, I think it was okay considering they're a Power Trio

Hi Rebecca this performance, which is very good, was years ago now and I know you have reacted to more recent songs but Dany's voice is growing and changing. Pau does have a beautiful voice, however, which you can hear on the track 23 among others. Have you listened to Hell you call a dream yet? The live version The Warning put out very recently.
Dany’s voice is unique. She is one of a handful of rockers that sing in character too. Her expressive eyes and scowls convey the very tone and meaning of the songs she sings.
You need to listen to The Warning's work, their songs, so you can give an objective opinion, watch their performance at the 2023 MTV VMAs and then comment what you thought of Daniela's performance, that's what the guitarist and lead singer is called, the drummer's name is Paulina won the award for the best rock drummer in the world in 2023 and the bassist is called Alejandra, one of the best bassists in current rock.

I don't think that listening to the original will help convince you anything about Dany's voice . What may convince you is listening to the bands recent live concerts at the Metropolitan theatre or the Pepsi centre CDMX , of their own songs to have a true reflection on how she sounds now .Thanks !

First thing is The Warning are far more than ok not only are they musical genius, they play classical piano all 3, since Children they've released 3 excellent Albums 1 more soon to be released. They may not be your kind of music, but they are very, very far from just okay!
You have not heard enough of the warning. The drummer has several lead songs besides this particular video was from 6 years ago when Dany was 18, Pau 16, and Ale 14.
You need to listen to their new single HYCAD Hell You Call A Dream, Live Performance from the Pepsi Center in Mexico City. I guarantee you will be impressed with Dany’s vocals. In June The Warning is collaborating for three dates with Bandmaid in Japan. If you listen to the Teatro Metropolitan cdmx concert from August 29 2022 , it’s going to be hard for you to find a song you don’t like. You need to give this band a chance before you make up your mind. I’m 67 years old and Led Zeppelin was my favorite band as many others, and all this new music that’s coming out now is very refreshing. The Warning being one of them.
Well TWA I wouldn’t fret about it some people you just can’t please, which I don’t understand, because I went back and checked this reactors other vids, and she seems to like the older rock, which is funny, because the Warnings influences come from a lot of these same artist from which the Warning gets their sound🤔. Oh well at least she said she was honest,(that the Warning is not her cup of tea). Well may be time to move on to another reactor Warning army, cause we know Dany is one hell of a singer just watch the charismatic voice, and thats a classical trained singer and vocal coach have nothing but praise’s for Dany’s voice… TWA ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Rebeka, Please give Dany another chance. This show was in 2017 and her voice has matured ALOT since then. At their Teatro show in 2022 you could hear a big difference in her voice, but it has gotten even better. They did a show in Oct. 2023 at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City that they recorded and have recently releaased one video from it and her voice is so much better now. She can add grit to it and hit some pretty high notes too.
I'm a huge fan of The Warning, and I like Dany's vocals and also Pau's. But i Like and respact when a reactor has a diferent opinion and is not afraid to say it, we dont always like what other people like, good for you Rebeka, in the other hand I would like you to give it a chance and listen to their new song "hell you call a dream" live @ pepsi center in Mexico city, Dany's voice has definitly improved in my opinion, greetings from Mexico!!!!

You have mentioned on a few occasions that the songs were ok and the band was talented. Thanks for sticking to The Warning and trying to find a song you can connect with.
I am not sure what you find irritating about Dany's vocals, but personally, I think she has a great rock voice with an incredible range.
Listen to a few Pau( Drummer) led vocal songs like Dust to Dust, 23, or even Revenant. Try live at Teatro Metropolitan theatre from August 2022 for great video and audio. I really hope you can find the song to connect with as these young ladies are fantastic, IMO.
You may appreciate Dany's vocals live at the Pepsi centre with their new song ' Hell you call a dream ' .I watched all your Depeche Mode reactions, and you seemed to enjoy them. Love The Warning so was glad to see your reaction to their cover of Atlas Rise. I think The Warning hit and miss on covers but it's cool to hear their versions. The Enter Sandman cover was a totally different approach and it rocked in its own way. What got me hooked was their TED Talk performances mainly Survive and Rivers Soul. They were much younger then so the song writing, music and performance blew me away. Your reaction was honest, and you definitely wear your heart on your sleeve. Thanks for another great reaction!

It was a song requested for them from the owner. Don't judge them from the covers(Except Enter Sandman), you need to watch their original songs. They have many to choose from, especially their 3 recent releases in 2024 from their upcoming new album, their 4th.
This was more than 5 years ago and the last of a 22 song setlist. Dany's voice has improved a lot since then. You should check out their live performance of "Hell You Call A Dream" from Pepsi Center and if you still don't like her voice then yes, this band is definitely not for you, which is perfectly fine, I like that honesty.

I would give you some kind of challenge or something... If after listening to TW singing "Hell You Call A Dream" official video live at the Pepsi Center you still dislike Dany's voice It's because it will simply never be to your liking... Or maybe you will find that it sounds better with the evolution and development of her voice.

Exactly. Going after views is one thing, but The Warning Army can be extremely protective of the girls. Move on to something else without us.
I'm not a Metallica fan, but it never fails to catch my attention that quite a few of the band's fans really don't like this song. On the other hand, it's okay if you don't like Daniela's timbre of voice, it's your preference and I don't see what can be argued against that. It's your preference and that's it.

I don’t like how their voices sound at Whiskey Go Go and Lunario. IMHO their best recordings live are Teatro Metropolitan, Dakota Bar (they were very young there). it looks like the Pepsi one is going to be great too, so far only one song has been released.
Please take a look at: 23, Revenant, Dust to Dust at Teatro Metropolitan. Also, Choke but it is a Danny song. FYI of the songs you have reacted from The Warning none of them are my favorites, besides the ones I already mentioned above my other favs are: Dull Knives, Ugh, Hell You Call A Dream, Breathe, Runaway, Wildfire, Animosity, Black Holes, Take me Down…

Ella no esta muy involucrada con la voz de Dany. Es su gusto pero sin duda la voz principal es la mejor obviamente sin menospreciar a Pau. Dany tiene esa energía y rudeza del cantante principal.

Today live shows are a complete team effort, and the differences in team makeup between a Metalica-isk band and a The Warning-isk band are monumental. So don't waste your time reviewing Metalica's version just for the sake of comparison, as that won't be a comparison you couldn't guess ahead of time. Also, the venue is Wiskie A Go Go, aside from the Bassist joining in some impromptu jamming sessions with members of other bands, you won't find a Metalica performance there, as Metalica left its punk rock days after their first successful album. The venue is set up to be more of a raw rock n roll/ punk rock venue, not a grand live performance for the masses venue. That means the audio engineering isn't going to be anywhere near the level you would find in a Metalica performance. Add to this issue, it's a 3 piece band playing a 4 piece band's complicated measure, and you already impose great complications and sacrifices that just make any comparison apple to oranges.
To properly judge this, you need to judge it for what it is, a 3 piece number, done on request and not out of the band's catalog of tracks in a Punk Rock forum at the end of a long main-act show. It sounded wonderful from an old punk rocker's perspective. I felt they pulled off the challenge fantastically. We are all entitled to our opinions though, and I don't mean to demote yours.

It's not you thing the lead singer has a week voice the drummer is all around best performer maybe they need to lower the volume for the lead singer but then I still want to be able to understand her.

Weak voice? Things to remember:
1. They were very young here
2. She was singing for 2 hours, anybody after that long would have their voice less than optimal.
3. English is not their first language, this probably causes her voice to get tired earlier than a native singer specially at that the time of this recording. You can notice that her English has changed over time too.
4. Since then Dany has been working a lot in her voice. She has a vocal coach now that has helped her with her technique and making sure that she can stay healthy with her singing.
5. Choke and Hell You Can Call A Dream are good examples how much she has accomplished and she is still very young.

I will say this. Dany's guitar work has somewhat improved, yet I feel as though there's still something missing. Just can't put my finger on it. She also has a decent voice but perhaps it doesn't coincide with the music? Maybe. They're still young and will undoubtedly get better over time. A year from now we may be singing a different tune when it comes to The Warning. Rock on!

Here's a thought. If you want to listen to a cover of a song you have never listened to before, watch/listen to the original song first. If you think that listening to them in the order you plan will render the same thoughts, you are likely mistaken. Your overall lack of enthusiasm in your presentation almost - but not quite - makes me want to watch a video you are thrilled with from the beginning to see if your dry demeanor alters at all. Your opinions are just that, but if you don't like Dany's voice, you are a chorus of one!! 🙄 That loud noise you hear is The Warning Army swooshing straight past your channel. And by all appearances, you wouldn't care.

Then you're going to want to check out the just released live version of Hell You Call A Dream from Pepsi Center CDMX.

The vocals and sound is different, I love both versions but I like Dany’s voice better during the live performance and seeing Pau having so much fun. But, I have noticed that most female reactors liking the studio version more

They played a version of a Metallica song that Metallica is physically incapable of playing.
Meh, not into The Warning. I recommend "Star One - Into The Black Hole." It's a live version from their Live on Earth concert video. It's over 11 minutes & has the great Damian Wilson (Threshold) on vocals with Floor & Irene Jansen on background vocals. The original studio version has Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson on lead vocals. If you're interested in checking Damian out with Threshold, I'd start with Extinct Instinct (1997) & then March of Progress (2012).
