You CAN'T let any beer get warm/hot! I left some cases of beer in my car, and they ALL tasted skunky. But, I LOVE my Mooseheads every evening, and I drank MANY different beers in my 70 years! (Edit) Get bottles, cans aren't as good. 2-It used to cost about $22, a couple yrs ago here in PA, now a case costs exactly $24.50 w/tax, so $1 a bottle.
Im in VA, we get 12pks for 13.99. I really like that beer, but a few weekends ago at a thanksgiving get-together I had 9 of them. Let me tell you, the hangover the next day was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Lesson learned.
It’s a cheap beer where I am. And honestly I put it in the same category I would put Rolling Rock. Overtly light and kind of tangy crisp, as you mentioned. I’m not a big fan, as it’s thin in body and flavor. Tastes like a $1 a bottle beer at best.
Very cood through beer review, German Noble hops have a dank aroma, which doesnt mean abad thing, so we use skunked beer as a stale old beer in the New England area, nice collecti like te older Schlitz cans, and the older Lone Star bottle, and the red Carlings can, cheers !
Discovered moosehead maybe 3 years ago. I drink it so consistently that the distributor i get it from gave me a moosehead t shirt. To me, it's the perfect beer; smooth, refreshing, and doesnt leave me feeling groggy in the morning like other beers.
Sometimes the local package store will have it on sale for $10.99 but you're right about the prices being higher here as compared to up north. I gave it the same grade when I reviewed it. Good review Jay 👍🏾😁
I enjoy Canadian lagers: This, Molson Canadian and Labatt Blue aren't bad at all and are a nice change from time to time. Lately, I've been enjoying the Mexican pilsner Pacifico!
That twang taste you were talking about is like light chocolate flavor. Drinking my first 6 pack today. Its not bad. I prefer PBR and PBR Extra a bit more. But all in all a good beer. Thanks for the review. Cheers.
Hi Jay, by any chance can you get Brooklyn Pilsner in your state? It has become a new beer available here in the UK, its been very popular, and its a reasonable price. Our version is brewed here in the UK. We get very little Brooklyn brewery beers here now but this one has had a massive ad campaign on social media
Yes,most beer companies put out good beers.I agree,some are just better than good with a few beers scoring less than good.Its all subjective but i get what your saying about not buying some reviews.Keep doing what your doing.
this is surprisingly a dollar cheaper per six pack, on average, than 90% of the domestic options at my stores in south nj. which makes it a good deal imo.
I had my first and last this past Saturday. Terrible. I didn't even have lacing in my glass. Drank 3/4. Dumped the rest risked the glass and cleansed pallet with a yuengling premium. I'd rather drink old Milwaukee.
Along with Fosters, Moosehead was 1st imported beer I actually liked back in my college years. Any Euro offerings tried back then (Beck's, Heineken, St. Pauli Girl, etc) my taste buds were not yet ready for all barley + especially the noble hops real beer taste. Liked this one with old college friends at the time & would enjoy as occasional step up vs. usual Busch or Meister Brau. Have not had particularly recently but a couple/few years ago I did pick up 4 pack of 16 oz. cans locally here in SE Virginia a few times. Not bad for what it is, slightly preferable to BMC stuff in my view. Should jump on the 4 pack of cans again next time i see it ... they were cheap too, 5 or 6 bucks.

Was saying the euro beers (malt n noble hops) i mentioned I could not handle the taste in college but Moosehead was 1st import i found drinkable/appealing. Funny you mention the all malt or not thing (again I'm with you, is an AAL) because I remember on Hoggie's video of this beer he sang it's praises because he claimed it was all malt. I pretty sure i put in the remarks there that I think he was mistaken about that.
It is a crap adjuct lager just like all crap mass produced adjuct lagers. Do not buy it, for a good Lager there are many choices. Pilsner Urquell is one good one. Good review Ronald even though I think you are way too kind to these types of beers.
You might want to try their Alpine Brand or a beer out of nova scotia called "Alexander Keith Beer". Oldest independent brewery in Canada. Quite popular on the east coast of canada ...as well as other parts of canada

I don't think Moosehead Lager is all malt, but they do use 100% Canadian-grown malt, in the recipe. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy it.
