Super Anleitung! Nach deiner Anleitung Display gewechselt, und da der Cd-Schlitz Moosgummi nicht mehr schwarz war, sondern sich grünlich verfärbt hatte, diesen mit Textilfarbe wieder schwarz gemalt. Bei mir waren nur 2 von 4 Stellen angelötet, dafür war auf einen, ein riesen Brocken Lötzinn. DANKE
Hello, just followed the vid and replaced mine. Vid worked perfect. Weird thing was once I installed the radio the display did not start working until 24 hours later. I was thinking I had a bad display... but to my amazement it came on all of the sudden and has worked perfect since. Got the screen off of eBay for $89. Love it now. Thanks for the video!
+Wadiman no, what happened to me was it wasn't lit and if I put a flashlight on it I can barely see the characters. Then after a day it lit up normal. Has worked perfect ever since. I recommend taking it apart again and making sure that the tapes are properly inserted into their slots.

Can you tell me what you're doing with the soldering iron prior to and after you replace the LCD? Are you just melting the existing solder so you can bend the little arm away from it? Thanks in advance!!
What he is doing is to melt the solder at the tabs and using desoldering vacuum pump which sucks the old solder away. This way it free ups the little tabs so you can bend it away and remove the frame. When reassembling just push it thru the opening, bend back as it was and re-solder.

Могу ли я панель от новой магнитолы просто пристроить к моей проф башке, к моей старой магнитоле (работает отлично просто пиксели пропали и кнопки стерлись)? Или панель с другой профешнл 73 не подойдет к моей магнитоле? Спасибо
I got the new unit from another car and I installed it and everything works (car is 328i from 2008). There is just one problem. Volume is low. Weather it is AUX or radio it is kind of low and if I turn the car off and start it again, there is no sound at all and I have to increase it to max, but that max is very low compared to old one. I wonder if it needs some kind of reset or programming to increase audio to max. When I put back the old one, the volume is perfect but of course pixels are bad. I don't know, at this point not sure what to do. Maybe I'll try to switch the screens only. Anyone knows of any programming needed? I unhooked the battery and reconnected it again, but no improvement.
Hi, I will try and Fix the display on this alpine cd 73 radio. How would i test the unit connecting it to a 12v power supply? Pin 15 & 16 positive ???? please help

I have just done the replacement but all I get is an orange panel showing that it is lit but no characters. Is this what happened to you?

Programming is needed if u replace the entire module.
