- In this video, I cleaned out a ton of clutter from the fridge freezer. I made it a goal to get rid of all this clutter, and I did. I cooked dinner from the freezer clutter, and preserved a lot of veggies and fruit for shelf stable pantry staples that can be snacks or more convenient ingredients for cooking from the pantry.

Haha I have a few mystery soup in my fridge too.
Oh my goodness this makes me realize I'm not alone in my freezer clutter. This makes me want to really dig and see what I have.
I’m glad it is inspiring. It definitely motivates me to keep digging around in the freezers. I was planning to make pizza but didn’t have cornmeal to put down under the crust. Then I clued in that I freeze dried corn that I can grind up. Made a whole other product I would have bought. Just from going through the clutter, definitely a win.
You’re so motivating!! Also - you must be a pampered chef consultant?? Love those pots and utensils!!
Thank you. I appreciate. I used to be one, but resigned when I promoted to fast track director and got all my free and discounted kitchen goodies.
@@cowbosskristy that was a score!!
Kristy…you always come up with “out of the box” ways to redeem miscellaneous/ random food items. The pierogis were a good example of this. In the end, they looked like a tasty side dish.
Thank you
I dug in my chest freezer yesterday and found a piece of ham so I stuck it in the oven.. but unfortunately it had been in the freezer too long and was rancid so I cut it to bits and tossed it out for the ravens and magpies. I have one more chunk of ham in the freezer but I'll wait and cook it up for the birds another day.
Oh no sorry to hear. Ham is not a good keeper. I am planning to freeze dry a bunch of mine that’s expiring soon to extend its life a bit longer. I pressure canned some too. It’s super handy to have on the shelf.
Almost like going out to eat on a free coupon! Supper looked yummy. and your dried food increased win, win. I didn't know you could freeze dry food with all that frozen liquid mixed in. Does it take a really long time?
Haha I like the way you think. I actually wouldn’t normally put too much icy stuff in there but it really doesn’t make much difference from pre frozen in past experiences. It’s still running right now, so I am not sure specifically how long it took yet. I put it on last night.
Can you do an informational video on your freeze dryer? I really want to get one, but it looks like quite the investment.
Sure I can do my best one day soon when I get a chance to. Living traditions homestead has a great video on running costs and stuff. I bought mine through their affiliate link.
@@cowbosskristy thank you! I will check out their video too :)
