I'll have to put it back on the menu again so I can record it! But basically, I fry off a heaped teaspoon of ginger in a knob of butter, toss in the finely chopped lime leaves and stir around until fragrant. Then I add 2x 400ml cans of coconut cream, 1x 400ml can of water and 3 cups of basmati rice. I turn the element down to low, cover the pot and stir every 5 minutes to stop it from sticking / burning to the bottom of the pot. After 15 minutes (3 stirs) I turn the element off and let the rice do it's thing for another 10 minutes. The basmati rice seems to work best - jasmine & long white go a bit gluggy (there is away around it, but that's post in itself! lol)
It really depends on the individual supermarket. If you have a Woolies, their new sale stickers actually have the time they were printed on the top right hand corner.
Oh my goodness! Charlotte, just beyond gorgeously cute and kind of you helping mum.
Aww, thank you! xx
Wow Charlotte you're a star!! Very well done. Some great ideas, thank you.

Love your little helper at the end

Your daughter did a good job helping make the video.
Thanks!! She's not afraid to jump in and take over!
Would love to know how you cook coconut rice.😊

@@NikkiBeal thanks for that. Will have to try it.😊
Just wondering when is the best time to go shop to get the marked down products?

@@NikkiBeal oh! Thanks for the tip!
