    Great video! So I just upgraded to Bilstein 5100’s in the front and used them to help level out my sons 2011 Tacoma. We went with the highest ringclip setting which raised the front about 2.5”. Afterwards I noticed a very slight vibration - similar to how you describe in your video. It’s not a constant vibration and I do not notice it at higher speeds than 20-30 mph. We made no adjustment to the rear. Truck sits about perfectly level now which is great, but the vibration bugs me. Could this be the fix considering only 2.5” front lift only?
    Thanks in advance!

    • @Tacomaholic
      @Tacomaholic  6 років тому

      Thanks for the sub Sean! Tons of combos to do for lifting your truck but I'd recommend you stick with a 3" suspension lift. That should be plenty unless you are really doing some hardcore stuff. Beware of the body lifts, especially anything over 1", because your truck could slide right off of the frame in a hard accident. So I’m getting vibrations as well, around same speed, however, it occurred due to my leaf springs I recently installed.. so essentially it’s a reverse of what people normally get vibrations due to (vibrations from front lift vs rear lift, the butt of my taco was too high)

    • @Tacomaholic

    • @Tacomaholic
      @Tacomaholic  6 років тому +1

      Thanks for watching buddy! If you got the vibes after you lifted your truck then it probably is your driveshaft geometry causing it. However, find a straight road where the vibe replicates for you at that speed range and then put your truck into 4wd ... if the vibe goes away at that point then you need to do the ECGS bushing mod.

      my 2010 has it also.. the tires are not seated perfectly on the rim causing this. no shop would know that or know how to fix it. you have to remount tires with lots of lube or wd40 on bead and tire. then inflate to seat tire.. then drain air and refill again

      Tacomaholic could u recommend me a lift that would give me 3 inch of lift but do the least amount of damage I've been researching for months with a 600 to 700 dollar price range

      Do you just want to lift the front 3" or front and back?

      Tacomaholic front and back it don't have to be 3 either I'd be happy with 2.5 but id also like to keep the Rake my truck has for hauling

      To stay within that budget it's doing to have to be some kind of block for the rear, but you could do adjustable Bilstein 5100s up front. Here's a link for a kit for 2005-2015 Tacomas: amzn.to/2AAMsGV

    Is this needed for a 2 / 1 lift?

      You won't really know until you lift and find out if you get the vibrations or not.
