- Hi friends! I absolutely LOVED making this layout! I used all of the beautiful pieces in Vicki Boutin’s Mixed Media Collection (available at Joann Fabrics) to create a color wheel to capture a sweet memory of my girl creating art! I layered all of the beautiful pieces on top of several layers of mixed media including Distress Oxides, stamps and ink from the collection, and Cosmic Watercolors! What a beautiful layout! Recently me and my son have been making a habit of watching a scrapbooking video together before getting ready for the day. You’re one of our favorites to watch. He’s starting to ask certain questions about how a creator does something and his question this morning was how you put it in a sleeve thing(page protector). I told him maybe you display them before putting them in an album. I mean, that’s what I would do because your layouts are always so pretty. If you could answer his question that would be cool. He’s a big fan of creating art so you give him a lot of inspiration.
Oh my goodness! I love hearing this! To answer his question, I do put them in page protectors! The craft foam helps the embellishments to not flatten out. My albums are very thick because all my pages have dimension! Please tell him thank you for watching, and I hope he has fun making art, too!!🩷🧡💛

I store them upright, but it might be smarter to store them horizontally!
So the vicki boutin inks are like archival inks..meaning they stay crisp when using water? Also gorgeous layout i an overjoyed when one of your process videos pops up ❤

They’re not archival. They seized up and did not blend when mixed with water.

Love this layout, what paint brush do you use?
Thank you so much!! I actually use a paint brush that I got from an amazing artist in my church that passed away. It was well loved when I got it, and I’ve been using it for at least ten years. It’s a medium sized brush (I think a 10).❤️🧡💛
