- On today's vlog, we are talking about WITCHES! But the TRUE meaning of what it is to be a witch. I think it’s time for women to reclaim the word “Witch” and understand its true origins.
Did you know the word “Witch” is derived from “Wit” which means intelligence? Therefore to be a witch means to be a wise woman.
It’s taken me a long time to be able to reclaim that title for myself, but one I am proud to call myself today.
I always associated witches as evil, like the ones we are told about in stories such as Snow White or The Wizard of Oz, where they’d cast spells, wear pointy hats and often had warts on their noses.
The true definition of WITCH aka “The Wise Woman” is a woman connected to her intuition, her natural healing abilities, the Earth and other realms.
A woman so powerful she was seen as a threat to patriarchy and the Western medicine model and was burnt alive and tortured for simply being in connection to herself and the Earth.
I believe it’s time for the wise women of the world, the healers, the midwives, the medicine women, to RISE and RECLAIM their innate power. Don’t be afraid, for they cannot burn you now, sister.

Thank you for the video! The difference between light magic and dark magic really resonated with me or white witches and dark witches. These differences were unfortunately manipulated and used to hurt many healers.
Another one you brought up was midwives. I grew up in the american south and remember relatives talking about midwives in the black community. People went to them for various reasons and they were effective. Too effective they were regulated almost out of existence as unscientific and "backwards" I'm not sure if this happened globally
Yes I feel (well in Australia) there is a rise now in women returning to holistic midwives opposed to medical hospital births. I definitely agree with the fact that the midwives were too affective and there are powerful agendas at play here who take advantage of the trauma that occurs in a lot of medical “science-based” births
I agree please explain about the science based births I'm sure there used to be a better way
