I completely agree-it would be great to have the extra power but the GTS feels special and more track focused, plus it looks the best IMO! Plus the exhaust note is perfect
also have 13' GTS with 24k kilometers on it, rarely to use.. I know isn't fast car as the 63 AMG but GTS driving experience is more fun in my opinion..
One thing I've realized from owning a Cayenne for a month now (upgraded from a BMW 4 series coupe and a C-350 sport coupe prior to that), is that Mercedes and BMW these are mostly driven by people who like to go "me-too" and won't think twice before driving like a hooligan if it means getting attention.....When you're driving in a Porsche, the badge is enough....you're too busy being in your own lane not giving a shit for attention seekers LOL.
@@NickTrelford LOL don't mean any disrespect to you personally bro - but having been on the other side a not too long ago to where i am now as far as ownership of these cars go, the difference seems night and day.....i've seen people trying to act a fool at the signal or on the highways just because they see a 2 door bimmer they think some punkass who wants to race......meanwhile i'm just staying in my lane minding my own shit lol....like damn i'm past that age of seeking attention..like "i'm getting my shine, you get yours and stay out of my business" LOL. PS - Those W204 C63 AMGs are probably the sickest in its class of AMGs (current C63s got nothing on them - at least styling wise). Safe driving :)
I am a ameteaur mechanic/car enthusiasts and I got a cayenne S that I modded up myself,I also diy installed the better sounding mufflers and tips from a gts(PS there's no discussion or info on this swap but the gts exhaust on the other v8 models without any modifications being needed to fit.they are completely interchangeable).I've had the gts exhaust on my cayenne for a year now and I can't get enough of the exhaust note it is so beautiful I want everyone to hear it.lol. oh and I may very well be the very first person to install a gts exhaust onto another model cayenne!
Yep this one’s been bulletproof aside from the transfer case clunking which is a known issue-we just had the fluid flushed and replaced and it’s been fine for years! Additionally there was a coolant hose replaced as it is prone to cracking with age, so all relatively small issues/cheap repairs. Certainly worth it imo!👍

@@NickTrelford I've had mine 9 years now, and I don't want to part with it. Even with the transfer case problems. Mines eatin 2 now, and I still won't part with it.
@@jeffnorris55 mines still under warranty, so I never saw the cost. After a class action lawsuit, they have to replace them up to 100k miles warranty or not. My buddy said worst case it would prolly be 4k outta pocket if he did it. Mines only got 60k on it, so I've got no worries.

GTS is way more fun than the turbo. Bought an MY13 GTS after owning a turbo, still got it.

The Merc is obviously off its head; however, for me, the Porsche has more style, and i don't think the Merc would win across the mud track type test.
