I seem to remember somewhere that a director said that nobody had told Famke to stand up or raise her arms during the battle with Charles scene, and that she had just done it herself... she was the most PERFECT person to play this role...
Charles really handled this badly, you’ve got a mentally and emotionally vulnerable Jean slipping in and out and a very agitated Phoenix ready to explode at anything that pisses it off.
@@invictuz4803 Charles has always prided himself on using his psychic abilities to help get to centre of any problem which you can argue he uses for psychological help. But in this situation Charles said all the wrong things imaginable and what he did to jean’s mind was wrong he had no right to meddle with the mind of a child. He could of worked with Jean to help phoenix better understand the value of using its powers for the benefit of the world. But instead he caged it, threw that cage into a pit and threw the key away. What he did was wrong and then when he said to Jean you killed Scott because you can’t control your powers, you have an emotionally and mentally vulnerable Jean hearing that while slipping in and out of control which only allowed phoenix to take control of jean’s body
@@samparrish4870 Logan basically told Charles earlier that if you put the beast in a cage, the beast gets angry, but Charles was like "I don't have to explain myself to you". I think this was the Phoenix getting revenge after being locked up for so long.
People forget this was the first Marvel movie with a post credit tease when it showed that Charlies took command of a body of a man born with no conciousness after his death. At first,it seemed the scene would lead to nothing as FOX went to X-Men Origins Wolverine as the next film. But 7 years later, it paid off during the post credits of The Wolverine when both Patrick Stewert and Ian Mckellen returned to the franchise for what would be X-Men Days of Futures Past.

3:00 Wolverine this ain't the jean personality that we know all know. Wolverine : But she laying on this table looking so peacefully. Wolverine seeing jean other personality. And he was still In disbelief. He told storm that wasn't Jean i dont know what that was. Scary
When you think about it logically, scene 1:10 -1:12 makes no sense. There's no reason why logan should have come through the other ceiling. If anything, it would have made sense if Juggernaut ran to the other side, jumped up, and snatched him through the ceiling. But for effects, the scene was pretty cool. But that kick to the stomach by The Juggernaut, with enough force to kick him through a wall, should have made Logan shit 💩in his pants. Literally!
This scene, with the music and what’s happening between Jean and Prof X…. It moves me in a profound way. Absolutely gives me chills
Yea the movie had big flaws but even bigger set pieces, this was such a great scene.
The phoenix theme is pretty incredible.
Even Magneto the iron bender was genuinely scared of what jean has become!
JEAN can control anything even a person's mind, and Magneto can only control metal.

I really like how she visually becomes a Phoenix as her humanity succumbs to its rage and chaotic power.
X Men The Last Stand definitely is an underrated movie even with its flaws. Much better the mediocre movies coming out nowadays.
Agreed.
Eric Lensherr: “Charles Xavier did more for mutants than you will ever know. My single greatest regret is that he had to die for our dream to live.”
Magneto to Juggernaut before the fight: "Don't you let ANYONE in!!"
Juggernaut: Throws Wolverine INTO the house!
There’s a reason Juggernaut has to wear a helmet🤦♂️
@@_LilRascal_ Oh yea, what reason would that be???🤔
He threw him into a different house
😂

Uggghhh as a fire sign I can relate... I love her..Jean/ Phoenix was completely engulfed in her element.. good for her
Pretty sick effects for 2006.

It was Eric who was provoking Jean/phoenix . he is selfish and only cared about his own goals and that stupid war. Charles should've went there alone.
Nah it’s really magnetos fault. He kept instigating while Charles was trying to calm her
What happens when you cage the beast? It gets angry and kills its master. 💪

3:30 Professor Charles Xavier: Don't let your power control you.
Professor X lost mind fight two times. First is this scene, Jean Grey (aka. Dark Phoenix) Second is Wanda Maximoff (aka. Scarlet Witch)
Right!!!! The world's most powerful telepath is the world's worst Telepath when it comes to other super-powered beings.

Well they're both mentally and emotionally unstable so Charles didn't realize he can't negotiate with crazy.
Music is epic - should listen to this on its own
i hope jean grey will appear in future mcu movies

Wolverine's adamantium skeleton is unbelievably heavy, so much so that he can't float in water, he just sinks. So it does kinda make sense.
Murican houses are built from cardboxes and light wood, it is believable lmao
I fight between jean n Wanda maximoff would be interesting

I think Simon Kinberg did a better job as a director in Dark Phoenix than Brett Ratner in TLS
DP sucks, the actress is so horrible in that movie
