What's the round count? If it's at least a few thousand, it could be the recoil spring getting worn out. That can cause the slide to hold up a tiny bit out of battery. Generous of you to suggest the ammo before the gun. Honestly, though, if it's new production 9mm, unless it was made in a third world country, that stuff should not be misfiring in any appreciable way. Did you check the firing pin? Is it going into battery all the way? I'm assuming you tried different mags... This is why I reload. Nothing like rolling your own and cutting out the middle man... (then again, 1000 rounds of 9mm is back down to 250-260 bucks... Hard to beat... unless you find pulled hollow points and train with the same stuff you shoot at bad guys with.. I know, I know... spoiled...)
Just buy oem glocks and put in a threaded barrel mount whatever you want to it, then get a mounted light, and get ammo all for the same amount of money youll spend on a guci glock and ammo that's wasted trying to run it just to find out its not more reliable or functional than a stock glock. Tighter tolerances, slides precision fitted to barrels, match barrels with tight chambers, light triggers, and light recoil springs always mean it's never going to be duty reliable.
Agreed. I had a Zev Dragonfly in 40. Worst pistol I had. Slide rusted, terrible trigger, horrible recoil and accuracy. Sent to Glock for rust. They said not their issue to send to Zev. Zev took care of rust at the window cuts, but it started rusting again. Had to sell for cheap. Bought HK VP40. Best 40 I've ever had. Besides that, all factory Glocks I've had, never had any issues at all. I've been purchasing Glocks since the original G17 came out. Awesome pistols. Very hard to beat.

I know, I know... spoiled...)
He said in another video they sent him out a new firing pin and it took care of the issue.
I shoot blazer 124 out of my xr920, probably around 2000 by now. Not a single malfunction.
The only times I see glocks have problems at my range is with the zev/shadow systems clones
Yep
@@dragonsmk1812 I was looking at maybe a shadow system or zev but, the more I read the more i am hesitant. What is your opinion on edc’ing one?
@@arello3112 As for myself, I don't look at Zev at all. Based on my Dragonfly I had. I know it was 1 out of many made. But it was enough to turn my head. Plus to mention resale value was horrible. As for Shadow systems, I researched quite a bit and see problems lately. Plus I have 2 friends who have them. They feel slightly better in the hand because of the frame. Otherwise it's a Glock. And if I want a Gucci Glock I'll build my own, like my P365. The only original parts is the FCU.
And I just bought a Glock 19M. It's slightly different and I like the feel of the 19 platform. Good luck.
@@arello3112don't let this comment section get to you. Most of these people are lying because they are fanboys of different makers or its user errors and bad ammo. There are legions of people that love SS and Zev. I personally think Zev is way overpriced compared to a SS.
It’s the Glock mags use gen 3 mags or -mags and won’t have the issue
NOW THIS GUY IS TACTICOOL HAHA SO COOL.
Yes your shooting bad ammo, shadow systems recommends higher grain
Slide could be hitting the glockazines metal lips... I've had it cause issues in multiple non Glock guns. Use pmags
You just told Trench to use Glock pmags 😂😂😂. It will be a cold day in hell.
It's definitely the ammo
I run a foundation series and it eats whatever. I carry 147 hst but target is 124 blazer
The target stuff is what you’ll end up using if your in apocalypse and still
Alive
@@trench_grenade i stock up on 124 gr, but ive fired 115 fmj and jhp out of my mr920 and no issues
I've been hearing about more and more issues with shadow systems over the last 2 years since they really scaled up production. Guess zev is the new factory better than glock meta
Zev has had more issues that SS by a long shot, plus their pistols are almost 2x the price of SS.
Ammo problem? It’s a gun problem!
Glock doesn't have this issue I gotta say. I love shadow systems and may buy one but my EDC is a Glock 19 gen 5
All I shoot is 115 grain on my 3 shadow systems but on my AP5-P I can only shoot 124 grain consistent.
The gun works great now
Buy a Gen 5 glock you are shooting old tech. And you making some rich by just selling a knockoff. You can either have a Gucci Glock, or Hucci Hack
Don't wanna be that guy but I bet a stock Glock would eat it no problem lol
Mine do
What holster do you run for this shadow systems pistol
Surefire
That's not a cheap firearm. But hey, look really cool though.
Some of these guys lol
Lol right.
Send er in
Talking bout ammo you say wolf the absolute worst ammo money can buy and you wondering if it’s the gun😂
maskout doors?
I would want my pistol to run all types of ammo no matter the grain. All firearms, for that matter.
all my SS have been flawless
Nice
Hard to beat a plane jane glock (insert model # of your preference here), they arent pretty, or gucci but they sure do go bang
Oh wow, maybe overpriced Glock clones aren't as sound as the real thing which is what, half the price? If Chuck Taylor puts 100k through one, I might trust it. Odd variances in the tolerances on non-oem parts seems to be most the clones' issues.
124 runs too
Yes, shadow systems are SO, SO with certain types of manufacturers ammo. One: 124 grain or higher is a plus to run. 2nd: from what they dont me, i was having issues with ( fiocchi) ammo. They told me that even they themselves had issues with fiocchi and Winchester ammo. They use a harder primer. Once i witch back to federal 124 grain and now i run palmetto state armory IACC 124 grain ammo. Ive had ( 0! ) issues so far. Ive shot 300 rounds of palmetto state IACC 124 grain. No issues. That all said. I only shot 124 grain or higher and stay away from ammo companies that use harder primers.
I own a shadow systems that is very ammo specific. I bought it for a edc pistol. With its picky ness, it has become a safe queen, and I went back to carrying a Glock that eats what's its fed. shadow systems screwed up a working system.
@perrygarnett7556 good morning, perry. I wouldn't say screwed up. I'm sure in the months to come. They will tweek that issue. According what shadow systems told me. They had issue with Winchester and Fiocchi ammo. They use a harder primer than our company's. I've been shooting palmetto state armory IACC ammo. 👌 like a top now. And my defense ammo running fine In it. I'm sure they'll work that issue out
@@jamesdelong6401 just being straight up with you sir. I own Glocks and I own 2 other glock clones besides my mr920. They all will shoot the ammo that the mr920 refuses to shoot. I can also run the ammo through other 9mm pistols with no issue. The only pistol I own that doesn't go bang every time I pull the trigger is my mr920. It absolutely sucks because I like the fit and finish of the pistol, but I can't carry a gun that won't perform. Also once they figure out they can't fix your pistol their customer service is awful.
@@perrygarnett7556 I've got 2-MR920's, an XR920, a CR920, a Gen 4 G17, a Gen 4 G41 MOS, and a Gen 5 G19MOS. I had 2 failures to go into battery using the slide release with the XR920 in the first magazine when new; other than that, all of the Shadow Systems guns I own have been 100% through several thousand rounds of whatever I've fed them. Magtech, Fiocchi, Blazer brass, Federal, and Winchester whited box all a mix of 124 and 115 gr. They eat everything just like my Glocks...
Ppl stay buying cheap ammunition and then complain about qc…
There are jamming issues with these guns all over UA-cam. I don’t own one, but I can tell you this issue with shadow system being excruciatingly picky with the type of ammunition it cycles well is a problem you will see all over UA-cam
Where? I’ve ran everything I can get my hands on through mine with zero issues.
Slide that light back Lol 😂
It is
You said the same thing twice in a row…
I lubed the crap out of my dr920 during breakin and never had a single failure. Runs flawless 600 rounds in.
It runs great now. Had a lot of issues in the beginning
They say in the manual we all receive there's a break in period. Idk why yall keep posting the same content when its already been spoken and proven.
