I have been using Lifeproof Fre Cases for years long. Now when I’m about to get the new iPhone 16 Pro Max and as Lifeproof is not available yet for it, I was looking for another competitor for Lifeproof. It turned out for me that I found a particular feature with the Ghostek Nautical 4 something that I never was able to get from Lifeproof Fre Cases: Back Clear/Transparent to show the iPhone color and even with better price then the very expensive Lifeproof Fre Cases. Glad that I found my option to go with my new phone. Very good video !

@@YouGottaWatch The built-in screen protector was an install in another video to show how easy the process is. I didn't want to remove it because I will be reviewing other cases with that dummy device. The purpose of that is to show that it is case friendly, not just with UAG cases but other cases from other companies. So when you use either one of these cases that I reviewed from? Ghostek, you can choose to go with the built-in one or leave whatever it is that's on your display. Just make sure you test out the touch response before using. It should work though.

Just got the Nautical Slim for my 16 PM and I love it! My only complaints are the camera button can only be pressed; you can’t swipe on it to zoom, and there are no actual magnets in the tail part of the MagSafe ring on the back. The little metal buttons are my favorite part; they feel very nice to press and are click-y.
The new zoom button was my main question, and also how it can be waterproof when theres still holes when the flap is sealed, figured water can get in that way thru those holes
@ like lifeproof they recommend you test it first by submerging it in water for a little bit and then checking the inside for any water leakage and mine was def still dry inside after that
How does the new camera zoom button work with this case where you can slide finger over it to zoom in and out…cant imagine it works as intended with a waterproof case. And i struggle with either having more screen protection for drops and reg case with tempered glass or having full waterproof ability

I was recently in Mexico, was swimming in a cenote and learned my iphone 14 Pro Max wasn't as water resistant as claimed. I was told that the resistance fades over time, due to drops, seals getting old, etc. I want something with very, VERY good drop protection (like the Mous case I had) as well as good water resistance. I'm thinking about buying this one, but apparently, the camera button doesn't work when you slide your finger over it, only when you press it. I'd love to see a video where they also show how well it handles drops.
I have this case for the pixel 8 and the lens cover for camera will get scratched up and cause focus issues with camera. Will probably have to take off because all pics look like ass now and trying to do video it wont even focus.
@@Keiah2Technical I usually start with family, friends and co workers. I would love to send a lot of these out by mail but, that ends up being costly. Occasionally I send out to non-youtubers who I have connection with, that could use a case or two.
It’s a pity this “product review” didn’t actually cover some obvious aspects which would be of interest to someone considering purchasing it such as: 1) How easy is the phone to use when wet (e.g. the touch screen) 2) How easy the phone is to use in the case (e.g are the side buttons easy to use); 3) How photos come out when taken through the case; (e.g. is there any blurriness) 4) When the phone is in the case but is NOT in water, is the sound impacted (e.g. can other people hear you on a call, and can you hear them). 5) Whether the case is actually waterproof. There wasn’t even a test showing the case submerged in water once there was actually a phone in the case.
In the beginning of the video, I mention that the device that I'm using, is a dummy device It is not the actual smartphones. there's no way that I could have tested those areas out. Some of these companies want these reviews out as quick as possible before launch? That's where the dummy devices come into play.

I’ve heard of “seasoning” a cast iron pan but how does one “season” a phone case? Also, animation is something that moves, those drawings/icons/diagrams on the side of the package are not animated.
I have had an absolutely impossible time getting mine to fully seal and after watching your video, I suspect it’s the screen portrait. I guess I’ll have to search for a thinner one 🫠

@ there is a little plastic layer over the speaker and mic holes but if you have the charger port door open it’s not waterproof

Anyone notice any interference with the camera? Or does it work the same as if it had no lens cover?
