Tips for surviving in a shooting: 1. Don't cry or scream that will just lead them to you. 2. When calling 911 immediately clearly state that's its a shooting, how many shooters there are, and what school it is. 3. Keep calls as short as possible as noise from there end will also lead the shooter to you. 4. Play dead. (This has surprisingly been shown to work) 5. Pray (but in your head not out loud.)

Again, if the shooter is in the room, you're going to die, and you're not going to say goodbye to your loved ones, or make peace with it.
Having a team like this teach real police and real SWAT how to handle a shooter has no cons and a lot of pros. The Uvalde shooting took many lives. 376 officers were "involved" and they were "scared" of a single teenager, resulting in a mission that didn't even start. When people talk about police reform, this is part of what they mean. Training is literally a matter of life and death.
Really tough stuff. I remember right after parkland my high school got five school shooter threats within the rest of the year. Four were false but one was prevented. A boy I sat near every day was arrested before he even set foot on campus. This stuff was my living fear, was terrified to go to school, only glad I graduated because I got out. Sixth grade was ages ago but I still remember recieving the information that an armed man hopped the fence to my elementary school. I had a substitute that day, and she did everything to keep me calm as we and three others hid behind a large table. We sat in the dark for an hour and I remember hearing the police stack right in front of our door shouting at the dude to get the fuck down, I was so relieved. A kid, relieved she wouldnt die in school that day. Fucked. No one was hurt because miraculously everyone was present within their classroom all at the exact same time, no bathroom breaks or errands ran at that moment, so the school bunkered down the moment the intruder was spotted, and the police tackled that loser 5 to 1. Every day I'm thankful for the men and women who put their lives on the line to help protect the innocent from threats like this. Its important to talk about, language is important. I've suffered with the fear but I choose the relief of knowing I can trust that theres brave folks who have our backs. @@Appreciation-Community Yep, and all because schools don't take the mental health of their students or faculty all that seriously. That's the number one reason why these horrible acts occur. I had a kid in my year during my senior year who was going to carry out a shooting, and only got stopped because the school caught wind of it and apprehended him before he was prepared. He was going to do it because he was abused in a not so fun way by a teacher and nobody believed him, so he was going to take it out on those he deemed complicit in the act. Wild shit, and unfortunately common. The fact he got his hands on a firearm wasn't even the fault of his family or a gun store employee who lacked vigilance. He got one illegally and it had been illegally modified to shoot full-auto.
This really reminds me of the Columbine case. The 911 call is very chilling and the girl on the phone at the end of the intro where she sadly got killed reminds me of one of the victims irl at Columbine, she was also hiding under the desk but sadly she got found out, shot and killed by the shooter while saying "peekaboo!" Really really sickening and traumatic... I'm so sorry I don't mean any disrespect. Wish all the law enforcements the very best of luck to protect innocent people from any sickening, evil, and just plain random weirdness our dark world could produce. Oh and thanks for the video! Can pretty much say alot of this missions was based on the shooting which makes it even more real.
I enjoy seeing Glid in the Ready or Not games (and some others). He certainly makes these games enjoyable by being tactical and coordinated. That's how it is and how it's got to be done.
I just realized a library would be a great place to hide. Bullets go through drywall fairly easy, but you'd be surprised how a few books can stop rounds. Especially pistol rounds.

I worked for a career fire department for awhile, spent 4 years as a Driver/Operator before moving to begin a career with the Forest Service where I work now. Ready Or Not captures so much of the horrors first responders truly face on a regular basis and also some of the more extreme scenarios some agencies are faced with. I can count myself fortunate that we never had to activate our Rescue Task Force with the Sheriff's Office outside of drills (RTF's are integration of fire/rescue personnel with patrol officers to evacuate the injured while SWAT seeks out and neutralizes the suspect. Patrol officers providing security while fire/rescue personnel do a quick ABC check before moving a patient, keeps Medics and EMT's out so they can focus on transport.) That being said, even though I haven't worked one, the sound of cellphones ringing in that map definitely take me back to many fatal incidents I worked where cellphones of the deceased were ringing. My friends who work as in dispatch that play with me from time to time can't listen to the audio for most of the missions but especially this one, it just causes so much pain for them as the voice acting is on point. Great game, great content, keep doing what y'all are doing.
I like that the perpetrators in this game are actually like what you'd see irl instead of in something like COD or Battlefield, where it would likely be some generic Middle Eastern terror network. I understand the subject matter of this level is absolutely horrific, I graduated 2020 so I remember doing drills, and I remember people being terrified. Americas gun problem is abysmal. I’m glad ready or not had the balls to tackle it. HOWEVER, this level sucks gameplay wise. Being unable to lose a single civilian is just not realistic and is hard AF, I have yet to do it non lethaly. S rank is almost impossible. Also having to detain every civilian is crazy, how many mass shootings end up with civilians in hand cuffs, it just doesn’t make sense
The civie AI doesn't distinguish what side has been cleared, it just looks for the closest exit. And I believe as they have already been "saved" they don't trigger a response from hostile AI.
Ughh again the content was 🔥 I love what you're doing and I would like to see videos abaut a game called project reality it's an old milsim game but so good and free
Tbh I don't think that letting civis go to the exit on their own like that is a good idea, they might accidentaly run into an active shooter while doing that. Just sharing my opinion, because I don't know much about police tactics

I don’t know how to say this as a guy. But your voice is perfect 🫡🥲😂
Thank you @raycharles1887
I understand the subject matter of this level is absolutely horrific, I graduated 2020 so I remember doing drills, and I remember people being terrified. Americas gun problem is abysmal. I’m glad ready or not had the balls to tackle it. HOWEVER, this level sucks gameplay wise. Being unable to lose a single civilian is just not realistic and is hard AF, I have yet to do it non lethaly. S rank is almost impossible. Also having to detain every civilian is crazy, how many mass shootings end up with civilians in hand cuffs, it just doesn’t make sense
This is a great comment brother thank you for sharing 👍🏼
The 911 call reminds me of the song chin check by NWA
love the video but youtube mightve hated your title since it didnt show up in search at all and I had to go to your channel to watch this
Maybe its time to download that game again
The Roleplay is crazy
17:10 Bro's deadass sending civvies out as bait into uncleared areas
It's a active shooter scenario you send people out of the building as first priority you moron.. bro knows what he is doing.
The civie AI doesn't distinguish what side has been cleared, it just looks for the closest exit. And I believe as they have already been "saved" they don't trigger a response from hostile AI.
A other amazing video keep up with the amazing work glid and we stand together
Always!
Damn that intro is heavy
Ughh again the content was 🔥 I love what you're doing and I would like to see videos abaut a game called project reality it's an old milsim game but so good and free
Appreciate the comment
School shooting from 2009 to 2018
1st place (USA) :288
2nd place (Mexico): 8
That’s 36 times more.
Brutal
Ready or Not 1.0 Do be looking nice.
It does, it really does !
Tbh I don't think that letting civis go to the exit on their own like that is a good idea, they might accidentaly run into an active shooter while doing that. Just sharing my opinion, because I don't know much about police tactics
Love ludi cause his south Africa keep up the good content mate
Glid was born in Cape Town 👊🏼

@@GLIDGaming good point. So, new question. Do you do these mulyiple times and upload the best one, or is it just one take?
