In retrospect this was a bit early. I mean biden lost way over 90% of his arizona lead with remaining count - largely because arizona mail in voters tended to be Trump leaning that's why this analysis was bad.

Trump wouldn't have had an easy win by any means - but it was still too close to call (projections generally mean you can be confident a candidate cannot catch up -. If the remaining vote had tilted even slightly further in Trump's favor he was the winner)

@@yovtobe Again, that final margin is irrelevant. The analyst did not say by how much Biden was going to win Arizona -- he simply said that Biden was going to get more votes than Trump. He weighed all of the evidence and then predicted, CORRECTLY, that Biden would take Arizona's Electoral Votes.

In retrospect we know that Trump supporters avoided polls and lied to pollsters in great numbers and it swayed the odds. In any event, saying that Hillary Clinton had a 71% chance of winning the 2016 election does not mean that it was out of left field that Trump won.
Now when it came to the prediction of Biden winning Arizona, it was based on what the actual votes were showing:
a) Biden had a sizeable lead
b) Trump would have had to heavily outperform existing percentages with the remaining votes to overtake Biden
c) and as we now know...Trump DID outperform expectations with the remaining votes and STILLwas not enough to bridge the gap.
This was such a glorious moment during the election result count

Actually, you can. we've been doing it for decades. Once it's called, there's enough confidence that it never turns around. pre-election polls can be wrong, but once a race is called on election night it's a done deal.

The states certify their vote totals at the end of November and start of December, if you'd like to wait until then to make up your own mind.

Because Fox News accurately called Arizona for Biden? Everyone is welcome to their own opinion, and I have no problem with people preferring commentary that aligns with what they believe, but facts are still facts.
Looking at AZ they have roughly 600,000 votes to be counted at 84%. 150K are reported to be mail-in voting, and the other 450,000 coming from rural communities.

The remaining votes are mainly mail-in votes, which are going to a huge percentage to Biden, because Trump Supporters mainly voted in person.

I keep losing track of what states Trump wants to continue counting in and what states he wants the count to be stopped, to be honest.
Votes should be ironclad. We should have a system that people can login to an account and not only verify that they voted but who the vote was registered for. The President is entitled to the full extent of the law like everyone else.
