Hey, isn't that what Weinstein said about growing up in the 60s and 70s? As far as Frontline can show me, he was merely acting according to his (tasteless and scummy) values. Only one woman was actually physically assaulted against her will, and even after begging her again to come up to his room, he still does not forcefully pull her into his room and actually rape her, he instead frustratingly tells her goodbye. Every woman interviewed in this documentary reveals the same story of him basically giving it up. Times have changed alright, but facts will always remain facts.

There was one accuser who had long since left the show business. She was a model back then, but now works as a real estate agent or something. She obviously doesn't have a PR agent and hasn't been coached on what to say. And instead of saying "he made me massage him" or "he went down on me against my will" like the other accusers did, she just said "I performed oral sex on him in his office", which is probably closer to the truth of what was going on in those hotel rooms.

Why is Oprah Winfrey never mentioned in these documentaries? She was a good friend of Harvey Weinstein. I remember a story of Oprah with a young woman who wanted to be an actress, it even showed a short tape of this. Then Harvey walks out to surprise the young woman who was of course caught off guard and very excited because he was going to give her a shot at stardom. Oprah was all smiles and she had to have heard the stories going around about his behavior being a powerful person herself but remained his friend until at least the allegations were proven to be true. I don’t know about now but has certainly distanced herself from him never mentioning his name. I just wonder whatever happened to that poor young woman Oprah set her up with meeting this POS. Sociopaths tend to rise to the top in any organization. Also, little known is that sociopaths prefer to promote other sociopaths, giving them amoral loyalists as their lieutenants and guards. Once empowered, surrounded by loyal sociopath underlings, with organizational and personal resources--they become difficult to assail, nearly unaccountable. Women such as those abused by Harvey simply need to swallow their laughable feminist pride, admit they can't lead or organize effective resistance, and find a man who can lead and organize against such abusers. Feminism and its illusions have made women easier prey than ever to the Harvey-monsters of the world.

So the first woman Katherine in this documentary chooses to get a ride home with Harvey and decides to go into his apartment with him. These stories are ridiculous.
These people are not naive children but grown adults. They have buyers remorse.
Sean Young ruined her own career. She was mentally unhinged. It was because of her behavior in the early 90s. Sean wanted to play Cat Woman in Tim Burton's Batman Returns but Burton didn't want her. So Sean starts dressing up as Cat Woman in public an in interviews she did professing she is the real Cat Woman. Her career went down hill after that.
A lot of them had consensual sex with him to break into the business. I am sure they didn't want to but they certainly chose to.

I truly believe that this is what happens when people get too much money and too much power. They have enough money to buy anything and they start to get bored, so they start looking towards untouchable people and situations in order to fulfill cravings of having everything at any cost. Which I imagine, turns into an obsessive pursuit of anything they deem they can’t have or can’t do. Which includes sexual misconduct, and I am wondering how many times that that obsession turns into… I wonder what it would be like to kill somebody? With a never ending appetite to experience everything and anything that a human being can, both good and bad, simply for the fact of feeling it, doing it and seeing it. Feeling as if their money and power puts them above any suspicion.
It’s crazy and you can see that most of these people that have that money and power obviously have a horrible case of obsessive compulsive disorder, along with narcissistic personalities that got them where they are. Which I imagine, only grow worse with the more money and more power they possess. The good thing is, one by one they are being caught. Epstein and Weinstein, have been called out by their peers which created a domino effect, not only in the entertainment industry, but all industries. Giving women and men who have experienced these situations the bravado to step out and talk about their own stories. Which is an awesome thing.

@@victoriabernuth9728 I appreciate that. Yeah, I’m sure there’s different circumstances that can cause different people to act this way. I do notice though, that money, and power can drive people to do stupid things just for the sake of being able to do stupid things. What they don’t understand is that they would feel so much better and happier if they took some of that money, like the people you talked about above… And helped others out. I love giving a homeless person $20. Why? Because I love to see smiles on peoples faces. the thing is, I don’t care what they spend it on. If they go and buy drugs, and they are happy for those few minutes, they are high… That’s their prerogative and if that’s what makes them happy, then, so be it. It’s not my position to tell them how to spend that money. I would much rather they buy food, or use it to better their situation… But, as long as they’re happy, I don’t care. Nothing tickles me more than to get a reaction that I wasn’t expecting from one of these people. Whether that be a big hug, big smile, or they go out of their way to thank me. I even had one guy go and get himself something to eat at the local convenience store and took some of the money that I gave him to get me a thank you card. which made me smile, but also made me cry that he went out of his way to do so.
The feeling that anybody can get from helping anybody do anything is much more incredible than any amount of money. Almost like winning a happiness lottery. Sometimes letting me know that there are still good. People left in this world amongst this fast, rat race, social media driven society we live. It’s easy to get discouraged, because sometimes you try to help and it backfires. Some people seemingly born to be hateful and negative. But every once in a while, you come across that shining star that makes the hard times you go through worth it.
I wish you the very best and as I say to anybody who will listen: live life every day like it’s your last, love like it’s your first.

I am quiet certain this will go on in a while. Only now it gets a bit lower until the publicity has become old news.

To all the victims/Survivors of Sexual Assault and Sexual Abuse: Thank you for having the courage to speak up and against sexual assault. It is upsetting that some of the comments are of criticizing you for getting money from Weinstein but that is a part of justice to be compensated for the psychological harm done to you. It will never undo the harm but you have the right to be compensated for all the high costs of therapy that you have needed and will need to try to put the pieces of your life back together. I am so sorry for all those uncompassionate comments and uncalled for accusations you are enduring at the cruelty of others. I am so sorry that we live in a culture and society that is not showing you and other women and victims the respect you all deserve by not even acknowledging the important things you have to say. I respect your voice and for you using it to speak up against evil. I am also sorry that others are indifferent and disrespectful to not acknowledge the power of your words, voice and opinions.
God Bless you and all survivors of sexual assault and other demeaning mistreatment. You all did not deserve that. NO ONE deserves to mistreated like that. May God/Jesus heal you and all others who has ever been sexually abused. May God/Jesus give all victims/survivors perfect justice and perfect healing of perfect wholeness, of His Perfect Shaloam Peace and may God/Jesus grant you all His Perfect Joy and Restoration to Be and Feel Safe and Secure and Free and to feel and be Cherished, Protected, Honored, Respected, Beloved in a Healthy and Safe Way, etc.
May you all be Believed, Stood up for, Advocated for and May the Legal Law work For you to procure Justice and May you and all others be safe from these Predators from now on. May God/Yahweh/Jesus/the Holy Spirit Give you all “ BEAUTY FOR ASHES”. - Isaiah 61:3

At time stamp in this video, 33:29 - my ex landlord did and said the same thing when i came to pay my rent. When i stepped in to his office, he locked his office door with us both inside the office. He then blocked me from the door while he said the exact same thing that weinstein did to this poor woman. He said it all, while unzippering his pants and grabbing my hand. I pulled away and said everything i could to get out of that office unscathed. It was not easy. I firmly said what i had to (repeatedly) and i was not violent but i was not nice. He made me feel stupid and helpless. He actually threatened me for MY behavior! He was a very rich and powerful man that was introduced to me by my own lawyer. I lived on my own with my two children. I was in constant fear of his approach. This was in the late 80s. No one gave a crap and my own father didn't believe me when i told him what happened and that i wanted to move to get out of a dangerous living situation. "But 'so and so' wouldn't do that!" And "What did you do to encourage him?" Was what i got! Another landlord also did the same thing to me in the 70s -he was in his 60s and i was barely 18! That guy showed up in my bedroom one day - i didnt even know who he was! My roommate just treated the incident like it was somethingvwe just had to put up with in the slum we paid rent for. I never said a word again after each incident because of the way i got treated by anyone i told (except my ex roommate who got the sane treatment from the man as i did). Women OR men always treated me like i should either be flattered, or like i did something to encourage this predatory behavior or that i should just 'get over it.
Finally I just moved on and and tried to "get over it". I actually never got over it. I lived in fear of landlords showing up unannounced and cornering me. It took me a long time to feel a modicum of safety. I felt helpless, frightened and on edge all the time.
Both landlords are now dead of old age. They got to live their wealthy lives without consequences. I never had a chance of telling my story in a court of law and being taken seriously. I never got the chance to stop them from repeating the predatory behavior with some other young innocent women. I still dont feel safe. Everyone knew what creeps these men were, yet nobody stopped them, andci was powerless to do the same.
