Providing high quality health care for women and children

Many of the research projects in the Innovating for Maternal and Child Health in Africa (IMCHA) initiative explored ways to improve the quality of care in health facilities. IMCHA projects contributed to improving the availability of supplies and equipment in health facilities, strengthening the skills of health providers, as well as building leadership and governance to address maternal and child health issues. IMCHA also contributed to improving the quality of services and communication between health facilities and the communities they serve.
