- We spent a month, island hopping French Polynesia. We visited the Society, Tuamotu and Austral Islands. This Vlog is from Moorea, one of my favorite places in the world.

I have just discovered that my GGG Grandfather, Jeremiah Downs Armitage was born to Missionaries in 1833, in Papetoai on the island...
I'm so excited to now have found this beautiful place and God willing, I'll be able to see it one day!

thanks! we have 2 underwater dslr cameras. a canon 6d with sea & sea housing that i've had for quite some time but still takes great still photos. and also a panasonic gh5 that i use for underwater video sometimes 👍🏼📷
This vlog was everything. Humorous, insightful, great editing, and omg the hike! I want to do it but how long/difficult was it?
thank you! definitely worth doing the hike. Tips: #1get a guide. i can give you the name of the guy we used. #2 dont do the hike if it has rained the day before. ideally 2 dry days before you hike. otherwise very slippery. i forget how long the hike was... maybe 4-5 hours total? but not incredibly difficult. give it a try!

Hi, I am planning my trip to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora bora on 7- 19 January 2020 for my honeymoon. I have already book for Tahiti from 7-10 Jan. Now I’m left with Moorea and Bora-Bora. How should I split between the two islands?
What month were you in Moorea!? Waterfall in your video was flowing much more than when we were there.
The waterfalls here are strong if there is a lot of rain the week before. Which is very variable. Even in the rainy season, they can be low. It's a matter of luck arriving at the right time...
Where did you see all those sharks and fishes? We did not see anything close to that.

How long would you recommend to stay in Papeete? Also, how much does the Papeete to Moorea ferry cost? Enjoyed the video!
I would spend a maximum of two days in Papeete. Depends on how long your trip is really. The shorter the trip, the less time you spend in PPT! I think the ferry is something in the ballpark of $20 (don’t remember exactly). Glad you liked the video 🥳. Enjoy. It’s an amazing place. One of my favorites

you can rent the boat at the "Les Tipaniers" hotel. do it. Its great fun!

How many days should you stay to fully experience Moorea?
it depends..atleast a week!
it is really not recommended to go under a such waterfall ! rock tends to fall into the stream and it could potentially cause a lot of damage ! many people died from such accidents over the world ! happy that nothing happened ! but do not recommend doing such ! you said the water hurts ! try to imagine a one-inch rock on top of your head in the stream ! you guys stay safe !!

What were the prices like at the grocery store?
dont remember exactly, but quite a bit higher than in the USA. 👍🏼
More for imported items, but local things such as line caught tuna, coconuts, the famous Moorea pineapples are an incredible deal. The tuna is sushi grade and comes in chunks as large as pork tenderloin for $10. Eat as much of the local foods as you can.

Thanks man! All I was finding at the ferry drop off was an Avis car rental. Good to know I have other options right off the ferry
