Just bought an SX Prestige. It’s fantastic. Never owned a KIA until now. Exceeded expectations for my family of 4. KIA is definitely stepping it up from what they were 5-10 years ago.
I have an SX-Prestige reserved and scheduled to arrive in 2 weeks. The entire reason I wanted it was for the panoramic dual 12.5" displays. Do they live up to the hype? Also, how's it drive?
@@JaredC63 this car is basically a Benz with a few minor features missing, rides smooth, very luxurious and very very comfortable. People can’t stop looking at it on the road. I love it. I have the XPro prestige AWD in Green
@@M.A.R.I.O.V. Hell yeah! I've had my ebony black SX Prestige for 3 weeks now and have been loving it. Me, the wife, and our twin toddlers took it on a 2,500 road trip 2 days after I got it and it performed beautifully. The extra cargo space and leg room compared to my Lincoln MKC made all the difference too. We didn't even have to use the Thule which made everything that much easier. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase

My 2023 Kia Sportage EX was delivered to me on 4-4-23 and I love it, and it's my first time purchasing a Kia.
I just bought a 2023 X-Pro, I love it. I was an 237K Toyota Highlander owner. Long list of costly maintenance repairs urged me to look, and RAV4 had me committed. Then I cross shopped Kia, Sportage won 🥇, better styling, better features, better feel, better warranty, & better pricing. I’m loving my Kia. Good Job Kia.

Just bought our Sportage XLine two months ago and love it. Great features, great ride and just a quality vehicle. The one complaint is lack of power. That needs to be upgraded for sure.
I bought an SX Prestige two weeks ago, I love mines. It gets a lot of attention on the road.
Well let’s think about my comment gif a minute, yes I have to keep my eyes on the road BUT ppl that pull up next to me either right or left get my attention & tell me whatever they have to say concerning the vehicle. Simple!

I’ve purchased my X-Pro 10 days ago and I love it. Wish it had passed the 200 HP mark for better pull off acceleration but otherwise it’s 🔥🎯👍🏾👊🏾
I've been in LOVE with the upcoming Lexus NX... so much so that I didn't even know this had debuted.. With everything this is equipped with, and the, basically guaranteed, lower price-point.. The last thing I have left to question is reliability before going with this over the Lexus. Wild what KIA is bringing.

So funny, I'm in the exact same boat as you. Followed the NX for so long but was disappointed when I finally drove it because the interior materials were pretty bad. The gearbox didn't shift when it was supposed to, it held gears for too long.. And it's a lot more expensive... I drove the Kia yesterday and today, probably going to order a lease tomorrow

Great review, but the Sportage is not a sub compact suv. Its a compact. The Kia Seltos is the sub compact.
We questioned that too, BrownnZenn Movement, but Kia still refers to it as subcompact. We had to inquire due to its increase in size. Thanks for watching!
I’m so confused about how some people already bought/have this car in the comments. I called some nearby dealerships and they said they have no idea when they’re getting it this year. Perhaps because of the shortage? They weren’t clear. And the Kia website says it’s not available yet.
I bought mines two weeks ago at one of the local Kia dealerships near me in Orlando, Fl. They had a few in stock as well as the other dealerships nearby as well.
Went to the dealership today for a oil change on my 2017 base Soul with almost 80k miles. Walked out with a 2023 Sportage EX. WOW. A little negotiation and the 2015 Soul, paid 26k out the door. Dealership wanted $4100 for a 10/100k warranty. Electronics are covered for 3 years. It's a computer on four wheels. I have 48 hours to decide on the warranty before the price goes up.
Some poor choices were made on standard features. Competitors have lane keep and adaptive cruise as standard, but the Sportage only has adaptive cruise on the top trim, SX Prestige. Better off going with the Hyundai Tucson, however, strange thing to note is that the Tucson doesn’t come with parking sensors but the Sportage does. Why did they do this??

Sometimes stuff like this can happen with all-new vehicles, STEVEN BARR. Thankfully, they caught it early before it became more of an inconvenience and hopefully you'll have many trouble-free years once you take delivery. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

LFA is NOT standard on all trims! I just bought an X-Line with the premium package. It does not have lane follow assist. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love my new car.
If you have a 2023 it is. Even the Kia Website states it. So either yu don't have 2023 or are not aware of what you have for options.

1. Is yur vehicle 2023?
2. Is your vehicle in USA?
3. Does your steering wheel buttons on right side: have a button with a pictorial of a Steering wheel with lines on each side?
If the answer is no to any of the above:
1. Did you make a compalint to your dealer?
2. Did you file a claim at Kia Customer Care?
@@rcairflr no you don’t. Not all Sportages have LFA. Maybe do some research. KIA used a radar plate that’s on the front grill. I don’t answer questions by people that think they known things they don’t know about.

Really.. I am looking into buying a 2022 Honda Accord until I seen the 2023 Kia Sportage. Ms. Taylor is this a brand new 2023 Kia Sportage with transmission problem in 3 weeks, what were the signs and what the dealership said. I am not into Kia cars but the 2023 Sportage made me consider at the beautiful body style. I been doing my research and lots of videos until I seen your comment. Please respond. Thank you.
I had mine for 3 months, still drives as good as when i bought it, no issues so far
All this talk about the bells and whistles is nice. However, most people who require reliable engines want to know about the possible problems that we might be buying. Spend more time on the important things.
In case you didn't realize, Chris, this is not a review. This video was literally a first look in a studio before the car was in production. How would we talk about such specifics without even driving the car? Thanks for watching anyway.
@AutoAcademics I see. So the videos I see on UA-cam from other people are simply about the technology and looks of the vehicles they are talking. I honestly didn't realize that fact. I'm 63 and out of touch I guess. Lol I know with a little research that I could probably find out about the past problems of specific engine myself. I've been looking to buy a new suv so that is why I've been checking out these videos. No further need to. Thanks for your reply.
What trim is this??
The white car was the SX Prestige and the green was the X-Pro Prestige. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
sub-compact? What is a compact then. This is just 10 inches shorter than an explorer. Sub-compact? What is a Geo Metro?
We agree. Cars are getting larger and Kia still classifies the 2023 Sportage as a subcompact, clbcl5. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

A 2023 Explorer is 199 inches long, a 2023 Kia Sportage is 184 inches long. Are you using modern math? My math says 15 inches.

The rear to me looks a bit incomplete especially in that white shade.
Kia's definitely been pushing th design boundaries lately, Kadeen Hunter, so we applaud them for that. With regards to the rear end, we'll wait to see it outside in the sun before making a final judgement. Many times angles present themselves better that way, especially in white. Buy a model made in Korea. The engines from the U.S. plant have been blowing up and/or catching fire.
Please give a link to where the 2023 2.5 liter engines are catching fire. I cannot find anything on the 2.5 liter catching fire

Brand new redesign yet NO WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO OR APPLE CARPLAY on the higher trim, bigger than 8 inch screens ? Crazy, deal breaker. But higher trims have wireless qi charging pads?
Who needs wireless charging when you have to plug in for AA and ACP anyway? Pointless. All GMs, BMW and several others have wireless across the board. shame, otherwise a great redesign
We have to assume the 8 in. screen works more similarly to the previous-gen system so it was simple to integrate the wireless connectivity, malidawgz. And sometimes the challenges come from Apple or Google and not the car manufacturers. We've seen these delays before from other OEMs. Even GM took a bit to integrate (wired) Android Auto and/or Apple CarPlay in all their vehicles when the apps were first available. And BMW made you pay extra for wireless Apple CarPlay when it first came out. (Not sure if they still do.) Hopefully, it won't take Kia long to get it integrated in the higher trims. If it does, then we'll hold them accountable. We appreciate your comments, though. 👍🏾 Thanks for watching!
Most buyers will buy the base or mid level trim. So having that standard is a smart marketing strategy to lure buyers who is on a budget.. Whereas, some of their competitors like Honda and Toyota, offers it only on higher trims or simply don't offer wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto alone. But on the flip side, Kia/Hyundai offers the biggest infotainment size in it's class..Im sure Kia/Hyundai will make it standard across the board on all trims in refresh models.
I've never been in a Kia or Hyundai that didn't sound like it was trying to blow itself up

These ppl r full of it. What they selling at high end line is what I’ve had at entry level with my Elantra. These vehicles are overpriced and overrated because they high end trim comes with a hood prop which is sooo 1995. I have a hydraulic hood on my sonata. Heated seats heated steering wheel. I guess I didn’t know what I have until it’s gone. These new vehicles are a disgrace. High end vehicles with hood prop chiiile no.

Great review but I just can't get over how fugly it looks, as if kia just tossed everything at the drawing board and called it a sportage...
Nothing fugly about it 😮mine is in Sapphire Blue and super sharp looking. I get tons of compliments
