😂😂 I just learned from you that our country tried to copy your country but failed.
I believe there are many other Filipinos who do not have the same thoughts as you, and I still love those fellow Filipinos as before.
I believe that Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and other ASEAN countries trying to develop their own country In order to continue to have successful results such as GDP Per capita or overall happiness of people in the country. Even though it is still not as good as developed countries.
I am confident that my friends from Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand will never imitate you in terms of the overall achievements mentioned above.
And I still love many Filipino friends who have different ideas from you And I would like to encourage my fellow Filipinos to develop their country to greater success in the near future.

My friend, as a black american,(small caps meant) I can relate to your pride in Your country Brother (caps meant). Your country has gone thru much trial and tribulations from other countries. Yet, you stand tall. A lot of the countries you mentioned are basicall CLOSED SOCIETIES. The Filipino is a mixed people much like my own...with many shared cultures and views, way more cosmopolitian. By being so, your interest are varied and deep. It has contributed to the kind and open hearts of the Filipino people. Most black americans come from a mixed background. There are similarities. I think one of your commenters stated that this took time to develop. It's true that the essence of the Filipino people is hard won, undeniable and such a blessing to the world whom could learn much from your people. Cooperate decisions can't duplicate that. Peace Brother

WE FILIPINOS DON'T HAVE INTENTIONS TO COMPETE WITH OTHER NATIONS. IT JUST HAPPENED THAT THIS IS THE WAY WE WORK AND IT HAS BEEN NOTICE AND RECOGNISED GLOBALLY.
IF OTHERS WANT TO FOLLOW WHAT WE ARE DOING OR ACHIEVED, IT MEANS THAT THEY WERE CONSIDERING US AS A MODEL FOR THEM TO FOLLOW AND ITS NOT BAD.
BECAUSE WE FILIPINOS IN NATURE ARE HARD WORKING AND DOING OUR BEST AND GIVING ALL THE BEST THAT WE CAN TO MAKE THE JOB WELL DONE.
WE ARE DOING OUR JOBS NOT FOR A COMPETITION. JUST WE ARE DOING OUR JOBS AS A FILIPINO PEOPLE.
WE LOVE YOU ALL, FROM THE PHILIPPINES ❤❤🇵🇭❤❤

The English language is the number one hurdle for none speaking English countries. Secondly, the accent. Pilipinos have accents too but much easier to understand than some of the neighboring countries. Thirdly, hospitality and respect is natural to Pilipinos. Fourth, Education. Most Pilipinos are not rich but parents send their kids to school. We believe education will take us out of poverty. This trend is engraved in our hearts. Thank God our sacrifices resulted in the progress of our country.

Not only Filipino nurses are in demand but also Medical Technologists. The curricula for Nursing and Medical Technologies are almost the same in the United States. Remember the Philippines was colonized by USA and that means the subjects from elementary to college are patterned after the United States. The medium of instruction in the Philippines is English. Thanks to the United States because of the Americans who colonized the Philippines , they built schools and taught the Filipinos the 3 R’s namely : writing, reading and arithmetic. The Americans has a very strong influence in the Philippines in education, buildings, government institutions , Supreme Courts , music and much more.

I'm a 64-year-old Filipino-American born and raised in the Philippines, but I've been in the US for 41 years. I appreciate your click-bait attempt to entice us to become subscribers. The neutral "English accent" isn't very accurate. Embarrassingly, only about 20 percent are at best no-hard accent English speakers. "We" aren't also 100% aware of proper grammar, and I find myself having to translate to Tagalog when speaking to Philippine-based call centers. Your reasons why "my"country can't be "beat" by 15 countries can be summarized into one-third of the entire video content. If you're using an AI (Artificial Intelligence) app, consider switching to the organic PI (Permant Intelligence) one. Two minor points on Filipinos' "nosebleed" English: A. "Our" use of gender pronouns confuses others when using he/him for she/her interchangeably; B. "Our" incorrect usage of prepositions is also grossly frustrating, to say the least.
My comments are directed at no one. Bash if you must. As you think, you are.
The best reason why Filipinos are good is because of our hearts being in the right place. Hence, it trumps our language deficiency, etc. Mabuhay ang sambayanang Pilipino. 🇵🇭

This economic policy was hardly feasible fifty years ago. Before, the usual norm was to start with agriculture, then manufacturing. During those times, export of labor was unheard of. I remembered a colleagues masteral thesis of human resource export to the global market. What helped this excelence is its culture, history, values and education. This is difficult to replicate because it took decades to develop this feat!

Remember: in the case of Vietnam v the Philippines, it is unfortunate because of economic difficulties at home that Filipinos have to search greener pastures elsewhere just to support their families back home, which results in the nurse - or engineering, seamen, domestic help - diaspora. Whereas, in Vietnam, it is different. Self-sufficiency has been the key ... their labor force has made them one of Southeast Asia's manufacturing hubs for textiles, aside from in other industries. (The only professions I could cite where others try to "copy Filipinos," but fail, sadly, is when it only comes to the arts & entertainment fields. Filipinos excel in international singing competitions, as well as in beauty pageants. And trying to copy or even beat Filipinos in those categories - at least among Southeast Asians - has been challenging, at best.)

The diaspora of Filipinos, like that of many other nationalities, stems from a lack of opportunities in their home countries. Filipinos possess a strong sense of responsibility toward their families, driving them to work hard and send money home to cover basic needs and support the education of younger family members. For every overseas Filipino worker, uplifting their family is a top priority. Filipinos take great pride in their customs-love, faith, hard work, and honesty-which they carry with them abroad. These values are evident in the quality of their work and the relationships they build in their adopted communities and workplaces.

I could not help but agree with you on this one. I am a Filipino and a Nurse as well. Had work in different countries like in the Middle east and I must say the hospital where I left is struggling to hire Filipino nurses as they do not have already because most of us migrated to US canada and UK after the pandemic. Plus the fact that the Ph government sets limit on sending Filipino Nurses globally is a struggle for most employers. Now that Europe is also interested to have the Filipino nurses after the success of Germany’s hiring Ph Nurses adding to their workforce. If they want to copy us they need to be truly compassionate hardworking resilent and adapt, I think that is an important thing as that what Filipinos are known for. As per the education our Nursing Board Exam in the Philippines is tough. Next to NCLEx of US after graduation and OSCE of UK in revalidas while studying Nursing. And also studying Medicine in the Philippines is no joke. 10 yrs is short ❤🎉

As a Filipino, I don't see bad in this content as it exalts the true nature of Filipinos. But at the same time we don't compete with out neighbouring countries, we have our own unique cultures and we respect each other as southeast asians. We are just blessed with resilience, perseverance to succeed, global adaptability, good guidance and education, talents and drive to uplift the good of our country and families
Though we are hailed as good workers locally and abroad, some makes it and some failed and that does not make us any different to other nationalities.

I agree that Specialized Training programs and global accredited certifications plays a big rule of Philippines' success of generating overseas remittance BUT for me it's the people. Filipino workers and its mindset and our work ethics when we are abroad there's this kind of pride not for ourselves but for our country as well, we somehow carry that with us that in everything we do, we make sure to do our best & be responsible for the position trusted to us to handle so us not bring shame to our nation, family and onto ourselves. As an ex-OFW I worked with different nationalities before and often than not we are the ones left standing when the going gets tough & tougher! Sometimes it's frustrating coz we do absorb the workload of those colleagues who went missing in action without additional pay! Skills training and world class certifications become USELESS when the person's fortitude is not strong or developed. Perhaps the Filipinos mental fortitude is our edge than most citizens of the world. . .

This is statistically facts regarding globalization workforce of each neighboring country. Unfortunately, while other countries vomit these conquestors culture the Philippines adapted and emersed it in their culture. In the process, Filipinos were able to used it as a tool and it doesn't just happened one night it is a long LONG process to where the Philippines pioneered in training and certification in many aspect and levels of workforces. Because English Language is widely use for international conversation, Perhaps one of the advantages and we could also call it blessings in disguise factor for Philippines is, when we were colonized by the Americans for almost half the century, english language were used as a medium to teach students in schools until today. Just imagine if Americans did not come and colonize the country. Spanish Language might be the second language for Filipinos today.

What this video isn't saying is the disappointing state of the Philippines: Our number 1 export is OUR PEOPLE. With a government so corrupt and with our own industries not capable of competing with global markets, the only thing left competitive is the people. You want proof? The Philippines is the country where the International Rice Research Institute is located. And yet, recent actions by the Government has it so that in order to meet rice demands of its people, we now have to import rice from Thailand and Vietnam, neighboring countries whose rice farming techniques were developed by learning from us years ago.
Filipinos are world class? Damn right they are. Because thanks to the Marcos Government's killing of our industrial might in the 80s by giving our industry winners to oligarchs who mismanaged them, there isn't that many opportunities in the local job markets to rise out of poverty. You might as well get out of the country and earn dollars. Heck, earning $4 an hour for Americans is miserable because of the very high cost of living in the US. In the Philippines, you make $10 per DAY if you're a minimum wage earner in the capital. Give a Filipino $4 an hour, and that Filipino worker, if still single, would be buying an iPhone in a couple of months.
Filipinos from poor families want out. We want out of our shitty 3+ hours commute to and from work in a country with one of the worst traffic in the world, we want out of paying taxes for dismal services, we want out of working jobs where we do phenomenally but is paid but a tiny fraction of what our counterparts do in another side of the globe.

Ok lang Sabihin mahusay ang mga Pinoy pero wag naman at the expense of other countries/nationalities. It can elicit ill feelings towards the Filipinos from the people of those countries/nationalities that are portrayed as copycats. This is uncalled for. Ang yabang at insensitive. Hindi na kinonsider ang feeling ng ibang nationalities at ang posibleng backfire sa mga Pinoy.

Very interesting take. But consider this. Vietnamese refugees and other nationalities like Japanese and Koreans etc who became migrants in English speaking countries cant compete with Filipino migrants and English speaking locals for jobs, so what happens is that they start their own businesses and become successful entrepreneurs. After 20 years, they are the ones employing filipinos. Most (not all) of those migrants who got jobs straight away, are still working for a company and have become comfortably well off but are still salaried workers, and didnt get the skills to set up or manage their own businesses due to lack of time, as they are busy working for someone else. Filipinos should aim to be entrepreneurs and employers of other nationalities, not other nationalities' employees.
