Some people just pick up languages and different accents quicker and better than others. I’ve studied linguistics and actually wrote a paper about it and the anatomy of speaking. Sometimes u’ll find that musically inclined ppl - esp those who have perfect pitch - are also very good at repeating a foreign language sentence they’ve never learned. It’s all about picking up the correct diction, pitch, cadence and quite literally the right tune while also working out the underlying ruling system through simple theory lesson. Whether it’s the basics of music or grammar of a particular language. It’s fascinating stuff. For me at least 🙃🙏🏻🥰

Then read the newspaper, and other styles of books. Read at least 4 books. THEN. Learn the honorifics. There are in many ways 3 versions of hangul. Senior to junior, Junior to senior, peer to peer. Do that and korean will be a breeze. my mother is Korean, and every time I go to Korea, I plan my trips out 3 months in advance so I take the time to reacquaint myself.
@thatweirdbitch AS far as Korean accents go. A couple of things to remember. 1) It's really helpful to imagine half swallowing a large jawbreaker and getting it stuck in your larynx. While smiling a big smile. What that does is remind you that all sound come from as back and as deep in the throat as can be had. The large smie, where your cheeks are raised very high activates the pharyngeal mask> Korean is a very resonant, glottal, percussive language. If you watch 'Carson' speak, even words like dduk(to hear) and nun/noon(have, must have) are very plosive and resonant in her pharyngeal. That's probably why older koreans always sound angry like they are yelling. For lthe long vowels, you even want to list the soft palate. If you noticed, she even spoke English words in a Korean accent until contextually she found it appropriate to speak more normal American standard English. t happened for just a blip, then she went back. I once asked the chair of communications at ASU if he knew why native speakers look at Caucasians funny when they speak the target language... apparently there is some linguiistic phenomena for this. Anyways, the very best of luck on your journey learning my 2nd language.Im sure you will do great.
Think of the other way. Whites don’t give a damn when Koreans speak English in USA. So why Koreans are amazed when they speak Korean? It’s an inferiority complex.
As one of the top internet leaders, Korea is fast becoming multi-cultural or at least have a full worldly knowledge. This video clip shows Koreans are still naive yet have a twisted mentality with inferior complex. They love white genre but critical of fellow Koreans. Example, I speak (no accent)and write better English than most whites. But when I wanted to teach English at SNUniversity for the summer, they said I am overqualified. Later I heard they prefer western blue eyes.
Insu Park, you have no idea right? If you want to post, at least use proper English. For someone who is trying to be a wise guy from USA, your grammar is wrong.
James Yu James, what are you bullshitting? Grammar doesn't matter in speaking language as long as you can understand it. Besides, I would be amazed very much if any foreigners in different ethnicity speak Korean. I respect their eager to learn their second and third languages and am grateful that they choose to learn Korean. It is true Korean society is still inferior to whites because we have been exposed to many Western cultures for more than 50 years since the end of the war. But so what? It's changing vastly anyway. Don't just generalize it. We are not worshipping white. If you are talking about this just because you want to go against us, yeah just fuck yourself. Don't be rude to my people. Also I don't care whether whites give a dame when Koreans speak English. I learned English for my benefit.

You talk as if native korean. Good pitches, accents etc. Even though I'm south korean, but I can't distinguish when I close my eyes.
Amazing and impressive -great interview an insight
Great video! I love it.😊
카슨 너무 이쁘고 목소리도좋고 자연스러운 억양. 나도 자극받네요.
열심히 영어공부해야겠다하구요.ㅎㅎㅎ
I wish UA-cam had a translator for comments like Facebook does 😩
you can get the google chrome translation extension and it can translate pretty much every page (semi) correct
But facebook's translator is not working very awful especially Eng to Korean
@0 Fhekeijls... That sums up internet comments in general

She is pretty ^-^
카슨 님이 제가 본 한국말 하는 외국인 분들 중에서 제일 잘하셔요....ㄷㄷ 영어권 나라 유학 갔다 온 한국인 느낌💭 목소리만 들으면 완전 한국인
She speaks like the native koreans
So fluent, both of you.
영어 자막 넣어주니까 너무 좋아요^^
보이스3 에서 티나로 나오신 분이네요...^^
그러게요 한번보면 기억에서 안지워질 강렬한인상!
문화수용에 대해 다시 생각해볼 기회를 주셔서 감사해요. 여자분 말씀도 예쁘게 하시고 맘 씀씀이도 고우시네요.
