The female Whippet was smart, loving, cuddly, and wanted to be with me always. She was a splendid companion and I will get another someday. My Sweet Emma was the most loving friend that I could ask for. She was truly an elegant addition to the 11 years that we shared together. She passed 10 months ago and I still grieve for her presence. 💔 4:07
We got a whippet. My wife, me and the kids consider him as a part of the family. What always astounds me is how friendly he is at 99.9% of the time and he seems like a softy. However, when he senses someone of the family is threatened, you litterally see him change his posture and makes pretty sure it is clear he won't play nice. It is the sweetest living being in our street though. Everyone likes him and he is the younger kids best friend.
My family had a whippet mix once, her name was dory and we had her before my moms adopted me. She was a insanely sweet and loving old dog but sadly we eventually had to put her down… it still hurts knowing I’ll never open my door to see her sitting ghere
I have a whippet You do need to consider the fact that they can break there legs easily so be careful when they are running with other dogs and try to run them on short grass not long grass of tarmac
Some very questionable "facts" in there. I've for example heard from a multitude of sources that there's absolutely no problem feeding them once per day and also that Whippet is a very healthy breed that has -no- race typical illnesses. Some sources of where you found these facts that seemingly goes against consensus in all whippet communities (and other informational videos) I've experienced would probably not be a bad thing.
Born 2 run if you outgoing type they'll love you 0ut on the fields and back home and sleeping all day loving and a bit of a rascal I've had them 2o years and loved every minute ❤
Ce n'est pas une race que je recommenderais sur la ferme mais pour une famille, c'est le meilleur compagnon. Presque aucun poils au sol, ne jappe pas, ne bave pas. Très docile.
Having owned 2, and seen numerous friend's whippies, I would caution: Whippets can JUMP.. as high as 9 ft!. and as far out as 30 ft (dock diving records). They can end up on countertops, tables, and even the refrigerator. 4 - 5 ft fence is a joke.. some can HOP over that.. and some people say that 7 ft. may not hold some whippets. Even greyhounds don't give you that kind of trouble! In any case, That was our only unfortunate surprise.. that and while around other dogs - socializing can prove complicated.. and they are a bit harder to train - lotsa treats seem to help. Otherwise, nice video.

Adopting a whippet was the best thing I ever did! I now have Freddie in my life.

Whippets are much nicer than most people
that long jump into the pool was impressive.
My roommate had a whippet. The dog loved it when I sang to her.
That jump!
The best kind of dog ever, I love our Joker, a male whippet...whippets are loyal companions, beat Friends and family members
Are they stubborn? Ive heard from a few that they are. And would you recommend as first dog to someone?
Friendliest dogs ever

Cute ☺️ 😊
Had 2 as a kid❤❤❤
Definitely good. I’d second the walk bit. If you have a treadmill it’s not difficult to train them on them.
It's too similar to my personality 😆

I once asked a dog show judge what the best domestic dog to get is and he said "get a whippet".
