So, I was using the Retail version of Retroarch on my Series X. That recently got blocked by Microsoft, so I had to go back to Dev Mode. No big deal. I re-installed Retroarch then I re-set up all my directories, bios, states, etc..... Everything works like it used to, except the Dreamcast Emulator. Now, for some reason, a handful of titles kick back out of Retroarch after they begin to start up. Metropolis Street Racer, Jedi Power Battles, Test Drive Lemans, and Star Wars Pod Racing. I'm currently stuck in the middle of Flycast on Retroarch no longer working with games it previously had no problems with (Test Drive LeMans, Star Wars Jedi Power Battles, Hydro Thunder, Metropolis Street Racer) and using the stand alone Flycast that doesn't allow for save files to be on USB (and risk losing them on a Flycast future update). For some reason, my Dreamcast emulator will only play one game even if I try to boot other Games that I have in my playlist (e.g. if I try to open Crazy Taxi or any other game, it keeps opening up Capcom vs SNK instead) Is there a reason this is occurring?
How do you deal with frame pacing in 30fps games? I have to manually change VSync Swap Interval from 1 to 2 (effectively reducing the refresh rate to 30Hz) but that's not an optimal solution. E.g. certain parts of Sonic Adventure 1 are 60fps (menus, Twinkle Circuit) which means they run in half the speed in 30Hz. Or how about Spider-man - regular gameplay is 30fps but CGI cutscenes require 60Hz to run at full speed (for some reason). If I don't use VSynch Swap Interval 2 in 30fps games, the bad frame pacing makes them very stuttery despite stable 30fps.
Hey man, can you help me with Retro Arch? When I play dreamcast 2D fighting games (like CVS2, CVS1Pro, MVC2) in 4K there are graphical glitches with the sprites and animations. Any fixes for this?. The only fix I can do, is to change the output to 960p, but I wanna play the games in 4K.
