I swear moving would not be stressful , but just knowing my cat is a very scarred kitty hates outside, lived in this house all his life minus the first 6 weeks of life on the streets. 9 years in one cozy house...
I took in a stray cat for a year (her previous owner kicked her out because she would always cause fights with the small kitttens.) and she was very well-behaved. She always requests going out when it was time to poop, my cat never got scared nor ran away because that's where she originated from, after a year my family decided to move and I begged my mother to take her with us and after a few tries she eventually agreed. On the day we were moving we did exactly what the video said: moving things first then the cat last. We put her in her cat carrier and took her home afterwards, a few hours passed and she seemed like she was coping and was very affectionate but then it all changed. I took her outside with her in her carrier to make her poop before I went to sleep (she refused to poop inside the house because it was a habit) but she refused to even take a look around or poop, then at 7am when I was about to go to school she kept meowing excessively and standing by the door, requesting to go out. When I saw that my heart dropped, I immediately knew she wanted to go back to her old place. My parents then took her back and she didn't even hesitate... As soon as dad opened the carrier's door she ran towards a pile of sand and began pooping. Anyways, long story short: my parents took her back and refused to get her back home because then she would be very confused and we might just ruin her life. (Sorry if the story is kinda messed up, I got tired of writing.)
Cats should not be let outside anytime, unless they are being supervised by you. It is dangerous to let cats outside unsupervised. There are other cats and animals they may have to fight, there is always the chance they could get hit by a vehicle. They are prey to larger animals also and of course, there are always crazy, mean humans to content with. Leaving them outside alone is unresponsible.
This is usa and australia paranoid narrative. Being in Europe my life and my parents 70 + years - always had indoor outdoor cats and it is ok. NATURE MADE ANIMALS TO STAY OUTSIDE TOO…. Not only cos they are pets but if you live in a normal town with gardens etc (clearly not if you are in a high rise building in New York City/ Tokyo/ Los Angeles you get what I mean!!!) it is NORMAL AND NATURAL TO LET CATS IN AND OUT. - what do you think god/ nature (for me god is Mother Nature and the natural order …) made cats for?? To be locked indoor always if they can touch the grass and earth and bask in the sun??? That doesn’t make any sense. It is illogical Talking from humans so DETACHED from nature. From humans who stayed in big cities too long and forgot what it means to be normal with a balanced lifestyle/ with basic logic. Cats naturally would roam outside too. Half the world does that so … what wrong with you in the USA?? You guys are too detached from nature and just out of balance or COMMON SENSE.
@@Jestin612my parents cats and all cats I know in Europe died old old. Talking 15 years up…. They all are or were inside and outside cats. What are you even talking about ???
cat is hiding under a blanket for the third day now. hasent eaten anything and is very angry and agitated when approached. dont know what to do to make it easier for her.
I separated from my husband so brought my cat the first day and had to take her back to my ex’s apartment she looked like having a panic attack. She was struggling to breathe and cried a lot. I miss her and I need to look options a medicine or Something to help her and bring her back with me. It’s sad cause my old apartment is so dark and my new apartment has tons of lights and windows. A lot of birds stop there I know she will enjoy that and the view. If someone knows something on how make this transition better for her please let me know, I miss her, of course I visit her every day. But not having her in my daily routine at my apartment is not the same 😢
Umm... so I finally got my mom to agree to bring a cat but we live in a apartment. Can you tell me the name of a few breeds that can be mept at Apartments?
Am I the only one with a cat who is let outside and she never leaves 😂 might disappear for a day or 2 but she’ll be back . I’m worried I might move out soon to a place I been for 5 years since I had her.
Thank u, this helps as moving soon to a property with a garden.

cats actually aren’t nocturnal!
their is a different name for them but they are active mostly around dusk and dawn!
crepuscular
And if you don’t have a garden
