9:06 Actually always wondered this since I was a kid. The term "You don't lock your doors at night" its something I've only ever heard in American movies. Do American doors need to be locked additionally after closing? Do American doors swing inwards or outwards? Can American doors be opened from the outside without a key? In my country (Ireland) and anywhere else I've been the doors have no knobs/handles on the outside and can only be opened with a key. So technically the door is always locked. Additionally the door can be locked from the inside with the key and this locks the key mechanism on the outside so even if you had a key once it's locked on the inside you can't enter.
Yes American (and Australian) doors need to be locked after closing. Generally this is done via a switch or something on the interior side, which can either be unlocked the same way it was locked, or with a key from the outside. The direction of the door swing depends on what door it is, generally flyscreen doors open outwards and regular exterior doors open inwards.
I love playing this game! Following loot clues is definately tedious and rarely worthwhile, but you dont really need to...I just obsess over things like that. All in all though, this is the mist mindless destructive fun Ive had since Just Cause 3.

Just finished the game and i'm fucking love combat system! It's incredibly fun and deep, letting you create cool builds. Story is so-so, but gameplay is amazing.
I just finished the main story with a friend (we did do a bunch of side content along the way) but I absolutely love this game, it’s everything I wanted from it. Still going to keep playing to finish everything else, then play through with a few other characters. The gameplay is an absolute blast, I seriously love the characters, tone, etc. the skill card system is amazing. I played with Dani & absolutely love everything about her. I personally love the writing & characters talking a lot, I don’t care that people think it’s cringe. I also loved being able to swap stuff & experiment with what I want to focus on. The game is just fun. Which I feel not many games focus on simply just being fun now. The story wasn’t too bad either, a lot of the side missions were fun too. I played through Dead Island 1 & Riptide with the same friend a week or so before this game came out & can definitely say they’ve improved a lot of things. The game’s optimization & polish is also great, I played on Series S & in the 36 hours I played, my frames only dropped 2 times. I hardly ran into bugs & glitches & if there were, they were just dumb funny ones. Not ones that are game breaking. The game just also looks absolutely beautiful! I have so many good things I think about the game that the few complaints I have just don’t even compare. The combat is my favorite part about the game, the weapons feel very satisfying & weighty. It’s okay combat by itself but combined with the skill cards & swapping with various weapons, it really accelerates the fun factor. Then with the flesh system, it’s a dream come true! I’ve killed 6,557 zombies & I’m still seeing new animations & at awe with the attention to detail & satisfying aspects.
Yeah, the few times I've encountered bugs it's been like "Oh, this zombie's head got stretched out" or something like that. None of them have been major, like falling through the ground, etc. However, I did see a zombie get randomly launched up in the air after I killed it yesterday which I recorded through my Xbox because I thought it was hilarious
@@Emil_Stoltz that happened to me as well & was just laughing my ass off, I’ve put over 70 hours into the game & all the bugs I’ve encountered have just been dumb & funny ones or minor inconveniences at best

For a game that took a around a decade to come out, Dead Island 2 chose a good direction. It’s basically Dead Island but in a new location. They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel. They added some new things like a card system instead of a skill tree. If they make a Dead Island 3 I hope they stick with the card system. Though instead of unlocking a cards each level I think you should be given a booster pack or you should have the ability to put money or experience towards a booster pack. Maybe you add a bunch of skills and perks , and keep the limited slots and inventory. Meaning you can’t keep all the cards you get. But maybe you have a card binder as part of your inventory. But, you’d have enough space to keep the cards that you need for your build with a few options to swipe out. Booster packs would be similar to buying a booster pack for a card game. You get mostly common cards. A few uncommon. One rare. The rare could possibly be a shiny card or gold card. These cards would offer the most bang. Rare cards could be catered to deciding characters. Cards would have levels. So you don’t lick out and get a card for a max level character at the beginning or break the game. Cards could also compliment, buff , or pair with other cards. Next would be mostly along the lines of more detailed and customizable options for crafting weapons. Maybe you find scrap but also parts, or items that could be combined with other items. But, Dead Island 2 has been fun so far.
What i really want changed is how when you make a weapon into say a fire weapon or corrosive that it converts all the weapons damage to that element so if you use a fire shotgun on a fire zombie or firefighter it does NOTHING. Would rather that the weapon loses a small bit of base damage and then gets a slightly larger amount of elemental damage on top of it so that way the fire shotgun may not do as much damage on a firefighter but it would still have the base PHYSICAL damage from the shot itself. Feels so weird swinging a huge weapon and having it be ignored just because i strapped some wire and batteries or something to it and the zombie is electric lol.
Honestly when I'm in one of the better areas like venice beach and such i forget that it's NOT open world because it feels like it is in all the best ways.

Dani is the best character
Yo loved your style bro. I scoured UA-cam for a Dead Island 2 playthrough and only RadBrad's showed up, he's okay and all but his commentary is not really my cup of tea. I'm sure I would've loved to watch you play and joke around tho, subbed
wow that was so cool and fun
hed up north its realy cold
I like how it's called dead island yet its not even set on an island
what do you mean "not open game anymore"? Previous games were also divided into smaller areas
This looks like an improvement over the original game. Is that the general consensus? Hope the system reqs aren't too crazy for 1440p play.
Optimization of the game is fantastic, so no high reqs.
Thanks!
an rtx 3060 is around the minimum for 1440p ultra settings at 60fps.
@@JudeTheUA-camPoopersubscribe Good thing mine is a 3060 Ti then. 🙂
@@PapagenoX09 that card can just about run 4k60fps In dead island 2. You may need to turn the textures down to high at 1440p because there is a little bit of vram spillover.
Jayvee I really think you should play the 2008 Turok game I’d love to get your thoughts on it it wa one of my favorite games as a kid
