I installed my own box braids 2 weeks ago and I always used the 3 pieces technique. I've watched few videos on here and these ladies really think that their hair was growing 1-2 inches in like 2 weeks 😂
lol. most ppl I knw always separate the hair. I didn't even knw you could braid without separating until I got to hair school nd that's how one girl did them lol
Thank you! I knew that braid hair was slipping. People were calling me a liar for telling them their hair was slipping out of the braid. They wanted to believe their hair had actually grown inches in one month 😆
Thorough explanation of the problem and the solution; close-up shots... Thank you!!! Hi many other videos and posts just saying "do it tighter", "do knotless", "don't blow dry", "go to a different stylist" .... 🤦🏾♀️ I *am* my own stylist 😂 This is very helpful!
im def gonna tell my mama to tell my hairstylist this bc im getting black and blue box braids tomorrow. last time i got them, people always wondered why my hair was laying on the playground.
I just got box braids a few weeks ago, the lady did a good job and was quick and made it budget friendly but I expect better from someone doing hair 20 years, I know about the no knot method and she didn't use it.
Very informative! It could be the gel they use. Most braiders do the two strand method. I don't like jam gel. It makes the hair to slippery and my braids end up falling out from not be able to grip the roots. I like using gels that's made like edge control. Hope this help someone! 😍😍😍
I'm very glad I came across this video....cuz guuuuurrll!!! My braids always slip out around the FIRST week of me doing them lol...I just bought some braiding hair today cuz I wanted to do another set to avoid doing my own hair for a little. I will be trying this way tonight.....Thank you for your advise!!! Be Blessed.
Thank you so much for this video! I knew I wasn't losing my mind. I've lost most of my middle, the whole back row, and 2 of my front box braids two weeks in😩. Now she's playing games not getting me rebooked for a touch-up.
Thanks. Ii was wondering. I even crochet 3 peice n they still go loose, and a video I watched was not having me split my own hair.. but def glad my braids dont fall out. But ima do this next round for sure.
It is also the hair. I use a certain hair and braid the first way and it stays in very well, I have just started to try a second type of hair and used the first style of braiding and it literally starts to slip after a week. Extr,Ely frustrating as I have bought bags of this hair. Will definitely try changing to the second braid style.
Im having this problem. Wish there was a closeup of the right way to do I worked it out but definitely need to find a tuturial that has a slow closeup of this technique. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it,Thanks.
Thank you so much for this video because I just got braids and there slipping out already and it's only been a couple of days SMH I need a real stylist Lbs
I’m so sad. I spent like 6 hours braiding my hair (for the first time) and I didn’t know this would happen… I wish I’d known it would happen and saw this 😢😢😢
I got braids about two months ago and was wondering if they were slipping or if it was new growth, I pulled on my hair and hunty they not going nowhere. Also now I know what to do when I braid my hair cause I definitely was using the first technic and my braids looked a mess after a few weeks.
In the 90s, I think my braider did this technique on purpose for easy take down; that's fine for longer hair, but if your hair is short, you're just gonna lose braids
my mother is braiding my hair rn its so loose. its not even hurting cause of how loose she did it. i’m scared its gonna fall out before the week is done
Adifferent point of view; I love my hair braided with the slip or slide. The take down takes an hour for a head full of individuals verses hours and hours of take down. I think this is the benefit of this method. Just be more gentle with your hair/braids. You will love the take town.
All braiders in my area do it the lazy way, of i ever dared to tell them to change the technique oh boooy they gonna rip my hair apart, they never accept any criticism 😔
When u box braid u put the rubberband on the parted box, then take the extension strand and wrap it around the base of the braid, then firmly do the braid.
the girl who did my hair separated it like it was supposed to be but i’m still scared their falling out! but it’s also my first time and my hair is growing so fast but she eats kinda sus…..
my mom always splits the hair but my hair grows sooo fast i literally will get my hair done and in 3 weeks they loosen up they last me a really long time tho up to 2 months i haven't gone any further than that
You've solved the mystery of why there is *always* a loose braid laying in the parking lot! Who knew? Thanks!
lol
hilarious that's exactly why lmao
Real talk. That's why I'm here.
8 of my braids came out & it’s not even the 2nd week 💀💀
I’ve had mine for 2 days and 3 fell out so far 😭
Same!!!
But what do you do when they fall out
@@sourmilk9009 yeah fr what do u do
Same for me I just got my hair did almost 2 weeks ago smh it’s crazy

Nicole Nunya lol
UNRULY MARSHA..lol.. they do....#thirsty
I can't believe you pull your braid out 😮😮😮
Thank you! I knew that braid hair was slipping. People were calling me a liar for telling them their hair was slipping out of the braid. They wanted to believe their hair had actually grown inches in one month 😆
This is actually so smart, i just tried pulling my braid, and it slipped right on out! I'm gonna let my braider know about this!
Two of mine just slipped 🤦♀️ haven’t even been a whole week
Did they slip before or after you used her method?
Omg mines slip soo fast I only had in two weeks n it's coming out already
"o damn my braid over there" 😂👀💀
Thorough explanation of the problem and the solution; close-up shots... Thank you!!! Hi many other videos and posts just saying "do it tighter", "do knotless", "don't blow dry", "go to a different stylist" .... 🤦🏾♀️ I *am* my own stylist 😂

It's usually only my edges that slip in two weeks

This is a really helpful video, I'm sure a lot of people don't know about this. Thanks! 😊
Thanks I didn't either, until a little while ago!

Love this! Thank you! I tried braiding my own hair and my braids were slipping! Lol. I'm going to try this.

My god, you just helped sooo much, thank you!❤

Thank you so much for this video because I just got braids and there slipping out already and it's only been a couple of days SMH I need a real stylist Lbs
This has been my issue!!! Thank you girl!
Great video!! If your hair is less than 2 inches It may be a bit more challenging to split it.
you just simplified this for me! thanks a milld
Thank you for this! Omg❤
THANK YOU I just did my braids like 2 weeks ago and noticed a lot of slipping😭
I’m so sad. I spent like 6 hours braiding my hair (for the first time) and I didn’t know this would happen… I wish I’d known it would happen and saw this 😢😢😢
I really need to learn to do my braids right so they won't slide out at all
My braids r falling out
I got braids about two months ago and was wondering if they were slipping or if it was new growth, I pulled on my hair and hunty they not going nowhere. Also now I know what to do when I braid my hair cause I definitely was using the first technic and my braids looked a mess after a few weeks.

Great. True True True
My name is Christine too
Omg what color do you have
7cr +8 r + 30 vol is the formula
Angela C Styles what color are your braids though please?
my mother is braiding my hair rn its so loose. its not even hurting cause of how loose she did it. i’m scared its gonna fall out before the week is done
And if you do the second technique and their hair is still falling out then what?
3 weeks almost all fallen out pissed

How do I know you??
Even with split up, they still slip out
All my braids came out, 2nd day 😢

All braiders in my area do it the lazy way, of i ever dared to tell them to change the technique oh boooy they gonna rip my hair apart, they never accept any criticism 😔

my mom always splits the hair but my hair grows sooo fast i literally will get my hair done and in 3 weeks they loosen up they last me a really long time tho up to 2 months i haven't gone any further than that
So what if the braided did it the second way but it’s already some new growth🤦🏾♀️
What do you do when they literally fall out onto the floor
