The Before series, Waking Life, Dead Poet.. & the documentary where I bawled the most at was Seymour: An Introduction. Someone who's integrated so that he knows his values, which aligns with his thoughts & actions, so that he's at ease. & Ethan Hawke's existential moments in that documentary touched me too. His thoughtfulness & how down to earth he is. I wish I had a friend or mentor like Ethan Hawke ❤

“Being true to yourself takes a lifetime, you can’t do it in a day” wow… I love how he’s dropping some incredible wisdom and then the interviewer is like “who would win in a fist fight” 😂😂 Hes a great sport about it though.

I was in love with the storytelling and the ride overall, but then got icked out by the John Lennon bit. Still, it's so hard to not finish an entire interview of his because it's like having a nice philosophy session with a friend or kind stranger...

'Icked out by the John Lennon bit', wtf! Hawke picking Lennon only served to enhance my view of him. The man has taste. Perhaps, you should listen to the pob album, for starters.

@@waynej2608 oh I have no idea about his music really aside, from the overplayed stuff, he is just known to be a historically abusive person to women. You will think I'm crazy but I'm not much one for the Beatles music, either!

@@Melinda_Sue Well, you're entitled to like what music you wish, obviously. I love The Beatles' and John's solo music. And, not just the stuff they 'overplay'.
As for his being 'physically abusive to women', well that's utter nonsense, really. Like many young men from Northern England, he was a tad chauvinistic. His first wife Cynthia said, he slapped her once, when they were in art college, and that he was remorseful and regretted it, and didn't do it again. And, he was like 19. Moreover, unlike many of his comtemporaries, John evolved and became an advocate for women's rights. Yoko helped in this. Check out the song John wrote, 'Woman is the N****r of the World'. And he always treated her as his equal, more so, actually. So, shoddy journalism, embellishments, hearsay etc, notwithstanding, John grew to treat women quite well. His behaviour in his youth warrents context, as I stated. Cheers.

I like this film he did with Robert Sean Leonard called "Tape" . I think his ex Uma Thurman had a small part in it. Low budget but good.
