How can we take the man-on-the-street interviews seriously? If you get 50 positive comments on AOC and 25 negative, then you just splice together the 25 negative ones. CNN would do the same, only you'd see the positive ones. There's no way for the viewer to know if this footage is really representative of her district.

I remember her doing a puff piece interview on a liberal friendly station. They were bashing Trump, calling for his impeachment, arrest etc when the host, enthusiastically, asked her what she would impeach him for. She got that horse toothed, empty eyed expression on her face, then laughed and said, "there were so many she would just pick one out of a bag." And that is a direct quote. Perhaps missing her vacant expression prior to that moronic answer the host, still enthusiastic, asked her to pick one. . She just kept smiling that dumb smile, but for some reason the host didnt bail her out (my guess is he gets no more interviews). After a minute of awkward back and forth she threw out, "tax evasion." And that's the exact moment he realized she had no idea what the grounds for impeachment were and it got super awkward as her smile took on a sickish, pathetic "why are you doing this to me" look. Of course the host pointed out that isnt an impeachable offense and it was only then that they finally moved off the subject. Bottom line this empty headed moron is a liberal media creation.

I know it's nit picking a single reference but New Coke was never meant to "make it" or even replace the original Coke. It was just a ploy to market a product in place of their original product that they new would fail and to reintroduce the original with Sugar replaced with High Fructose Corn Syrup. By using the customer outrage at New Coke as a smokescreen they avoided any when reintroducing Coke with the corrupted recipe. If any want to see the difference for themselves in the U.S. Mexican Coke (like Coke made in almost every country outside the U.S.) is still made with sugar uses the original recipe and is readily available in most grocery stores. Do a taste comparison, you'll never want a U.S. made Coke again.

Marty Germano - 40,000 was a wildly inaccurate number. The number was closer to 10-15,000 for the entire city. The jobs would have been largely obsolete in a few years due to a focus on automation. Here's what most people don't understand about the Amazon thing. Gentrification. This happened to the west side of Cleveland over the last 20 years or so. The area was full of older houses and businesses that were built before there were zoning laws. There could be a convenient store or auto repair shop in the middle of a block of houses. The neighborhoods were full of mostly lower income families, some who have lived there for generations. A lot of the houses were in poor condition because the owners couldn't afford the maintenance. They were places where you could buy a house in the 1980's or 1990's for 10-20 thousand. Then came the yuppies. Young people with good paying jobs started buying run-down houses and fixing them up. If the house was in bad enough condition, they tore it down and put up a new, modern one. Now the houses are going for 200 thousand plus. Now, the people who have lived there for decades, or generations, can't afford the property taxes, and have to move.That's what AOC was trying to prevent with Amazon, tho I don't think she knew it. She sure couldn't explain it when asked about it. And she somehow thought that tax abatement was money the city would pay Amazon for locating there. Still, 40 thousand jobs lost, hard to justify.
Voting for someone like AOC doesnt justify anything just dont vote for the unqualified thats doesnt understand anything. Please go back to bartending

If someone is employed, that sounds like a really good thing, obviously. But there's a BIG difference between someone being employed in one full-time job where they're working 40 hours a week and, let's say, two part-time jobs where they're working 32-40 hours a week. That's because part-time jobs... 1) Tend to pay less than a full-time position... 2) Doesn't give the opportunity for advancement nearly as often as full-time... and 3) Doesn't qualify the person for healthcare in most cases. In other words, for the sake of argument... if you had 1000 out of 1200 people who were employed as full-time workers and 1000 out of 1200 people employed as part-time workers... their employment/unemployment rates would be exactly the same, but the full-time workers would, on average, be working more hours, making a better hourly wage, have healthcare benefits, and have better opps for advancement than part-time. This is her point and it's not difficult to figure out... well, for us dumb folks it isn't. lol
