Hi Leon. This is a great video, and yesterday I created an amazon cart to get the parts, but then I saw that the FM3 now has Perform page functionality. Do you see any use for the 3 dial expression controller anymore? Thanks, and love your videos. You put a ton of time into them.
What tabs do you wire the tip and ring and sleeve to on the pots when doing this and how do you program it in the axe Fx3 3?

Awesome hack! I'm going to try this with my old L6 FB4 with large knobs. It's much bigger unit but what the hell, I now have like an extra 100 square feet of space on the board. LOL! Thanks for sharing bro!
I am using basically the same thing ... but I opted for some of those BIG RADIO CONTROL KNOBS so that I can easily change them with my foot on the go ... a lot easier than having to bend down and tweak with your hand ... just some food for thought.

Could you use 3 stand in switches,and set them for “presets “,”scenes”,and “FX”,so that when you press ,say the presets switch,it would populate the FC-6 with your presets??
I haven't tried it but that should work. You'd need each stand in switch to have a layout link to each of those just like the OMG9 setup.
@@LeonTodd that’s exactly what I want.....I had an FM3/FC6 running OMG 9....I have an AxeFXIII now,and am basically wanting to replicate OMG-9 on it and the FC-6........My FC-6 should be here this week....just wondering if you knew if this was possible?
@@scottpeters4401 Scott, I made a box that has the same profile as the FC 12&6 with 4 switches for that exact purpose. I’m using the axe fx3 with fc12, but should work on the others too. I have presets, scenes, effects and an extra for anything I want. Works great! I love this idea of a box now with knobs that I can mount maybe on one of my keyboards( I play guitars and keyboards in my band)
I know I now have per preset functions on the axe now but I may not always have access to the rack. I’m unclear yet and can’t get an answer from anyone as to the actual wireing on the pots. Which post goes to which wire and is each pot a trs or ts? Looks like he has 3 cables on 3 pots which lends me to believe they’re just ts?

my main pedalboard has a boss ms3 setup, where it has ext.control ins, you can fit 4 footswitches nicely into a 110x60x31mm enclosure, which is what i have now, but you have a bit more room to work with here

Yes, it's specifically designed to work with the III. It's not a general purpose midi controller.

Yes. In every category.
Helix=vw ....AXEFX=Corvette Just check and see who's using AXEFX that should tell you everything.
Yes. Helix is finally tolerable but still in the shadow of the Axe Fx. When it comes to distortion only the Axe doesn't sound like nauseating nasally crap.
Helix has greatly reduced that effect but it's still there and once you hear it you can't unhear it.
