I was so close to buying the Polished for Days Plum Taupe but then there was someone on Reddit that mentioned that they just just make their own. So I just took a half empty bottle of my go-to base coat and added a bunch of drops of a nude cream until I was satisfied with the coverage! It’s great, I highly recommend doing this if anyone is interested, and very customizable for your skin tone. My next experiment is to make a purple toned one to combat staining 😅
Thank you so much Caroline that was perfect timing as I finally bit the bullet and placed an order with Polished for Days for a blurring Base Coat and I went with the Plum Taupe one 🤗! I am so happy to see how neutralizing it actually is and I am super excited for all my sheer polishes that they finally get some stage time! 💖
You're welcome! I'm happy this was helpful 🥰 I still want to add a few more variations of blurring base coats so I have even more options. As you might have guessed, the yellower one might not work under some colors, same with the pinker one.
I use KB Shimmer Fillin' Groovy Ridge Filling Base Coat. It has a milky pink tint that has a blurring effect. My old fave which I can't find anymore was Nubar Ridge Filling. It also had a milky base that worked to blur your VNL.
Yeah that makes a big difference. I think if I were using a sheer pink I would have preferred the Cupcake. I would like to add more blurring base coats to my collection for exactly that reason.
I do not like any of the blurring base coats I own, including the PFD.. I'm just using Nude cremes now.. much more opaque.. what is the point of wearing a blurring base coat that does not blur.. Just a layer of polish that does not do anything for you... A money grab.. But your video is amazing.. I think it will help people :)

Interesting idea!
Thank you for showing all of the base coats side by side!
You're welcome! I'll have to do this again with more bases 😊
I liked it over the Cupcake Polish the best!

I like the polished for days blurring bases! I have 3 different colours.
Oh good! I think I'd like to try more from them. And I haven't tried them, but Emily de Molly also has a wide array of blurring base coats.
Talk about timing, i literally just got your golden traitor in the mail! It’s still in the bubble wrap 😂
Oh wow! Perfect timing 😊

imho, the Polished for Days work best for a burring base coat
Which PFD did you prefer YGT over?
Well truth be told the one on your index at an angle but the thumb one straight on, and truth be told I think it’s because of the color of the BKL 😂
