Few Candy.. As many have said before, you are an inspiration! Followed you for awhile, and after the disappointment of CS2 (console gamer here), you encouraged me to dive into this wonderful game..Thank you muchly, looking forward to continuing my Zoo along side your designs....
I didn't realise the walk- through exhibits didn't need any doors to keep the animals in! That's cool! Where the train leaves the cave and immediately crosses the visitors path, you might want to lower or pull back the rocks decorating the outside a bit, so deaf and distracted visitors can see the train coming (leaving the cave) before it runs them over.
Few, you NEVER cease to amaze me, I know, I've said that before 😉 This build, in particular, has got my creative imagination pumping this chilly morning. Thank you SO MUCH for all that you do, I don't know how you do all that you do. Just simply amazing!
😅 I like to think we've trained them well... or maybe there's some sonar barriers...!! I was originally going to put doors back in but it looked funny so I left them, not hyper realistic I appreciate lol
Just discovered planet zoo and your channel. Can't decide which one I'm more addicted to, and I'm reeeally addicted to my zoo. Thanks for the great lessons! Couldn't have made it so pretty without you ❤
Oooo love this idea!! The lighting really made the cave look dramatic at night. Could you use a guest barrier instead of the employee pathway to block the back exhibit instead? I love the outside of the cave too once you added all the greenery! I’m excited for the upcoming indoor exhibit!
Thank you!! So I've had a weird issue where staff can't cross guest barriers either, so seems they block both of them, really frustrating!! But I did manage to hide the ugly path at the end with a few rock pieces :)
Man, you almost make me want to get into Planet Zoo again. And then I remember the frigging frickly pathsystem and am suddenly content just watching your wonderful videos.
The train going through is such a cool thing! I was surprised that the exhibit doesn’t need doors, they must be some clever bats! Though I’m not sure if the bats would like so much lighting as they’re famously nocturnal
Amazing build again! Thank you so much for the rock formations tip. I tried to do some rocks around a big river in my Zoo but it looked ugly and unrealistic. Anyway, I think my next project will be an insect exhibits cave. ❤ p.s. I think the lights would be red not to blind people so they can see the bats, maybe it would also bother the animals little less, but not sure about this one.
Thank you so much Nikola!! Greatly appreciate the super thanks, and so glad the rock formation tip was useful! An insect exhibits cave sounds wonderful, and yes agree, the lights were probably too much as they are nocturnal creatures too, red would be a better fit all round, will definitely change that up!
I've only recently picked up Planet Zoo (on Steam sale) and simultaneously came across your amazing series, which is super helpful. I'm now hooked and am looking at buying other DLCs so I was wondering if you could find some time in an upcoming video to comment on the DLC packs. I got the Aquatic pack, which has been very handy, mostly for the water effects; and North America. In both cases this was inspired by your series. This also felt like a good mix of animal and scenery content to get me started. I'm sure that like me, not all of the viewers of this series have every DLC and while I know they all obviously have cool stuff to offer it would be really useful to know what you would recommend, especially for building pieces. Eventually, I'll probably get the lot 😄but it seems like it might be worth getting certain combinations eg: Australia and Oceania or South America and Tropical. Sorry for such a long winded question!
So maybe this is a dumb question, but in real life, wouldn't the repetition of the train going through multiple times a day harm the bats with the smoke from the train?
Yep, I expect it would! Could we pretend there's a ventilation system...?! For more realism you could add these via little gaps up to the terrain roof. The tunnel also isn't massive to I expect most of it would escape through the entrance and exit as they are covered!
To the BATCAVE, Robin!
😂

Ahh thank you so much! Appreciate the kind words, and glad I could get you in to such an amazing game!!

Great shout! Thank you! And yes they don't, although in reality those bats would be off and round the park lol
One thing you should do is add pronghorns to the bison habitat.

Aww thank you! 😊 I like to keep busy haha!
Awesome build! However, I will say I find it funny that your expensive bats could technically just leave!

Loved the cave and watching the bats flying around. It will be so much fun going on the train through there.
Omg what a cool idea. This looks amazing 👏 I love the idea of the train going through ❤❤❤
I'm with Clare on this one.
100% an amazing build!
All Michael's idea! Glad you enjoyed it!

😅 Glad you can still enjoy the videos!
Wow, that shot at the dark with the train going past is AMAZING😍. Need to get a yearly subscription on your zoo 😉
Aww thank you apaku!!
Absolutely amazing Few!
That is absolutely stunning what a great idea
Such a cute cave for the bats! The steam from the train would make the cave moist/dank so the moss makes a lot of sense :)
Thanks Heather!

We have the bats well trained...! Good point on the lighting too, may need to tone that down!

Thank you, glad you are enjoying the series! And yes I can look to add a section on what DLC's offer what and which I recommend for sure!
Really cool!!
Thank you!
Which DLC set gives you those gray stones... I keep getting everything BUT gray stones. Can you advise plz?
Can you pin point a time stamp of when I use the stones you want to know about please?
just wanted to point out this video says #15 but the previous was #13?? OHHH i just realised you are classing the live as #14!!
Haha yes sorry! I wasn't sure whether to incorporate the lives... I may change that!
@@fewcandy I find it good either way as I plan to join the lives it just may be confusing to those who don’t see or know about the lives!
Handys down, how much time did you spend on this?
Actually this was the quickest ep so far in the series by a long way, took 3 hours to record the build! (Then another 3-4 hours editing!)
So maybe this is a dumb question, but in real life, wouldn't the repetition of the train going through multiple times a day harm the bats with the smoke from the train?

@fewcandy yep, a ventilation system would probably work, but it would need some kind of mesh over it so the bats don't escape.
