Armor Tool provided me with with table and clamps. Even so, all opinions are my own :)
This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
Awesome work! Turned out great, really love the brass pins in the “druh”. 😜 Subscribed!
Hahaha! Thanks so much! I officially can’t say the word without thinking twice about it now.
I like the east side of tje u.s. !
It's Drah not druh 😜
Cracks me up when you say “druh”. 😉🤣😂
Do I have an accent??? Hahaha
3x3Custom - Tamar
Yea! Lol where are you from?
Well, where does it sound like I'm from? 😂
And I need to add this to the list of things I didn't know about myself until I started a UA-cam channel....
3x3Custom - Tamar New York somewhere, not the city, though. Maybe upstate, or way out on Long Island.
Always love that you show your mistakes and how you address them. I learn SO much without doing what you've already done. Never change the way you do your thing. Being unique is what we are always looking for. Btw... awesome build!
Thanks! Really appreciate that!!
Hi I’ve just stumbled on your video. I think your awesome, your natural way of presenting is a confidence builder. You really show it’s ok to make a mistake and move on. Great build by the way. Alan From Britain.
Thanks so much Alan! I really appreciate that!
very well done - I like how you cut the table shorter to try again and get better at it rather than calling it good enough - determination goes a long way
Thanks so much nick! It would have bothered me too much if I would have left it!
Here for the “druh”
Also, awesome job!
Ha. Thanks!!
That dowel and spring. BRILLIANT!
Thanks so much Joe!
That turned out great! Love the raw wood look. Very classy.
Thanks so much!
I love it and I'd like to make big box joints like that in a future project on my channel, but I'm a little clear what you were doing in that part. Did you cut them out with your jig saw? What were you doing with the router?
That drawer stop is genius!
Thanks! It works surprisingly well!
Druh stop.
Awesome! Ambrosia maple is such an awesome wood to work with, I made some clipboards out of it a few months ago. And you crushed those stopped dados! Also really like the brass dowels, just a great project.
-Caleb Harris
Thanks so much Caleb! It was so fun to work with. I have some left over to play around with.... 🤔🤔
Tamar, this was awesome! First video I've caught of yours...totally subbed!
Thanks Brad! What took you so long 😜
3x3Custom - Tamar probably because I never have time to watch videos for fun anymore 😃
I need to delete my youtube account, otherwise I can see myself buying way too much equipment, and spending too much time making furniture I don't have room.
Haha. I feel your pain
Yup cuz that's exactly what will happen. Your like "I can totally do that" Reality is maybe two out of ten things I thought "I could totally do that" I actually nail
@@icysteve46 Six years of woodwork/construction in school from the age of 11-18, and a 3rd generation carpenter. There's a reason I work a white collar and only dabble as a hobby! I'd just be buying equipment month after month and making stuff that I wouldn't want to sell. I will buy a lathe though to make a 4-poster gothic bed!
@@_Odin_ wanna buy my lathe. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought that.
@@icysteve46 Shipping all the way to Ireland may be a tad expensive! ;)
What the heck is a draw?
Apparently that's how we say drawer on Long Island.
Who cares she’s fine as f**k
So cool to watch you learn, great work!
Great work! I have been a custom furniture builder my while career and I am still enamored with your creativity and skill, thanks for sharing!
Wow. That really means a lot! Thanks so much!
Hermosos trabajos....me gusta mucho sus videos.....Saludos desde San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora. Mex....
Draw......er drawer drawwwwerrrrrr.
Ha! I've tried to say it that way. It just doesn't work. You should hear me say "coffee"....
3x3Custom - Tamar say coffee in your next video please.
if not for our idiosyncrasies how boring UA-cam would be.
Abram, no H in the middle & no S on the end. Norm Abram.

I've started watching your videos recently, and my 3-year-old daughter has joined me. We like watching you work, and I think you're quite inspirational for her.
That’s so awesome to hear 💪💪💪
Great job! Lots of firsts for you. That’s the best way to learn. Just remember when you’re showing your table to none woodworkers, you don’t have to point out the mistakes, most people won’t even see them.
That's actually great advice! I need to remember that!
It's the mistakes and fixes that I love in these videos so much. That's how we All learn without having to repay those mistakes. Great video!
Nooo please !!just be yourself!you are so unique so spontaneouse ,and your work...damn !!! is just something!
Just shared this video with my daughter. She does some woodworking and needs some encouragement! Great job!
Well that's awesome! Thanks!
Okay I'm going to be trolling here a little bit, there is nothing sexier than a drop dead gorgeous woman with woodworking skills, Bravo. Come for the beauty stay for the woodworking.......lol😀
i like your videos. Very distracting your mispronunciation of "Drawer". Would have liked to see more of the drawer bottom, unclear how exactly it fit and slid. Again great videos keep it up.
Beautiful Build!!! And I really like when you leave in and don't edit the mistakes. The spring stopper is perfect! 👍👍up!!!😁
Thank you! If I learn from my mistakes, hopefully someone else can too... the drawer stop was fun to figure out!
Nice video ... as this is 2017 ... you probably know now you can use water in many applications and wood types to expand your wood ... use sparingly
Love it ur a great woodworker it looks fantastic
Thanks so much!
I like mistakes but only when you tubers show or say what they did to fix them like you. Really nice job and the grain on the drawer...is perfection
Thanks so much. Really appreciate that!
Mmhhhhmmmm Box joint?
Can I conceal my joint in there...tryin to be Adam Sandler???
Weeeeeeeeeedidit!!
I want to come and work for you. I'm from Myanmar and I love carpentry. Now I'm working as a carpenter in Myanmar. It's not easy to come to your country. If you know your country, it's easy to come. You can't get enough to eat in Myanmar.

Hello, very nice work I congratulate you, I want to do it, I send you a kiss from Argentina, translated by google translator jeje
Lovely in both design & craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing!
Excuse me which country are you ? Thank you and see you later bye

@@3x3CustomTamar which state are you working?
👍🏻🙋🏻♂️, muy bueno... línea simple, bellísimo..😉
Nice! Love the way you say drawer. Burlington Bill singer songwriter and sometimes woodworker!
1. That table is gorgeous!
2. I love the finish you chose for it. That maple just glows.
3. The brass dowels are a classy accent - great idea.
4. EXCELLENT design choice in placing the drawer over the straight cut portion of the live edge shelf. Great eye for detail.
Don't feel bad about your hand tool skills. I've been working with wood for 40+ years, and my hand tool skills are sorely lacking as well. There's only one cure for that - more practice! Both of us!
So what's next?
Wow. I don't even know where to start with my response! First of all, thank you so much! I really appreciate all the kid words. And practicing is definitely the answer!! As for what's next, you'll just have to wait and see 😉
I think i would have done the drawer a little differently. I think I would have just routed out a straight grove down the center of where the drawer sat on the bottom ledge and then put a square cube on the underside of the drawer.
There's a very good reason that cabinet makers use dovetail joints on the front of drawers - it is a very strong joint.
At the beginning of every one of your videos that I've watched, you started over like three times. You'll say a word and then it'll stop a little black and then you'll say word and you'll stop and go black. It's kind of irritating. Barry
Babe, I'm just a novice at best. I mean received my first table saw yet it's in the mail but I admire your work. I love your table. My wife and I are going to do that table, not the legs but we're going to bleach off the copper table. The only thing is is we want to add some resin to the top to make it really pop but fence are just a little Smokey color. I think it'll look awesome. Not that yours doesn't. I just think it needs it to be polished. Anyway, thank you for your the education that you I've received from you so far. I wish I could you know I got. I like to build that table that you have horses. You know that to go cable. I think that would be just fine for the space that I have. Anyway, I've learned a lot from you and I haven't even started yet. You and some other guys. I don't have a good memory with names. I'm 70 years old and I've got one leg so it's going to be a challenge. Anyway. I wake up in the morning do a few chores I have and I shouldn't be on the TV and watch you guys all day for about the last 3 months from morning to bedtime. So I got a lot of my head until I get all the tools I need what I think I need what I want to work with. I'm looking forward to it coming. I'm either and I'm excited and thank you for giving me that way with the day I will be watching your videos. Barry...
Very nice build, still trying to figure out the accent...
Morning coffee with Tamar!!!! Excellent video...love that you share the fails along with wins...keeps us mire mortals inspired...thanks so much😄
Ha! Glad you enjoy! ☕️
Beauuuutiful, Awesome, Lovely, Take Care and Keep Safe Always lol mwuuuuuuaaaaah mwuuuuuuaaaaah mwuuuuuuaaaaah
Very cool. PS try to improve the audio on your voice and don't be embarassed to show procedures, even if you are still learning. the end result is what matters and this turned out great. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much! Yeh.... seeing as I just started this UA-cam channel. I didn’t want to invest too much in my recording equipment... I appreciate the feedback though
Great video. I won't pick on you for the accent (or lack of it), being from Alabama. We're used to getting picked on. Everybody asks us to say, "Ya'll come back now, ya' hear?"
Haha! I really appreciate that!
Hi from France :)
I like your videos...
For the width of your rabbets and kerfs you shoud make and use a kerfmaker ;)
It’s an amazing shoptool :)
( I hope i used thé wright words :) )
Thanks! Yes! I made a kerfmaker in a later video. I love it
Your little stop was neat. I'm a first class tool and die machinest, and I'm a lousy carpenter. Everything has to be perfect. Says a Lot for the "KISS" rule. Keep It Simple Stupid. Fantastic work. = )
Thanks so much! I love that rule
VERY NICE! LOVE ambrosia maple one of my favorites woods to work with. Just subscribed.idk if u sub other channels but I'd love to have u aboard mine as well. Look fwd to seeing more of what you've done and do in the future👍happy holidays!🍻
P.s. love ur accent..😁
Ha! My accent.... 🤦🏻♀️ never even realized I had one 😂😂 thanks so much!
Nice job! Just watched a reaction video last night of American reacts to differences between UK and American English. Had me laughing so much. This is another one hope you don't mind me saying. In the UK it's a Hall Table. A bit easier to say xD
😂
Hi Tamar ! Really nice table!! Wood color looks amazing!
Hey I got the same table saw !what brand of miter gauge do you use on it!!?
Thanks hopefully you keep uploading enjoyable videos with your wood creations!!
Thanks! I have the incra now
Nice project and great fix to that original joint error! And I really appreciate your humble and honest approach to presenting your work. Very timely for me, as I am wondering what to make with a bunch of ambrosia maple I just got on sale at Rockler.
Glad you liked it! Have fun with your project!
Just found your channel, and I’m hooked! Definitely going to be watching you with my daughter - you’re exactly the kind of role model I want for her :). Love your work and your presentation too - I’m learning loads of tips from you (kerf jig!!)!!
Awesome!!! This makes me so happy. I do this for my daughter. ☺️
Absolutely elegant! I dig it!
How do you like that Central Machinery Sander? Is it consistent and precise to your liking? Several times I've pondered buying that one, but wasn't sure if I should.
Thanks! It’s currently sitting in the corner of my shop not being used. But it worked for a couple years.
Came for the table, stayed for the draw. 😄
p.s. We only kid because we love ya!
😂
I think your videos are amazing. You are so modest about your skills But I think you are an amazing craftsperson. Great build, wonderful presentation!
Thank you so much! Glad you like them! 😊
I just watched like 5 other videos. It was clear you were really good right away, but seeing that spring door stop idea blew my mind. Creative genius! You really know your craft, very impressive.
Thanks so much! I don’t really know it. I just try, fail and learn as I go!
Woodworking is at least 50% recovering from errors. I like that you show how you recovered - it helps me tuck away methods for later. BTW, no issue here with your druhs, I just turn on closed captions whenever you're building drawers. 😉
Totally agree. I go into each project guessing how many mistakes will be made. Not if I will make any. Ha!
Hi Tamar in your video you say you dont have a jointer, i found a video for an alternative to a jointer which might be of some use to you in the future its from a youtuber called "Pask Makes"here is a link to his video hope it helps
https:/youtu.be21u4bou930w
Thanks for the link!
Love this! All of your work actually. I love your innovative spirit. You give permission to all of us who are afraid to try because we're not expert craftsman/women. Can't figure out why you kept calling the "drawer" a draw? Is it because of the style of furniture its in? Or is it the one word you can't drop you accent from? 😁
Thanks! Just my accent!
Beautiful women and clever :)
I invite you to Romania!
Tamar, again another wonderful video and project. Catching up on all your posts. Really enjoy watching your videos, love that smile.
Awesome to Hear! Thanks!
Proper east coast lady. Tomato/ Tomahto, coffee/ cawfe. In this case, it’s Draw bitches!
Nice build, came out well. Only way to train your hands is to actually train them. Keep at it 👍
Haha! Yes!! Finally!! It just sounds weird the other way! Haha! Thanks!
I thought the accent was fun. Just deepens UA-cam personality. Great project and interesting box joint method. I'll keep it in mind because I love using thick construction materials. Keep it up.
Ha thanks so much! I never realized I had an accent till I posted this video 😂
Really really cool build. Im going to log that drawer stop in the back of my head for future reference. Tnx
Thanks so much! I was surprised at how well it worked. He
Good on you mate, and well done. Love your vids. Very talented. I'm a Carpenter and am just dipping my toe into the world of Furniture making, keep at it. Cheers from Australia.
Glad you liked it!
geniaa muchas gracias por enseñarme aprendo de su sabiduría en cada video gracias por compartir🙏🙏😥👋
AWESOME VID! Thanks! Patience always outweighs practice with hand tools. :P
Thanks! I need to learn to be more patient!
First time visitor to your channel. Very, very impressed. I really like your “warts & all” approach to wood working. It’s good to learn from your mistakes, and even better to learn from someone else’s! Subscribed. 😀👍
Thanks! Every mistake is just a lesson! Hope other people can learn from my mistakes too!
Beutiful finish job. Love your can do humble attitude. I have a project list of 23 things. Including a wlanut, oval dining room table. With two leaves that store inside the table.
You have inspired me to play around with different joints instead of my tried and true ones. Got me out of my box you might say.
As I need to put my car in the garage in winter. My current project isa collapsable work table that folds up and is attached to the side of table saw. So I can pull out the saw and unfold the three piece table when I am working and fold it all up and put it away. It is heavy on function and low on esthetics right now. That may change.
Mistakes are the mother of invention. Keep it up!
Awesome! thanks so much! Hopefully you can knock those 23 things off your list quickly!
The important thing is you didn't give up. You will always make mistakes, I still make them after 30 years of playing with wood. Nice table 👍
Thanks so much! Totally agree! The fun part is figuring out how to fix the mistakes
You are way better than those male joiners. I appreciate so much your dedication on this craft. I love to do woodworks, though. But you are levelling it up. Thumbs Up!
Thanks so much!
Alright, I've looked through the comments and multiple word combinations on Amazon... where did you get the draw pull?
Ha! Anthropology
Me encanta tu cabello sueltosexi un beso felicitaciones pocas mujeres hacen lo que tu haces
Great table. I've been needing an entry table idea to match the oak bench I'm making from 8/4, and this is perfect. Think I'll use dovetails instead of box joints, though.
Would love to see that!
You've been SUBBED! You just came across my recommendations. Great Job on the build and nice editing.
😂😂😂 thanks!
I just learned a new way of saying drawer.!!!! I'll say druh from now on, like it..... Love your work and enthusiasm.!!!!!!
Hahah thanks!
One question; how's that Mitre gauge on the Dewalt table saw, have you had to make and retro fit adjustments to it? I ask as I've seen a few vids where people have had to adjust it with shims etc. I only have a Makita track saw for large stock. But looking at purchasing a Dewalt Table saw.
I don’t really use it much anymore. I use my sled now
That spring-loaded drawer-stop is a brilliant idea. I have to do that! And the concealed runners to make the drawer look like it's just sitting in place by itself are very clever. Thank you :)
Glad you liked it! Thanks!
From someone who has built literally thousands of “drah’s” you did a great job! You definitely have talent.
😂😂
I’m liking this a lot. I would like full width drawer.
tamar
I loved your practice and ease with the tools and you can make the execution process so simple!!
Congratulations!!
Glad to hear!
I really like the design of this piece! Nice job. and I agree with you, the box joints really add a lot. Good call cutting it off when you weren't happy with the joint.
Thanks! Yeh. That would have drove me nuts if I would have left it
The table turned out great. Simple and nice to look at. Keep up the good work. How big is your shop? I’m just getting my shop together and organized. Always looking for ideas. Thanks again you’re an inspiration. 🤗👍
Thanks so much! I work out of 2 bays of a 4 car garage.
My favorite comment of yours was, to paraphrase: "The table's gonna be a little shorter - not a big deal I just measured inside and it still fits in the space" LOL!
Ha! Looking at it, it looks like it was built for the space 😉
You’ve come up with some clever ideas (the drawer pin). And you sure make clever use of that brass rod. I’ve been doing this stuff for fifty years. I’m impressed.
Thanks so much! That means a lot!
Love the honesty of your work. Many folk would edit the mistakes and problems out of the video. Glad you don't, otherwise how'd someone like me learn? Keep up the good work. You have a great attitude.
Thanks so much! That’s the only way I learn. Ha
Cutting 90 degrees on really long and/or heavy boards is one of the main reasons I will never get rid of my radial arm saw. It can be a pain if you're stuck with one that won't go back to true 90 after changing to another angle (mine does after some TLC when I bought it) but being able to lay long or heavy boards flat and not wrestling with trying to balance them onto a sled is worth having one just to keep it locked at 90. That table is a very nice piece of work.
Thanks!
I was amazed to hear that you had not made a drawer before this. You have so much knowledge and experience that it surprised me. I also loved the way you pronounced drawer. Cute. Nice work lovely design.
This was an old video!
What a fantastic video! I love it when professional woodworkers say they're not so great at hand tools, it makes me feel so much better about the fact I'm still learning and practicing with mine. Awesome project and it looks amazing.
Thanks so much! This was a few years ago. I’ve since gotten better
Hey, realy nice table!
To fix gaps in box or dovetail joints you can make a small wedge and glue that in. Just use the same wood and pay attetion to the grain direction and you are good. Nobody will ever notice unless the use magnifiers :)
Thanks for the tip
I congratulate you. While many ladies get decorated and want a job at the desk, you work with body power. In fact, I do not find it very pleasant for women to work in the professions that require effort. ..
But since this is the art you do, it suits you very well.
The only way to learn woodworking is to do woodworking. Everybody had to start somewhere as well. Nice simplistic design and great execution.
Thanks so much! Totally agree!
Don’t understand The guys with thumbs down ... not cool...
great project!!
Ha. Can’t win em all.
I'm glad UA-cam suggested this video today. Watched a couple others, and just had to subscribe. :-)
That’s awesome! Well I’m glad too! Ha! Thanks!
Lovely table !!!! now I know that a single drawer is pronounced druh. !!!!!!!!! Thanks Tamar !!!!!!!
Hahah! Yup! Thanks!
DRAW.ER draw is what kids do with crayons. Odd otherwise your English is perfect. Why the one word?
PS - This is one of the few wood channels I watch regularly
It’s just the way we say it in New York
Well done mam !! it's fun watching you talking. 😜
Fantastic! Absolutely lovely piece. I love when mistakes are shown on video and how the problems are solved.
Thanks so much! I hope other people can learn from the mistakes I made
I've become all paranoid about wood expansion, so I'm curious if in the 3 years since you made this if you had any problems with that?
No.
I have seen John Peters' videos , he is a well rounded maker . your love for brass is starting to rub off on me . I really like that drawer pull . you did a great job on the reveal (the space all around the drawer) and it was a good call to cut off the end of your first attempt at the box joint , and recut it . overall . simple and beautiful piece of furniture . wish I would have started watching you a year ago. thanks for sharing the videos .
Thanks so much! I’m hoping to add brass to some more future projects
