- This is the latest bluetooth dongle that connects to your iPhone or Android phone, but this one is different. It has the latest professional software and bi-directional functionality. Made by @TopdonOfficial

Are you still liking the TopScan?
It’s still a powerful tool, but I found one I like better. Here’s the video: ua-cam.com/video/yNKTOdyetOc/v-deo.htmlsi=dR54Gdzc0pyxdle9
Got it using your link! Excited to try it out
Great! I think you’ll like it.
Thank you so much for your recommendation☺
Glad to. I appreciate you.
I’m not a mechanic, just a car owner. I’d like to have a pro-level tool like this when something goes wrong, but that might only be every other year or (hopefully) even less often. Do you have to maintain the subscription continuously, or can you let it lapse and then renew when you need it again?
@@DaveEtchells Thank you for contacting us. The first year for both TopScan Lite and Pro versions is free. After that, the upgrade fee for Lite is $49 per year, and for Pro, it's $99 per year.
Tablets get no love but they are a techs best friend imo great info man nailed it!!
Absolutely. Cheers!
Does it do cylendar contribution or other diesel scans?
Very nice video. Well done
Thank you very much.
Your shirt is awesome 😂
Thanks. My daughter bought it for me.
I currently have a traction control light on, would this scan tool be of use to give me a diagnosis of what the problem is that caused the light to come on? Your video gets an A+ for content and clarity, nicely done.
I feel I should answer this question carefully. This tool, like any other ‘full function’ scan tool will read codes and live data in your ABS system. Depending on which make and model of car you have, the TopScan will also perform different bi-directional tests in that system. It’s up to you to gather that information to diagnose the problem that you’re having.
Hello again, Steve
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 How did you make out with all of the thunderstorms. Were still not quite sure when all this will be done. Anyhow take care for now 😊
Hi George. This weekend we moved into our new house (other was a rental). Had to stop a couple times when the rain came down hard, but it helped to cool us off. Thanks for saying hi, always good to see ya.
Very interested to know if it can reset the alcohol density reading on an FFV 2013 Tundra. Mine gets out of whack every winter and I have to have the stealership reset set it.
Trans fluid temps would be great also! Thanks for all the great vids!!!
Closest I found was called Learning Value Reset. The description says it resets all learned values related to engine operation. Also, yes it does see trans fluid temp.
@@ToolDemos thanks for the info!!! Where did you buy yours?
@@JATO7980 I have been using it in beta testing. They just sent it to me.
Does it read the transmission fluid temperature on your Tundra? I am looking for a scan tool that can for my 2020 Tundra.

@@ToolDemos Thank you Steve for making that short video! I will make sure to buy it using your link. Look forward to your future videos!!
@@TaxFreeNV great. I hope you enjoy using it like I do. See ya next time.
Hi
If the first year ended
are the dongel closing?
They are still promoting these and are updating it often.
@@ToolDemos That is not what he means. Is the Dongle still functioning or do he (i, you) have to pay again 60 bucks for another year?
@@DerGolf2000 @hamadakhatir5774 gotcha, thanks. The dongle will not function fully without a subscription. It will only read codes.
Where did you get the app? In the App Store it says not available in my country on Apple?
I got it on the Google play store. It’s possible that TopScan is not available in your country.

I found it on the google play store but not the Apple Store unfortunately.! Trying to find a way around it or what tablet do you use?

Hello ,
Good day .
I hope you have idea to help me out .
Becuse If you mention this , so you should know about what its called DLC , my car Lexus ls 400 95 model amircan specs, have DLC under the dash , So its use to connect E1+TE1 .( using jumber wire ) , then the engine light start flashing, and you can count the lights and know the code error number .
I did that , but its not working , the engine light stay on without flashing.
And if I connect the jumper in DLC in the engine , between E1+TE1 .
The check engine light also stay with no flashing to count.
I did connect Bluetooth OBD2 to the OBD port ( I don't know if OBD was knowing in that time , but thers a port down there) .
The Bluetooth device blinking and connected to my phone , but I have massage at the phone : cannot connect to ECU .
Any magic way to know the error cods .
Appreciate your help and support.
Two things to try:
First, make 100% sure that you have the terminals located correctly. If if you flipped the diagram by mistake, it won’t work.
2nd: check the circuits. Make sure that the E1 pin is a good ground and make sure the TE1 has continuity all the way to the ECU.
Is the subsriction for software updates or for use of the reader?
Both. Updates come in all the time while you’re subscribed. But, you must be subscribed to use it at all.
@@ToolDemos oof, I bought one the other day and the listing implied that the subscription was for updates and not for it to be useful. I doubt updates are coming for my 2003 truck lol
The websites says you can use it as a simple OBD2 reader for life.
@@chazevans352 true, but you can buy an ELM386 dongle for less than $20. Still, good to know. Thanks.
I wouldn't want pay a subscription for the updates after the year, just carry on using it as it is, I take that wouldn't be a problem ?.
You’ll lose functionality. It’ll just be a code reader.
Cool, but the subscription is a rip off imo. Plus the dongle doesn't work without a subscription? No friggin thank you.
I bought the DashCommand app for a one time fee of 10 bucks about 5 years ago, with a 15 dollar dongle. It doesn't have the abs bleed but it does most things I need it for. Overall it's paid for itself many times over, and I can use the dongle with any app.
You must have an ELM386 style dongle. I’ve had one of those for years and it really is a workhorse.
@@ToolDemos I'll have to check, but the info you get for the price is hard to beat. DashCommand has always done well for me, but I'm curious if there's a better app I should try?
