I mean nets work too, sure just like grips they have pros and cons and applications that are better or worse so know your game but, nets can be a valid option too.
Absolutely. I use the net to land the fish, then I use grips to handle the fish. Dehook take pics and so on.
That's good to know Chris. I have had the same pair of "The Fish Grip" for 2 years and love them, but I didn't know other brands might suck. Thanks man!
Yea wish I knew before I tried all these others. Also realized putting out a video at 11:30 pm probably not so good either lol
@@WolfsFishing ya that's how we figure it all out lol.
Good video, it's because of where the pivot point is the top is flexing open, I have been using the glow in the dark set for a couple years.
Yes same here . Thanks for warching. Got extras for my wife and used the rest as spares incase I forgot it. Tight lines
Geez, had to go out to the garage and check mine after viewing this. Lo and behold they are The Fish Grip brand and I bet I've had those suckers for 10 years and have used them a lot. They still don't open if you squeeze them. Good reviews. Cracked me up as they looked like they had teeth marks all over the pinchers.
Awesome man. Those are the best ones for sure. Oh hey on the clips there is different sellers of the same product on Amazon and they come quick
Good tip, I'll definitely be checking and making sure when I buy my 1st pair this spring
Yea if you just stick with "the fish grips" you will be all good. Thanks for the comment. Tight lines
Thanks for the video. I just got a fishing kayak and was going to get some. Will be sticking with the originals.
Yea "The Fish Grips " are the best. And the floating nets by foreverlast at Academy are tye best for price
Thanks for the info. I was about to buy a fish scale that came with grips thinking it would be a better deal than buy separately.
Yea I have a bunch that "kinda" work but yea man glad I can help
I'd like the information you're putting out about the fish grips biscuits but you also have the side of other people saying that it's a user's problem I respect what you're sayis what you're saying I get what you're saying yeah and I love what you're saying keep telling the truth keep putting it out there real good You get what you pay for
Yes Sir, I've tried so many different kinds. And the last thing you want I'd for them to open at the wrong time. Thanks for watching
I just bought the small rapala fish grips 👍🎣
Those are good just small. If I need them for a big hardhead or something I like the larger ones. Tight lines
It baffles me that companies will design a product (Grippers) with such a major flaw that could be easily addressed with some minor tweaks. It sucks they're fine knowing their customer's are probably going to lose fish and possibly get hooked to the fish when the inevitable happens
Absolutely agree. The first one I had I picked on design that would get in quick never expected it to disengage. And natural response is to squeeze tighter which ends up letting go. And yes I believe also easily fixed. Thanks Johnny for watching and the comment.
Thanks
Thanks for watching and Tight lines
well if you aren't going for the fish that do death rolls(snakeheads) then yes, you don't need a boga. I've lost few fish with the regular grips... but thanks for the info.
Oh AR that is crazy man didn't know or think about that. I totally see that being a good reason to have one. Thanks for the comment and watching. Tight lines out there
FYI they make a bigger 9 inch rapala version that's what I have
Yea I've seen that one those seem to be pretty good. Cool man thanks for watching and Tight lines
@@WolfsFishing cheers
Ordered one from Walmart via mail. Looked good on my screen. Upon opening package, they were about 6 inches long. Guess I can use em for mousy reds. Too small for rat reds.
Yea how I felt when I got mine too.lol thanks for watching
RAPALA RFFG9(23cm) nice lip grip
thank you for your content. Super helpful
So I measured mine it's 10 in I guess the packaging is 12 in
very very helpful. never knew that information!!
Yea man. I found out the hard way. Took me a second to realize that it opened. So I tried all the ones I could find as you saw on the video. Thanks for watching
@@WolfsFishing thank u as well. Might get the The Fish Grip. 👍
Just bought the yellow and black pair from WalMart and they don't open up like you show so it might be a that each pair is a bit different.
Just becareful I had some start off good and later started to open. Just check them periodically. Don't want to be showing someone your fish and it falls back in the water. Thanks for Watching
@@WolfsFishing Sound advice.
Great insights
Thank you sir. Hope it helps someone. Thanks for watching
Boja grip pricey but worth the cost.
Oh yea. Maybe it's because I've never used some in person. I do like the scale. Got me intrigued for sure just that big float. Could just tether it I guess
Appreciate the video dude 🤟
Yea man. Just sharing the knowledge. Thanks Henri for watching and Tight lines
Great information 👍 🤘
Thanks Chris. Thanks for watching
@WolfsFishing aways man good stuff
I had the big rapala fish grip and they work good with the small blue catfishs but once they hit 30lbs and up. The grippers tend to bend left and right and the fish would fall off. Is there any better brand or any better ones out there???
"The Fish Grip" brand are really good and strong. They should be better. Otherwise the metal grips. I've caught a 50lb Drum but didn't even try the grips
Holy shit just realized they are 3d printed 😂
I think the cheapest ones are but "the fishgrips" are not , yoy can see the excess mold
Get a evergreen HD stainless steel
Have to check those out. Thanks for watching and Tight lines
We want to get a pair, never tried them. We like to Ketch Catfish. Walmart is Crap Quality with a good share of stuff. We all spend, waste money Trying to get a workable Product. To much Marketing hype.
Yea the Brand "The Fish Grips " is the best now Flatwaterbaits.com has some just like it and are good, worth checking into. Thanks for watching
@WolfsFishing Appreciate the Response, We will just get the " Original" .
@eugenegress5896 awesome they will last forever at least seem like it. Here is my affiliate link if you go Amazon route.
amzn.to/3WrGY7W
What about the one with a scale?
The Boga grips are very good and made to last but expensive and don't float. Knock off bogas rust and are not accurate. I do carry some bogas but only because I found real ones at a garage sale for 5 bux.
@@WolfsFishing the Boga only handle 15lbs...
I believe they have 2 versions 15lb and a higher-end but very expensive. The Red I caught recently. My pb red was 15lbs I need to look at the version
What size are the " The Fish Grips " ?
They are the 12 in. I'm sure the 7in are good just little. Thanks for the comment and Tight lines
@@WolfsFishing thank you. A Google search says the ones for sale are 10". Would you be able to put a link to buy a 12" one? Amazon has one that says 12", but when it arrived it was 10".
amzn.to/45nCL8f this is the one I use it glows in the dark. It says 12in but would have have to measure to be sure. I will try to remember tomorrow.
@@WolfsFishing That's the one I purchased - And it says 12" however, it came in 10" - and like a zip lock plastic bag. I suspect they are a china knock off
Send it back the "The Fish Grip" is stamp into it. And is not a zip lock it has it's own packaging
Thanks
Yes Sir, I went through so many. I figure I should share the knowledge. Thanks for watching
